Medic Mentor (part of Mentorverse LTD) is a social enterprise made up of a UK-wide network of doctors, medical students, secondary students, parents and teachers. We reinvest into a variety of effective educational, pastoral and extra-curricular activities that support the doctors of tomorrow. I loved the energy of the medic mentors and the passion and determination they have for this programme which inspires all of the mentees to be more optimistic. The only thing that I would critique is the length of time. I think that it would be easier to have the conference over multiple sessions making it easier for the students and the parents to attend.

While there was some advertising for subscribing to medicmentor, the conference was incredibly detailed and provided valuable insight into the pathway to entering medical school and the preparation necessary

The information was extremely useful and helpful however it was quite tiring sitting there for such a long period of time with so few breaks
The speakers were giving a very detailed explanation of all their points, answering multiple questions even during our and their breaks, and they even stayed longer after school to answer all the questions left. Very helpful and friendly.

The mentors were excellent and could deliver the entire conference extremely well without making it seem scary :)
I found the conference extremely beneficial, they covered exactly what I wanted to know about UCAT, drafting a personal statement and how to be successful in the interview. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who want Medicine as their career.
