A mere 30 minute ride from Glasgow, owned by a family, this team of specialists and experts are turning malt into the beautiful golden spirit we all love. The tour itself, emceed by Katie, is a fantastic experience. She takes you through the complete process, starting with the barley, the milling and malting, the grist and the grits (you gotta visit to know the difference ;) ) , the fermentation, distillation, the maturation (all those casks and the scented air), the different casks, finished with a tasting experience that has no words. I found the whole tour very intimate, organic, not a product by itself, but the actual opposite. It makes you fall in love with the distillery, the people and the process. The people are very kind, and Katie is a gem. Jackton should be glad they have Katie helming this end for them. The whisky itself is less canon, surprising, and deliciously so. Do check out their Amontillado cask and PX cask offerings. Fantastic. Pity I cannot order it in Ireland. Leaving the distillery, I felt I was leaving a close knit family geared towards a common goal - To make a great whisky. I feel very grateful to have been a member of that family, albeit for 60-75 minutes. All the best to the Raer whisky team!

What a great experience..... Katie, thank you for your great tour. Informative, passionate, and got us all involved whilst showing us around the full process of production at Raer. The tasting was great in the new Bar and shop area. We met more of the team, Claragh and Colin and were giving some exceptional cocktails to try. I've been lucky enough to visit the distillery in its formation stages however the official distillery tour was fantastic, rounded off by a few choice cocktails in the bar. My guest loved the event which was expertly organised by the family and the team at Jackton Distillery. If you are thinking of popping along to book a tour then do not hesitate. It's a must! Oh, the drinks are amazing. Wonderful products. I particularly like the vodka which is smooooth.

I was luck to be at Jackton Distillery for a tour today. Can I just recommend this this is a great way to learn about Whisky, Gin and Vodka. The samples of their Raert whiskies was very good. The whole experience gets a 10/10. Well done all at Jackton Distillery. 👍
