There are not words enough to express the gratitude that I have for this wonderful school! I feel so privileged to have been granted the opportunity to learn from each and every teacher. The Asana classes were extremely in-depth and really helped me understand each pose in both Ashtanga and Hatha. The classes were definitely challenging, but the growth I experienced was worth every drop of sweat. The alignment and adjustment class was invaluable, giving me a detailed understanding of how to achieve each pose and help me understand how to break down a pose to make it achievable for my students. As a yoga teacher, attending this class really helped me feel more confident and prepared to help my students. The Philosophy class gave me a much better understanding of all aspects of yoga and I truly came to know and understand what the ultimate purpose of teaching yoga is. Pranayama class was definitely an experience all on its own. Not only did we learn about several pranayama techniques, but we also did them all practically with the guide of the teacher. Anatomy and physiology gave me a better grasp of the muscles and systems being activated as I moved through the asanas in Hatha and Ashtanga classes. Yoga therapy and Ayurveda class gave me a different perspective on health, diet, and healing that I truly appreciate. Meditation was a very practical approach where we experienced multiple types of meditation techniques, including active meditations. Each experience was different and gave me ways to make meditation accessible to all types of students. The 300 hour course was extremely well rounded and I feel that I am walking away with growth mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually as both a student and a teacher. The excursions were extremely fun and I felt that I bonded with the teachers and other students on these trips. From hiking to a waterfall, going white water rafting (even though it was freezing), experiencing a meditation cave and having fun out by the Ganga, and watching a beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas. Each experience was unique and amazing. The teachers really care and truly want each student to walk away as a better teacher of yoga. I feel like I have a family in Rishikesh now. The people I've met, the experiences I have had, the knowledge I have gained and the changes I have felt within me are a part of me now and I am forever grateful for this month of training. I highly recommend this yoga teacher training to any yoga teacher or student seeking growth from teachers that pour their hearts into the knowledge they are sharing. This is an experience that will last a lifetime.

I remember myself stuck while searching for a good 300hr YTT. Picking the right YTT in Rishikesh is hard. This school was recommended to me from a friend and I’m so happy I decided to join Yogkulam family. I couldn’t make a better choice! From the beginning I felt at home. We were at small groups, the teachers are young , very knowledgeable and open to share their knowledge with everyone. Can’t hide my two favorites: Mandeep our philosophy teacher. A great human, with such a deep knowledge about yoga and Indian mythology, and of course Varsha a beautiful soul, always teaching from her heart, something I love to see and Inspires me. I had been scared about meditation and stillness but she showed to us other ways to meditate and made me understand that meditation practice is not that scary as I had it in my mind and is not only about stillness. In addition, we also had great excursions every Sunday and an awesome surprise from Amit(the owner of the school) that we are going to an Indian wedding (that was so fun), and something last but very important the food was just delicious from an always smiley chef!!! Thank you so much Yogkulam family for all the knowledge you shared!!I’m very grateful to meet you all and hopefully to see you soon!!!💕

Dear everybody in Yogkulam school, thank you so much for my 200 hour TTC with you. It has been the best idea to choose your school and I am so grateful that you have teached me. I was never expecting that amount of kindness, warmth and knowledge. You have changed me in such a good way and helped me to learn more about myself, this life and yoga. All the teachers are amazing personalities with big hearts, a passion for yoga and great teaching skills. Starting the day early has been a challenge in the beginning but with time I used to like it to start my day with physical practice. Jitu has an incredibly great way to teach and a very good feeling of sequencing and pushing you to your limits without crossing them. Also he taught me a lot of pranayama techniques, good theoretical background about all the benefits and precautions, he took my fear of Shatkarma, taught me step by step the Ashtanga Vinyasa Series and furthermore out of the class I learned so many random Hindi vocabulary because of him and used to laugh a lot. One of the highlights of the day has been philosophy. Amit, sometimes you captured me in a magic way that all my thoughts made sense. It is unbelievable what big amount of knowledge is inside your head and how perfectly clear you can express that. Some of these classes really changed my way of thinking and understanding. Thank you so much for that! Anatomy with Manu was one of the funniest classes of the day. He is such a lovely human being with great humor and an outstanding way of explaining difficult processes in the body in a perfectly understandable manner. After one month of anatomy with Manu you will have a very good and holistic understanding about the structure and functions of your body and what happens inside. My second personal highlight each day was meditating with Varsha. She is the most inspiring, strong and beautiful woman. Her heart and empathy are bigger than possibly imaginable. She opens a space to be yourself and to feel safe. Some general words: The food was super delicious every single day with always healthy, nutricious and diversified meals. The accomondation was super big and clean. And the yoga hall was on the top of the building with a super beautiful view into the mountains. Again, Amit, Jitu, Manu and Varsha, I can not thank you enough. You are inspiring people and you have a place in my heart. This month with you was one of the best in my life and I really miss you. I am sure to see you again to learn even more from you next year. Sending you love from Germany, Sophie 💛

