My experience with SkyTab has been great. Greg came in and met with myself and staff. The team came in and got us set up and I could tell they really cared about our business. Great service all round. Machine seems good so far, very modern and a handy back office too. Saved me a pretty penny as well, can’t complain! Would recommend.
Overall, a decent system especially for the cost -but unfortunately, they’re trying to keep up with other POS systems that are comparable and so they push out “free “ integrations or services that are not where they need to be when they are launched. They’re online ordering, for instance, does not allow for nested modifiers although it lets you set it up it glitches out when a guest tries to use a nested modifier. Also, very frequently let’s Certain modifiers that are deactivated for online ordering go through on the other end, even though they’re deactivated. But by far the biggest issue, I have found that they’re not willing to do anything about is their DoorDash integration-Their financial summary does not split out DoorDash sales taxes as a line item. It just lumps all of your sales taxes together on your report. Unfortunately, they do not tell you this so you have to figure out down the road that even the DoorDash sales taxes are included in your total sales taxes-As in our situation, we were paying our sales taxes on the monthly basis, and DoorDash was collecting on their end as well, so we were paying double in sales taxes. It also does not count for discounts made through DoorDash-It includes total sales from DoorDash on your financial summary, regardless of any discounts given and so you’re also overstating your sales thus paying more taxes On sales, you actually did not make. The company I used to install reached out to customer support and basically said they could not do anything about it-I know it doesn’t take much to add a line item on their financial summary to simply state. This is the amount of sales tax attributed to DoorDash, but I guess that’s too hard for them even though that could cause problems for the customer down the road. I am very disappointed with this aspect of it because it seems like they really don’t care what you have to deal with because of their reports.
Been enjoying my system. I have a lot more Boh reporting options than I'm used to. Gives you a great idea of where your business actually is as opposed to guessing like I've had to do in the past.

We transitioned to Shift4 in the middle of a month, which was very stressful. But our rep Marcus was a tremendous help - from always responding and willing to jump on a call to constantly communicating to make sure the transition was seamless. He definitely made the transition easier!

The system also generates detailed reports that help us track our sales and identify areas for improvement. The inventory management tools are also very helpful in keeping track of our stock levels. SkyTab has been a positive addition to our business. The system is reliable, easy to use, and offers a good range of features at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend it to other small businesses. However, one minor suggestion would be to improve the mobile app's functionality. It sometimes crashes when we're trying to take orders during peak hours."
I would rate this company less than 1 star if I could. I own a small business and thought I would live this product. The software is great. The sales and support teams are the worst customer experience I have ever dealt with. I have been open a month with no training or any support except from my sales guy who made the system work last minute to get buy and is now all excuses as to why nothing is getting done. I asked to cancel service and was advised my contract runs through November 2026 and would have to pay a termination fee. Yet I don’t know how to use the system and my products are not set up properly. I would advise against doing business with this company and find a company that actually knows what they are doing besides make excuses and treat customers like crap.
Very poor system. In the mere three weeks of operation, we had NINE calls to tech for serious issues. No proper printing, constant cash drawer opening issues. The digital keypad layout is BACKWARDS!!!!!! You can't log in for current sales! This is truly a bad system! We are putting Toast back in immediately!!!?

Skytab is one of the best systems I've seen and used. I've been in thr restaurant business for over 12 years and used many systems. Skytabs robust features and operation efficiency make it one of if not the best system to date. Their support is great too. I would highly recommend Skytab to anyone running a restaurant.
