I did my 300hr YTT from the Rishikesh Yogakulam and I can confidently say that it was one of the best investments I have ever made for myself. Not only did I learn a plethora of yoga poses and the various modifications and strengthening exercises that are required to master them, but we were also being very well guided by knowledgeable, responsive and patient teachers at the school . Apart from the Asana classes, I particularly enjoyed the philosophy and anatomy classes, both of which were taught exceptionally well. The food served was also very home-like and appetizing. The only thing that can be worked upon is the pranayama teaching methodology which we brought up to the coordinator and it certainly became better. I am sure they will continue to work on this as they truly care about the takeaways their students have from the course. All in all, it was a wonderful journey of learning and I would highly recommend it.
I had an incredible experience during my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yogkulam in Rishikesh. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality . The teachers at Yogkulam are exceptional. They not only possess deep knowledge of yoga but also have a unique ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. Their dedication to our growth as future yoga instructors was truly inspiring. I also want to express my gratitude to the cooks at Yogkulam. The food provided was not only nourishing but also delicious, offering a variety of flavors that made each meal a delightful experience. Overall, my time at Yogkulam in Rishikesh was transformative. I feel well-prepared to embark on my journey as a yoga teacher, thanks to the exceptional education and nurturing environment provided by this institute. I highly recommend Yogkulam to anyone seeking a profound yoga teacher training experience in Rishikesh.
The 200 YTT online course was fantastic! It exceeded my all expectations. The learning materials were structured very well, exceptionally thorough, and very diverse in format, books, manuals, videos, and plenty of other resources. The learning platform was very user-friendly and always accessible. Really great! The teachers were extremely dedicated and knowledgeable and I could feel that they did that from their heart and they live that ancient wisdom which is rare to find nowadays. It was a true self-discovery journey where I learned to become calmer and more patient with myself and others, alongside developing my physical flexibility, strength, and endurance. Yoga is a lifestyle toward inner freedom and peace, so I highly recommend this course to everyone who wants to change and grow. With love and gratitude, Morana
I did the 200YTTC with Rishikesh Yogkulam, it was a very good experience. Place was separate from the noisy city (we stayed at Yin Yang Yoga academy), accommodations were cleaned every 3 days and we had hot water for shower. Food was tasty and all staff was very nice and kind. Teachers are very knowledgeable, I enjoyed every class. Schedule was busy but well planned and we really enjoyed the weekly excursions. Of course there are minor details that can be improved like better balanced meals and frequent cleaning of the yoga mats but logistics wise everything was pretty well. In terms of the content of courses I only missed 2 things: practical application of anatomy and physiology knowledge in the practice of yoga (we mainly focused on pure anatomy), a deeper teaching on teaching methodology and a better explanation on the connection between all aspects of yoga and daily life. I don’t feel any 200YTT actually prepares you to be a teacher, I think it’s more focused on having a strong foundation of your personal practice but if you’re taking a course, I 100% recommend taking it with Rishikesh Yogkulam.
My time at Rishikesh Yogkulam was truly exceptional and left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and embraced by the serene atmosphere of Rishikesh and the warm hospitality of the staff. The teachers at Yogkulam were not just knowledgeable but also incredibly dedicated. They imparted their wisdom with passion and patience, making the learning experience both enlightening and enjoyable. Whether it was yoga asanas, meditation techniques, or the philosophy behind it all, I felt like I was in the hands of true experts who genuinely cared about my progress. The food at the school was a delightful surprise. It was not only delicious but also wholesome and nourishing. Each meal was a culinary journey through the flavors of India, and it was clear that the chefs put great care into creating balanced and nutritious meals for the students. It was a perfect complement to the physical and mental rejuvenation happening through our daily practices. In terms of personal growth, I can confidently say that I learned so much during my time at Rishikesh Yogkulam. The teachings went beyond the physical practice of yoga and meditation; they extended into a deeper understanding of life, mindfulness, and the connection between body and soul. The lessons I learned here will continue to resonate with me long after I've left. I left Rishikesh Yogkulam with a sense of gratitude and fulfillment, knowing that I had not only gained valuable knowledge and skills but also embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone seeking to deepen their yoga practice, expand their horizons, and find inner peace. Without any doubt I would do it all over again.
This school is amazing. I just spent one month there for the 200HR training, the experience was incredible. Rishikesh is full of schools but I am glad I found this one. First, the teachers are really knowledgeable, you can be sure you will learn a lot. All of them are very good teachers, and this makes, I think, the difference with other schools. It is usually a different teacher for each lecture and this gives a very good rythm for the day with many different and interesting interactions. Second, the whole team cares a lot about the students, and not only as yoga students but also on a day to day life. They were always so helpful and kind, trying to find solutions if there were problems, or being there for sick people. Third, they keep the groups below 15 persons, which is a perfect number to really share this experience with others, in a private environnement and have a personal and adapted training. No drop in classes are possible for outside people, which really differentiates them from other schools, making the teaching even more valuable. The food was very good, fresh and changing everyday. You can try most of the Indian specialties by staying there, and the chef even adapted its menus to what we would prefer which was very appreciated. I stayed in a new building, in a very green area, calm and peaceful, with a garden, mango trees, on the other side of the bridge facing Tapovan, but still with a lot of cafés and shops. And, super nice excursions are provided on sundays !