Words can not express how amazing the quality of Yogkulam is! From the very beginning I felt like I was at home. The instructors are so awesome, especially Manu and Amit. Both of them have a true passion for teaching at it really shows up when they lead class. The other instructors do a really good job as well! I learned so much in my 300 hr, and really improved my personal yoga practice. You will be pushed both mentally and physically, but it will make you super grateful in the end! The facilities are super nice! Having your own "room" even though it's shared is an added bonus. From the balconies, beware of the monkeys, to the bathroom, and the large, comfy beds everything is what you need to feel at home. The yoga halls are large and spacious with nice views of the mountains. The Sunday excursions were the best! It was so much fun going out with everyone and seeing things outside of the hustle and bustle of the small city area. Connecting closer with classmates and teachers on the excursions makes the whole experience so special. The food! The food is so, so good! The chef is an amazing cook. Every dish tastes so good, and he will cater to any allergies one may have. Overall, I loved, loved my time at Yogkulam! I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for honest, trustworthy, hardworking teachers who really know and understand the yogic lifestyle, and how to apply it. You will not be disappointed in your choice! Love and light!

I learned Ashtanga and Hatha yoga from Dhi Ji from 500 hours course. I enjoyed Ashtanga and Hatha times with Dhi ji a lot. When I started my course, I didn't have an idea what I was doing. I simply liked yoga asana but nothing more than that. Dhi ji was really helpful for me to deepen the knowledge of yoga. I loved his Ashtanga tempo. And his hatha alignment as well. I became stronger inside and outside. His focus encouraged me to concentrate what I was doing. I really appreciate our teacher Dhi ji!

I first studied TTC from Amit Ji and Dheru Ji 2 years ago in Rishikesh. They taught me that yoga isn’t all about asanas. If practiced correctly, yoga should create space within our minds and bodies. I decided to return to them because I knew I’d receive top level training. And I was right. Rishikesh Yogkulam trained me really hard to be a good teacher. They remembered where I left and gave me tailored advice to go forward. I’m studying a Masters degree while having a full time job. Practicing yoga aside was never easy. My shoulders are tight, my hips are not open, my arms are short... I have 100 reasons not to carry on. But I’m so glad I met Amit Ji. He pointed out all those “obstacles”, then he offered me an option to create the space I need. “You have better forward-bend than 2 years ago, but you can do even better.” It was the first thing he said to me after my first class this time. I also walked away from Dheru’s Ashtanga class because of my own weakness 2 years ago. Two years later today, he taught me how to enjoy tough trainings with a smile. I didn’t run away this time. I now call him, Master Dheru, a great teacher who put himself in students’ shoes and inspired me how to be a good teacher myself. Both Amit & Dheru kept presenting new perspectives to me. They challenged me a lot. But they also respect me. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me. I’m really grateful to the school because they allowed me to be me while pushing me forward. They equipped me with the tools I need to live a life I want. I’m looking forward to training with them again. Thank you! 🙏🏻

First and foremost thanks to both of you for your time energy and attention throughout my practice. It's been a great learning experience and i have made so many gains in strength, flexibility and overall focus. I would like to tell separately about both of them. The portion of the asana class of Dhirendra sir is basically perfect.I love that how he align and modify the posture and making accessible for all levels of students and It's not just about his adjustment but also his presence and voice in the class encourage to students for their practice. Amit sir has an exelant demeanor. The beginning of his class is really intresting and learning about the anatomical part of yoga is very helpful. And also about the different muscle groups and which ones are involved with different postures. Overall they both are amazing. I would highly recommend their class to anyone who is intresting to persuing this path to know that yoga is much more than just the asana....😊😊

My Yoga journey at Rishikesh yogkulam was from January to February 2019, my first 200h but not last ;) When searching for the right school for me I was looking for good and professional teachers, small groups of people, my own accommodation with bathroom, good food, and feeling like a member of a family. At some point, I was sure that it will be impossible to find a school that has all these qualities and if I don't lower my criteria I'll stay at home ;) But I was wrong, Yogkulam was the school with all these qualities, Amit and Dhirendra, except being a wonderful person, high-quality teachers, they have a natural capacity of explaining the things with examples to understand in a better and simple way especially in anatomy and philosophy. The yoga practice from both of them gives me the opportunity to go much further in my own practice and that was an important point for me. The rest of their crew is equally professional in their domain as Amit and Dhirendra are. If you have any kind of problem or difficulties they will help you in everything with a smile, he will be responsible for the union of the group after dinner with fire and nice music, Sunday activities and you will have a feeling that you have a brother beside. Sashi is responsible for the kitchen and I'm still dreaming about his wonderful dishes. You can really feel the love he put inside the food and if you have some food problems he will consider it, make some exchanges for you so you can enjoy the food with the rest of the group. These people are part of my tribe now and I'm so grateful to have found them and really hope to meet them again, on my next teacher training. Love you all!!!

