Tipalti has really helped us automate our AP process with respect to our recurring non-inventory vendors. Not having to spend time coding expenses and switching to a review model has been a big boost to our Department's quality and processes.
The software is easy to use and the payment processing is seamless. Tipalti has Great Customer Service.

Expectations vs reality They onboarded us falsely, Half of their systems are manual They donot guarantee the delivery of payments They make payees as payable or not payable Payable in simple terms (will be paid) or wont be paid -- then for payable, in their system, docs missing or some details missing etc. Funny part is they donot notify your system about it, you need to read the text from their portal in html pages. Lol, working manually. If you want automation, forget about this joke company. They promise you something and they donot give them in reality.
The worst payment processor out there - so unreliable and with tonnes of bugs - my whole company ended up going with Stripe instead, and we've never looked back.
Great platform with probably the best customer service I've dealt with in a B2B software company. Has plenty of integrations with other platforms which is key in today's finance world. Does what it seeks to do, with the real clincher being that when something doesn't work as intended (which will always be the case at some point with any solution), there is always a real person who can actually understand the problem to help.
Overall the system is doing the mandatory things. Capture the needed information, support workflows, and have a good connector to Netsuite. Where it lacks is the non-trivial areas like the ability to create a customs dashboard or build more complex workflows based on certain fields. Integrations to other systems (like DocuSign) ability to keep contracts etc.

We used Tipalti for the minimum term of 12 months. During the sales process it was sold as a premium service that was fully customisable with a very thorough implementation process which was quite costly. Whilst lots of initial meetings for the onboarding seemed they were building a custom workflow by the end we were just granted access to the system with minimal customisation performed by the team and it was built through trial and error on our side. When we started using the product, we found it to be quite clunky and slow, suppliers complained of issues accessing their portal and we found ourselves dealing with sync error's with the bookkeeping system which became time consuming to fix. The system feels quite fragile and breaks often requiring support, Customer Support can take a few days to turn an issue around in most cases requiring a lot of emails back and forth to resolve. We stopped using the PO function as it was just too clunky. However once you do have an invoice through the system the payment cycles is relatively easy even if it takes quite some time for cash to hit your tipalti account. We were assigned a customer success manager, to date I am unsure what their purpose was as they couldn't resolve issues provide support or much guidance. Wouldn't advise using them as it is very expensive for what it does.
Tipalti is currently withholding funds without any reason - haven't been able to login due to upgrading my phone contract and their support / submit a ticket system gets no response.
I did a service for a company that used Tipalti. They said they paid me through them but the money never arrived. So now the company blames Tipalti for not paying me (due to their INSANE minimum Threshold to actually pay you) and they say the problem is with the company that is supposed to pay me. They don't give me any information and don't care about solving the problem. So they are either scamming me or helping a company do so. Shameful.
Great for AP+ Payments. Good integration with Netsuite.
This company is a scam on the people who have to go thru it to get paid, they steal your money, great for the businesses who are to lazy to handle their own finances, dung for the people who rely on it for their earned money.
Takes days after supposedly being sent to them by distrokid to get paid people are even waiting 2 weeks now. They don't respond to customer service or on x when you @ them. Just search their name. It's bad.
As a payee whose company uses Tipalti it sucks, it is not user-friendly and uses numerical codes that have no logical connection to the company that is paying you. You have to click on all these PDFs, and try to match up the amounts with jobs with no real information. There seems to be no rhyme or reason how the payments are made and they charge you a fee every time they pay you and it seems they pay you one job at a time I hate it.
Have been utilizing Tipalti's services for several years. They are responsive and help solve any issues that arise.

So I made a withdrawal on Shadowpay, and due to that, I had to use Tipalti. I was waiting for 3-4 days for them to transfer to PayPal. I did not understand why I have to wait this much so I wanted to contact them thru a ticket. They was never answering me.