I am absolutely delighted to express my profound gratitude for the transformative experience I had during my Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) at Rishikesh Yogkulam. It is undeniably an exceptional institution for learning yoga, with experienced teachers who create an enriching environment. The wealth of knowledge I acquired during my stay surpassed my expectations, and I cherished the incredible moments shared with the dedicated teachers and staff. The overall experience was nothing short of extraordinary, making Rishikesh Yogkulam the ultimate recommendation for anyone eager to enhance their skills and delve deeper into the world of yoga. Hari Om! 🙏
The teachers are absolutely fantastic! They've got an amazing team well versed in Hatha, Ashtanga, Alignment & Adjustment, Philosophy, Pranayama, and Meditation. Each class I had the teachers' passions shone through. They effortlessly catered to everyone's level, making the sessions super accessible and rewarding. The staff at Yogkulam deserves a big shoutout too. They were always there to lend a hand or share a smile. The communication was on point, both before, during, and after the course, making sure we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. I stayed in a private room, and after some intense yoga sessions, coming back to a cozy space was just so nice. The facilities were neat and tidy, and there is room cleaning too every few days. The teachings are very authentic as well. It's like diving headfirst into the heart of yoga's rich tradition. The wisdom and knowledge they shared with us felt like magic, taking our practice to a whole new level. You can feel the genuine love they have for yoga, and it's contagious. Now, before you get all starry-eyed, as much as I love Yogkulam, there was this teensy-weensy thing - construction noise from nearby. But, it’s not the school's fault and beyond their control and they were very understanding and apologetic about it the whole time we were there. It is definitely still worth attending but this might be a bit bothersome if you're super sensitive to noise. Bring some earplugs if you can, I use the brand “Loop Earplugs” and it seriously helped. To sum it all up, Yogkulam is so nice! Seriously, I can't recommend it enough for an unforgettable yoga experience in Rishikesh. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and brimming with knowledge.
Pros 1. Great teachers (Hatha, Ashtanga, Alignment & adjustment, Philosophy, Meditation). I'm personally deeply inspired by the philosophy class : ) It helps me understand the original concept of yoga (union with the universe/ oneness) and the role of yoga asanas (body movements) being just 1 limb of the 8 limbs of the "yoga" practice to bring one's soul 'back home' to liberation/ultimate peace/nirvana ^^. 2. Staff super helpful and considerate. Communications before, during and after course was excellent. We felt well taken care of. 3. The teaching is authentic, in-depth, well structured and detailed. I truly appreciate especially the Ashtanga teacher (Pankaj) and Philosophy teacher (Sadhu)'s wonderful teaching/ knowledge sharing! Perhaps cons for some 1. One of the campuses (first one) is situated in the center of Tapovan, near many construction sites. It is therefore noisy sometimes at night (the construction goes on whole night!) This isn't the fault of the school, but it's an important piece of information students should consider.
Why this school from all other options? Experienced teachers, easygoing discipline, friendly atmosphere with stuff, our feedback in half what we want to change, extremely caring people. You just say something and next hour you have it. And I also appreciate lessons of Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy to be a part of the program. There were mistakes. A loudly noise from building, some organization problems, sometimes too hard routine. But we are people, everyone has mistakes. Personally, I loved all routine - 2,5 hour of challenging asana practise, 4 hours of exciting information, 2 hours of pranayama and meditation. But between about 5 hours to talk about everything with your classmates and teachers. I was afraid about my stamina, my strenght, my figure (I am not a skinny girl). Also about people - won't they be too esoteric? Will we be thinking the same way? Because a month is a long time in a bad society... Nothing from this was true. About half of group were normal people (about body) - normal shapes, medium strenght. Yes, there were also gymnastics, but rarely. And yoga asanas are nice in adjustment to your own level. So don't be worry about the physical part. Classmates...honestly nice people. Not everyone has a completely same vibe, but I can say you will find at least 3 people like you. And you can always speak with everyone, because it is a very opened community, noone is an outsider. During the month there wasn't any fight. I found true friends there. The group was from all over the world. One Indian guy, Americans, Australians, Europians, Asians...😇 Super chance to learn English. I was very glad that we had also ayurveda and philosophy lessons. Without these two it wouldn't make the full sense. If you think you will have so much time for reflection and thinking, then I must dissapoint you. The routine is made for no thinking. Just turn off and notice every moment. You will see how relaxing is to flow. And look forward to sunday trips! They are always different, but we had trips to a hinduistic temple on a hill, waterfall (with swimming) and also a cooking class of Indian dishes. I just want to say, that I wouldn't ever change my desicion to go to Yogkulam. But it is only a mindset. You don't have to like it or you can arrive with no expectations of reviews and just enjoy it. So don't read more and just go somewhere. Thank you for the month with you. Definitely lifechanging.