Ashtanga with Dhirendra ji is always a pleasure and challenge, in the “surpass yourself and grow” type of way! With steady energy and lots of positiveness, always happy to assist, Dhi ji is a good teacher and also an amazing asana practitioner. Very thankful for being his student🙏🏻🕉

A month in my life where i witnessed a change in myself. Yoga through Rishikesh Yogkulam was one experience i feel i will always cherish and build upon. i completed my 200 Hrs TTC here thanks to the continuous support from the teachers and the staff at Yogkulam, who were always more than helpful towards making our stay and course wonderful. The first few days feel out of the ordinary as one still has to adjust to this simple way of living. The asana practice in the first week built the foundation for strength for the upcoming weeks. Personally, in my group - everyone applauded their efforts , towards their food preparation, cleanliness, knowledge of teachers and guidance towards each meticulous detail. Even after completion of the course, the teachers have been very kind to help with queries at all times of day . It would never be enough to thank the complete team towards making the experience successful. I hope to visit back to complete the 500 Hrs TTC soon. Highly recommended for everyone.

When it comes to Rishikesh, we all know we are in the world capital of yoga, which is surrounded by 100's of institutes from Laxman jhula to Rishikesh city. People from different parts of globe come and practice here aiming to change their life. Some come for months and some live forever . We all want to practice our asanas and pranayamas under the proper guidance ,under the rules of yoga. If it is so then I think I am in right path. I have chosen a right guru under whose guidance has changed my life. Dhirendra Singh and Amit Payal sir they both are an amazing teachers I have ever met in my life. they both are so experienced and the advantage of that is they provide the students perfect adjustment to get any advance postures. Dhirendra sir always says that " one adjustment can not work for everyone" and that's so true, as we know every one has different - different kinds of body someone has lack of flexibility and someone has lack of strength but he assist the students very well to get improvement with their weakness. doesn't matter how beginner you are he just keep trying those adjustment unless until you won't be able to get the posture. Dhirendra sir always comes to the class with his super positive energy and he speared that energy in the class very well. he is a great teacher and as well as he is a nice human soul. he always keep smile on his face whether he is in the class or out of the class. his voice is amazing and whenever he gives any instructions to go into the posture so you'll feel that you are trying to go more deep by yourself because of his presence of voice he always encourage the students to go deep into the postures and feel the postures. as we all know that anyone can not get the final posture straightaway, several time we fall down and then try again to get any posture and i have seen many practitioners who has injured themselves just because of they don't know how to fall down in postures so before teach how to get the postures Dhirendra sir always teaches that how to fall down safely and...

Rishikesh Yogkulam served to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Originally, while searching for schools in India, I felt overwhelmed with the amount of schools in the city that all had the same outline. I chose Yogkulam after hearing horror stories about fake schools and scams and found Yogkulam through Instagram, Facebook and the official website with all of the information I needed to confirm its authenticity. They included in their fees airport pickup (which is amazing when entering a foreign country) a single or shared room with a comfortable full size bed, and private bathroom (all of which is pretty unique for a school in Rishikesh). Having a place for yourself to relax and recuperate I found is essential to your well-being, as getting sick or feeling absolutely exhausted is a common problem. The food actually served to be quite amazing. Of course, it could get a little tiring after eating it for several weeks, but it was comparably as great as anything you would eat outside of the school. As for the teachers, I can not begin to explain my love for them individually and as a whole. What makes this program so great is how you become part of their family so quickly. This is a relatively new school, but although they may be young, they are well trained, dedicated, and enthusiastic people. Their goal is to make sure that you grow as a person - mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Many other schools seem like factories just pulling out certificates and upping their reviews. Yogkulam was there to individualize the experience to make it fit your needs. The class sizes are small, and there are 2 studios which splits up the classes to be even smaller, which means you get personal, one on one, attention. Not many schools can ever give you this type of structure. These teachers are attentive and passionate, which makes getting to know them an even greater reward. Every single class was full of laughter, random silly questions, cultural immersion, and strength building. Amit and Dee, the leaders and creators of this facility, are renowned for their work, and created the program to make sure you are learning all aspects of yoga correctly and fluidly. Amit is so knowledgable, and he's willing to help with any question, concern, problem or difficulty your facing. He looks at the body as a structure, and taught alignment and adjustment in such a professional perspective that I now see flaws in myself and in others methodically. Dee, on the other hand, pushed me to limits that I was not willing to push myself to. I swear, he was trying to kill me at first, but he proved to me that I was capable of much more, and for the first time, I was able to achieve poses I never thought I could (and also chaturanga with my new muscles :P) Manu, a great friend and even greater educator, made anatomy and physiology so engaging and was an amazing example of how every teacher should structure a classroom environment. Every teacher in this school showed an immense amount of passion and care for what they taught and your relationship with them. Between the laughter, tears, body aches, and adventures, my course flew by me with unforgettable memories. I'm ever so thankful for this program, and I hope to share my yoga practice and make Yogkulam proud. LOVE YOU GUYS
