What a great place to walk round and gather inspiration for giving your home a new look. I always end up buying instead of looking, their range has something for everyone. Recently bought a new sofa and ended up redecorating and bought some lovely soft furnishings. The staff are very friendly and offer great advise. They are happy to let you browse with no pressure.

We took delivery this week for 4 absolutely stunning zebra print dining chairs. The quality of these is second to none. Solid, well made and so comfortable. They look absolutely amazing in our open plan living area and made a huge statement to the room. Delivery was on time with agreement and very very well packaged. Looking forward to replacing our sofas before Xmas.

I’ve just purchased the Oskar 4 seater chesterfield in leopard print, I’m so excited it’s so unique and will be a total statement piece in my new home. Vintage sofa company are simply the best. Like many, I was persuaded by the truly extraordinary number of 5* reviews here. My experience may help others. When my Hepworth Chesterfield sofa in Gold Spice Velvet arrived, it did not reflect the online images and YouTube video shown. The entire back panel was a different colour to the rest of the sofa, a light beige so much paler that the sofa looked two-tone. The fabric itself was thin, with barely any of the plush nap you’d expect from the “luxurious” (their word) velvet advertised. Indeed you’d be hard pressed to call it velvet at all. Vintage Sofa Co said a return wasn’t possible because my order was “bespoke”. They use this word all the time, and they use it wrongly, to distinguish between their in-stock items and the items they order and get from a third party manufacturer in a limited range of sizes, materials and colours. That is not bespoke, not made to the unique one-off measurements, materials and colours that a customer individually specifies. When I pointed out that their misuse of “bespoke” constituted false description, they insisted “well, it was made specially for you”. What disingenuous drivel! Imagine choosing an off-the-peg shirt from a shop and being told it was made specially for you. Retailers often like to tell you something is their "policy". For policy, read preference. It's no more than that. If you find yourself in this situation, persist. I did. Eventually they agreed to accept the sofa as a return, if I paid the delivery charge. To guard against any allegations of it being damaged in transit, I called Vintage Sofa Co’s own couriers. Their charge would be £150. I asked Vintage Sofa to arrange and was told it would cost £180. That got reduced. What didn’t was the 25% re-stocking charge they demanded, amounting to £500. If this happens to you, research the legality of restocking fees online eg Martin Lewis’s Money Saving Expert. A costly lesson learned – don’t trust online advertising – but worth it not to have such a poor quality lump of furniture staring at me every day.

What a brilliant company! I asked for lots of details on lots of different sofas and nothing was too much trouble. We eventually ordered the Charles 2 seater. When it arrived it was delivered with care and the delivery service was exceptional. The sofa (which we had not sat on due to living many miles away) is exquisite to look at and so comfortable to sit on. It is beautifully made, the leather is soft but robust and is very competitively priced. We’re so glad we took the plunge with this company and we will be ordering more from them.

The gentleman who helped us (whose name escapes at the moment) was pleasant, friendly, and joined in with our sense of humour. The delivery team were helpful and patient while we reworked our placement plans - loveseat couldn’t fit through the doorway and ended up staying in the orangery, creating the perfect scenario to turn that mishmash office space into my new cosy library! My only criticism would be visible signage to the showroom - because it is so far off the beaten path, we were convinced we were heading in the wrong direction.
