We love the fence, but the installation and follow-up was difficult: the installation was delayed several times because of, apparently, difficulties assembling a crew. When it was installed the drop pin was missing to anchor the double gate for secure closure. It took several weeks and many phone calls to have some return to install the piece. A few weeks later out lawn service broke a hinge. I again called many times, left many messages to have some make the repair. This time with no call-back. I finally went to the Split Rail office, took the broken hinge for identification, bought it and installed it myself. Very frustrating, but a great fence. I just wish the service matched the product.
This was a job that needed to be done for quite some time and it finally happened. The crew was easy to work with, the job got done fast and I was overall very pleased. Thanks so much.
Original start day happened to be starting SPLIT RAIL thinking of starting. :). So, they start whenever they fill like starting, not on the start day, but after one, whenever. The crew put the posts in one day (did great job by the way) and then nothing happened for a week. All of a sudden, in a week the fence installation crew shows up without any notice and start working on fence installation. When I asked why they didn't let me know they were coming, the answer was: we were not supposed to start, but scheduled job for today couldn't get started for some reason, so we were sent hear. (lucky me...) Again the crew did a great installation job in day and a half, and left, but the fence was installed in rough condition. For 2 weeks we were waiting for next crew to come and paint the fence, but no luck. So finally I lost my temper and started e-mailing the company asking when the fence will be finished. At last the painter showed up and painted the fence. That would be the end of it, but soon we realized that 8' gate was installed with cute looking lock, but can be disengaged by slight push on the gate. When I contacted SR asking to provide at least the meaning of use a padlock on the gate, the response was that it was priced that way. (They never give you any options) So, here I am unhappy owner of $8000.00 fence having to figure out how to modify it myself.
They worked hard to get what I needed- reasonable cost and low maintenance fencing.
Our fence was built on the day specified. The fence is stronger than I would have imagined. I feel my dog is safe and unable to find a way out of this fence. I am very pleased. I would recommend this company to my friends.
Quality materials at a fair price. Crew worked into the dark on a cold night completing the wire mesh installation so that our dogs could get out the next day. Best looking fence in the neighborhood, along with the other one that has a Split Rail Fence Co. sign on it.
I really love what the fence has added to the appearance of our property.
The crew that installed the fence were great especially the finish crew whom spent a lot of time making everything line up. The sales part of it was not so great as we had to do a lot of follow up calls to get the project going.
Great product, staff and crews. I will DEFINITELY have Split Rail do my next fence!
For truly expert craftsmanship in the fencing industry, Split Rail Fencing is second to none hands down. The company's staff, employees, and management team function as one precision unit in motion to meet all customer needs.
My fences were installed while I was out of town. To come home to beautiful workmanship, and everything done was a pleasure. All the people I met with, and talked to, were knowledgeable, helpful and professional. It was a very good experience. I plan to use them again in the future.
Larry was more than helpful with getting the fence situated and getting everything planned out. The crew did and excellent job and went above and beyond. Very happy with everything!
In the past I have had very good experiences with the 'Split Rail Fence' Company and I was again very pleased with the job that was done for me in 2015. The Project Manager Chris Haines was very attentive to my needs and resolved any questions/issues prior to starting the job. Both installation crews (one for the posts/rails and one for the wire/gates installation) were very professional and made sure that the installation was done to my satisfaction. The person working on the installation of the horse metal gates went out of his way to ensure that the gates would close properly. -- Overall this was a job well done by everyone!
