My experience can be fairly easily divided into my opinions on the college itself and the tutors, and my opinions on the course (Executive Assistant Diploma). The college and the tutors are lovely - really helpful, knowledgeable and responsive and always do their very best to help with any issues or questions you might have. Jen in particular is great - I could not have asked for more from her. The course (in my opinion) has its ups and downs. Certain aspects are great; I definitely learned a lot in the software focused modules and the psychological aspect of some of the reading material was really interesting. On the other hand, some of the modules seem quite outdated and I did question the fact that some of the exemplars had dates from around 15 years ago on them, which made me think that some of the topics/techniques might be a bit outdated too. However, my main issue was around what students were asked to do for the management aspect of the course. At various times these involved asking senior colleagues to engage with fictional scenarios and requested the sharing of internal policies (which I was not allowed to do). Although Jen was really helpful in this respect as well and we came up with suitable and COVID sensitive workarounds, I feel that this might be an issue for a lot of people in a PA/EA position in completing the course. To summarise - I cannot fault the dedication, helpfulness and positivity of the staff, but I would suggest that the course would benefit from a review; updating the content and reconsidering what students can reasonably be expected to do in the workplace.

PA Diploma - 5 stars - A wonderful experience. The tutors were great and super helpful throughout the course. The content was organised and easy to follow. Overall, if you want to be a PA, defiantly give this course a go.

Thank you Lewis College!! The tutors are amazing and friendly, and reply to questions really quickly, they are always there to help. Studying the course with Lewis College allowed me to continue to study in my own time working around a full time job, which became more demanding during the pandemic. I cant thank my tutors enough for the help they have given me in this difficult year. The way the online training is set up you always know where you are in your studies, so it's always clear what you have left to do. This course really helped improve my confidence in my work and in my self. The great feed back that I Received from the tutors and the assessors at the end of every unit was really useful. If you are looking to study online around a full time job, part time job or family - Give Lewis College a go, I would recommend it.

I recently completed my medical secretary course. I was a bit afraid at first to give my trust (and money) to an online course, but I have to say I very happy. The teachers are very reactive and will answers your questions quickly. The units are well explained and the exercises prepare you well for the assessments. So I would say you can go for it and you should end up with a diploma

I had looked for some time for a PA course only finding online ones. I chose Lewis college because of the reviews and where it was based. The fees were reasonable and the ability to do it in my own time was great. Since enrolling I have had all manner of health problems which has caused delay upon delay in me completing my course however the team were great. Lewis college were understanding and supportive. I am already a secretary so some things I already knew but I learnt so so much. I can’t thank the team enough. I can honestly say I would recommend them 100%.

Highly recommended!! As someone hoping to return to work after having a family, I was slightly unsure what to expect and how I would cope with a return to studying partiularly as I was unfamiliar with Outlook. However, this has turned out to be the perfect course and proves the point that you are never too old to learn! It enables you to study at your own pace, at times that suit you and with invaluable support and reassurance provided by the tutors whenever needed. The course itself is detailed, thorough and extremely well-structured, guiding you through unfamiliar information step-by-step whilst allowing you to work at a faster pace on more familiar content. The assignments are both relevant and interesting and there is a real sense of progress and achievement as you move through the course. I feel confident that I now have the skills to embark on a new career as a medical secretary, so thank you Lewis College!

The skills I learnt on this course have been invaluable. As someone who has only studied creative subjects at school and higher education, this course has helped me to go from very little knowledge with Office to being fully competent and confident. Tutors are incredibly supportive and quick to respond to any queries and questions you might have My only criticism would be that a few of the units felt a little repetitive at times in terms of completing the same 3/4 exercises as assignments and then doing the exact same thing again for the assessments. (The Analysing & Composing Business Documents unit springs to mind as an example of this). Overall this course have been incredible and has helped me not only change my career, but also fast-tracked a promotion for me. I also completed this course whilst working full time! Thank you to Penny, Rebecca and Simon for all of their help and support during my time with the college.

I have just completed the Medical Secretary Diploma. I currently work full time but this course gave me the flexibility to study at anytime without being pressured. The exercises we’re very easy to follow with a high level of information and depth. The staff are extremely supportive and approachable and are always happy to help. I especially enjoyed the medical personal development module, it allowed me to explore ways to manage situations within the workplace and I now use some of the tips I have learnt everyday at work. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to increase their knowledge and understanding of becoming a medical PA/ secretary. Thank you Lewis college!

Really enjoyed this course, I felt the modules covered a varied amount of topics, which will help me in my career as a PA. It was really helpful to brush up on my IT skills and I particularly enjoyed the personal skills section of the course and learning about the psychology of working with people and their different styles of working. The team have been fully supportive throughout this course and I would definitely recommend Lewis College to anyone.
