Fantastic service
We purchased around 3 to 4 thousand pounds of products from The Flash Center in previous year. Their service was top notch. However, this time. We purchased a light stand with 3 sections from them and found the top section can't be pulled out within 2 weeks. They refused to replace the unit or refund. Their reason is the stand has comestic scratch there. What I am thinking is, light tripod is light tripod. You don't wrap them in air cushion padding. You put them on ground. you carry them with other tripods, which will scratch each other. Having comestic scratch is a norm. If the product is faulty (can't be pulled out), why can't it be replaced or refunded? They keep insisting that its our fault but we honestly didn't drop it. If this is purchased for more than 2 weeks, I honestly wouldn't even bother to go back to them to ask for repair or replacement. But as a NEW product purchased within 2 weeks and the top section is not working FIRST time we try it. This kind of service is outrageous. I was a loyal customer of TheFlashCentre. But we spent so much time on phone and in store this time just for this stupid tripod and their 'policy' . Btw, the 'free lone' in the reply was granted after 1.5 hour of negotiation ,starting with a price we have to pay to a inferior product that we dare not borrow as it doesnt look like it can hold half of the capacity of the faulty product we purchased. The store manager Lu insisted that was the only one we can borrow. After an hour of negotiation, they finally let us borrow a similar product. Anyway, at least they finally let us borrow a similar product for free after 1.5 hour on the phone and waiting time in store for their meeting and for that, I guess I should raise the star to 2. Actually, to be fair, based on their past excellence service, I have to even this one off experience to 3 star .
The service from TFC is always on point and the prices are some of the best around, items are well packed and despatched asap. 5 stars all the way.
Why buy when you can rent at a fraction of the price and get great service too - what more can I say :)
