After several years working in administration, I wanted to look at part time courses that would be relevant and practical. Lewis College offered a course which was right for me and the flexibility of distance learning meant I could fit studying around my full time job and busy lifestyle. Over the past two years I have been studying the Executive PA Diploma which I completed at the end of October 2016. My tutors have been a brilliant support throughout the two years. The whole process has been a great experience of how distance learning is a great way to learn new skills and gain qualifications. All communication was by email but it was clear that each of the tutors were always available to answer any queries and guide me through each unit and what I needed to do in order to complete each task. The study material was delivered in a practical way and each unit led on to the next in the course programme. I have gained knowledge, greater technical ability and developed my creativity, design, reporting and research skills in a business context. I have really enjoyed the course and would definitely recommend Lewis College and even though it felt like a mountain to climb, the tutors were behind you at each step to encourage you. So if you're thinking about enrolling for any course, ask yourself... "Is it going to be easy? Nope. Is it going to be worth it? Absolutely!"

It's been a long journey, longer than I have expected it to be because of my family and personal situation. I was expecting to finish within 18 months, but finally I did it in 30 months. And this shows how adaptable the courses can be. Committing for such a long time can seem difficult, but it is doable as far as you have the right organisation. Penny and Simon have been very helpful and understanding all the way through the courses, while still being honest and teaching me the things I needed to know. Personally I would like to see a little bit more interactions with my teachers, a Skype call once a month, not only to put a face on their names, but also to exchange on the courses. I would have also liked a team project with other students, after all being a PA is a lot about communication, management skills and achieving things in a demanding environment. One thing I wished I would have known right from the beginning was the planning of the courses: I did in the end ask for an agenda in order to see the amount of work coming ahead. Having an agenda that involves the amount of time and the pace that is ideally needed for each topic would be a great asset to organise your work. Overall it was a very nice course, I have learned a lot about myself and about what I can achieve. I am ready now to meet my new Boss!!!

I would highly recommend the Lewis Secretarial College everyone... it doesn't matter how old you are either! The help and support from staff is second to none. They are always friendly and keen to help you out.... no matter how stupid the question may be or if you think you just can't get something they help you step by step. Doing a course with them has given me the confidence to move ahead to a new career, into a new challenge and leave the old one behind without any doubts. Again highly recommend and I will be taking another course with them in the near future :)

This Executive Level 2 Secretary course is superb and ideal for slightly experienced people to complete beginners. It's thoroughness combined with the quick response time of the tutors makes it a pleasure to learn and an experience to finish. Thank you!

I was very nervous about doing a correspondence course as I hadn't done any studying for almost 30 years. However I asked lots and lots of questions beforehand and they were happy to answer all of them. My personal tutor Sally was absolutely lovely and she was great in giving me feedback and both Sally and Penny were great when I was wavering a bit about whether I could actually continue with the course. I am pleased to say I just received my result - A Distinction and know now that it was all worthwhile.

I am very happy with my Executive Personal Assistant Course. Studies are flexible so I can study in my own time. I have learnt a lot already, even if my course is not finished yet. Very friendly staff and excellent tutors - always for you whenever you need them. Will recommend it to everyone who wants to learn and improve the office skills.

I have found Lewis College to be an excellent college to train with. I am nearing the end of a distance learning course and can honestly say that it has been a pleasure. I have received comprehensive training which was delivered in a friendly professional manner and timely support throughout, with a range of different tutors. My needs were always met and the communication and encouragement is outstanding. I would use their services again and recommend to others. A great learning experience.

This is the second time that I have studied with Lewis College and would always choose them above other providers because of their excellent course material and supportive Tutors. They fully prepared me for my examinations and I successfully gained my Medical Secretary Diploma with flying colours. Being able to access support and fit in study whilst working full-time and running a busy house was invaluable. Course work was always marked and returned promptly allowing me to move on to the next syllabus without any delay. I fully recommend study with Lewis.

I have been studying with Lewis College for 18 months now, I am on my 2nd secretarial course and am being challenged in many different ways. The tutors are extremely helpful and push you to always do better, yet praise highly when you achieve that high standard you are aiming for. The standard of work is very high, and can be hard at times but the tutors are only but an email away and they will explain in as many details as you need for you to understand. So I'm 6 months in to my 2nd course, and I have been offered a job as an administrator in central London, my personality was obviously key in the interview but my qualifications impressed. I would 100% recommend Lewis college, they also offer a monthly plan for course payment which for me (mother to 2) was ideal. You will study with Friendly tutors, a non pushy approach and understanding through out the course. 5******
