It is very good to have this local facility. An hour is allotted for each service which means you don't feel pressured. The staff are very efficient and helpful. Lovely countryside surroundings and modern building. The grounds are in process of being finished and hopefully the signs. When you arrive at the end of the long driveway and search for the name of the facility, the first thing you see is 'No dogs allowed'! They managed to find the music I wanted, though the entrance music was a little too loud and end music played on a loop which I did not expect as I wanted it to end gently. Very caring and kind when I collected ashes and offered me a hot drink. I would certainly recommend.
We found the staff very helpful and sympathetic during the planning stage of my father's funeral. Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was beyond explanation. Whilst it is not always fair to single out one member of a good team, Sally was particularly supportive to all our needs and requests. On the day of my father's funeral, the event was perfectly controlled with dignity and compassion which was maintained throughout. I had cause to visit the crematorium the following day and the same standard of excellent service and conversation was maintained throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to all.
North Herts Memorial Park is the ideal place for a burial near Hitchin and Letchworth. I am really happy that my husband is at peace under the sky larks, swallows and swifts in a natural burial site, in the very first plot. It is set in beautiful countryside with fabulous views and the staff were the perfect combination of professionalism, consideration and kindness.
