Knives were made to order which was a pretty cool experience, and the knives shipped express which was great. These knives are put together so well, the blade edges and the finishing is incredible! I added a small serrated knife to the rest of our Samuel Staniforth knives. The original knife had so much sharpening that it has now become a very efficient paring knife. The other eight knives in the set are as good as the day we bought them, ten years ago.

Absolutely the finest kitchen knives you can buy, in my experience. Easily equal to or better than German, French and Japanese knives but priced more sensibly. I cannot recommend more highly- I have bought for my own hard use and to give as presents.

I live in Sheffield and was looking for a locally made Chef's knife and bread knife for my husband for Christmas. I could not believe my luck when I found the pair of exactly what I was looking for at a bargain price on the Samuel Staniforth website after a lucky internet search. It seems like the company was left in the lurch with an order for these knives and are selling them at cost price - making them afforable for me. They were hand delivered for free to me the next morning and the cut beautifully. We could not be happier.