I did my 100 hours YTT and had a wonderful experience. Very knowledgeable teachers and great hospitality. As a beginner in yoga had good enough learning from this training about Hatha and Ashtanga/ Vinyasa Asanas, body structure and how asanas work on your physical fitness, pranayamas for learning controlling of your breath with various form of breathing activities, yoga philosophy. Overall I had good leaning from this course and looking forward to complete my 200 hours from YOGKULAM next year. Hari Om!!!
Review Yogkulam I had a great experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam school, and I'm so glad I decided to do my 200h Yoga Teacher Training there. When i decided to come here, i wasnt sure how intense the course would be or if I would even be able to keep up with the pace. But once i started, I felt I was in really good hands and my mind slowly opened up to new possibilties. It was amazing to experience how much I was able to improve in just a few weeks. The teachers really help to push and believe in yourself and they try to treat everyone individually according to their abilities. They are very knowledgeable and its nice to see that they really love what they do. Furthermore they find a good balace between seriousness and fun during the classes. I really loved that in the freetime - especially in the evenings, some of the teachers would usually be around to answer questions or just share some laughs and play games with us. That and my colleagues made me feel like I was part of a Yogi family! Every sunday is a day off, where in the mornings the school will organise an exkursion e.g swimming at a waterfall or seeing the sunrise at a temple. Besides the classes and teachers of course, food is also important—I loved all of the food I got here! It was very delicious, versatile, and everyone working in the kitchen is great. If you have any allergies or diet requirements, let them know beforehand so they can arrange it accordingly I want to thank everyone at Yogkulam for this great experience ❤️
After doing lots of research I decided to study online for my 300hr with Yogkulam Rishikesh. There is always a worry online courses don’t provide sufficient material for study. However, this course was one of the most structured well designed courses I’ve even attended in person and online. The online daily classes were clear and well paced and the study structure was something else. It is self paced but with support offered all the time. If you are about to embark on a Yoga Journey I highly recommend this 5* course I will certainly continue my studies with this school it really is ‘Best Yoga School in India’ Thank you to all teachers for your patience and help.
I recently completed my 200hour YTTC at Rishikesh yogkulam and I just want to say that everything is perfect about there school - Teachers, staff, meals, excursion and I loved every bit of my course. I am totally happy with there facilities, knowledge of teachers is highly commendable and also made amazing friends during my course.
Transformative yoga experience! Staff is really nice and they are always ready to help you. Teacher are crazy experienced in their own field of expertise. Food was delicious. Hari Om.
Wonderful experience. I’ve personally enjoyed so much what my body, mind and soul have learned and been through this month. Teachers and gurus are helpful and really good on his own matter. I would personally change some things in terms of organization and not allowing phones or noise in the shala… Food was great, staff of the place really nice. Rooms are nice and comfortable. We asked for a table and we got it next day, for us, the occidental people 😅 Location was good with some coffee points nearby. I met some really friendly and lovely people there, a whole experience I’m sure I’ll never forget. I was doing the course for myself not for being a teacher and it made me want to complete the 500hours someday. Specially Philosophy and asanas class were too interesting and meaningful for me. I hope anyone else going there would find what they’re searching for. Namaste 🙏🏼
Highly recommended I just completed a 15hr continuing education course about alignment and adjustments of postures that was very helpful in each way. Thank you for the knowledge you have shared. More than grateful 😊 Namaste 🙏🏻
I completed my 200 hours at rishikesh yogkulam and had the most amazing experience. The instructors were incredibly patient but consistently pushed us and challenged us. I noticed a massive improvement in my personal practice within the first few days. Every part of this course was carefully thought out from the classes to the weekend excursions and the tasty food! By the end of the 3 weeks we all really became a big yoga family. I can’t wait to come back to this wonderful school for my 300 hours.
I did my 500hr TTC at Rishikesh Yogkulam and I’m extremely happy I did. There are so many different yoga places to choose from it’s hard to know where is the best. After two months I’m confident I found one of the best. Above all what made Yogkulam special was the staff and instructor. From the crew making the delicious food every day, to the amazingly knowledgeable and patient instructors, you really did feel like part of an extended family. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Classes were organized and comprehensive. Weekend excursions were really fun. The food was plentiful and tasty. And the other classmates became good friends as we bonded over our shared experience. The course itself was challenging, but in a good way, and after completing it I definitely know I learned a lot about Yoga, and not just the asanas but the overall philosophy and application of all the limbs. After leaving and taking a few drop in classes at other spots in Rishikesh I realized even more just how good our instructors were. Overall a wonderful experience. Honestly I would have stayed there and done the course again just because I loved the day to day experience, people, accommodations and food that much. I did extended my stay in India an extra month and even though I had finished my course the staff still was kind enough to assist me with my travel plans to make sure I got to where I needed to be. So much love for the Yogkulam family. See you soooon!
