Gibbs moved us from Hampton to Helpston. Arrived bang on time and got straight to work. Plenty of vans and hands made light work of loading. Even quicker on the unload. Put everything exactly where we asked. No damage to either house or our possessions! Great bunch of lads. Would recommend!
The team arrived as planned early in the morning. I left them at it for 40 minutes and by the time I came back they had almost loaded the Luton van with all my contents. Once we went to the new house they were just as efficient as unloading, all completed within half a day. The team were very friendly, fast workers and very professional. Excellent service by everyone at Gibbs, no problem with using them in the future for further house moving
Super people. Amongst my furniture was a baby grand piano which was moved without trouble. The service was very friendly, helpful and the staff very hard working. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Excellent Service for moving our new office. The team were super friendly and super helpful, we couldn't have asked for much more! The price was very reasonable and the communication was fantastic. I would highly recommend Gibbs for any removal work!
Shelley was very nice, no doubt about it. We had the moved day on the 1st week of July. It was a pretty good day. The team came on time as agreed. As the day goes, obviously they're getting tired. They were offered drinks all through out the day and food was provided for lunch. > There were few issues like ceiling light was broken from the corridor whilst taking the leather sofa out of the property. > We had paid them over a thousand pounds for the services they provided but had to pay them extra £ because there were a few stuff that wasn't able to fit in their van and we can't afford to leave these stuff hence we offered them another amount just to go back and pick up the remaining stuff. > The bunk bed was not properly put together. I had to pay someone else again to come and fix it properly as the stairs was not fix at the bottom therefore the whole bottom bunk needs to be turn around. > I've also paid extra for the floor protector because Shelley said it can cover the whole floor area and yet I had to remind them about it because I've noticed that they've already started bringing stuff inside the new house but I can't see any floor protector being laid down and the carpet were just had shampooed and serviced the day before we moved. I had to booked another carpet cleaning few days after we moved. Moving house is really expensive and can be really stressful to many, and having to experienced a few like what we had and to shoulder a few more expenses ££ because of the inefficiency of the removal team is just disappointing. I just hope Shelley and her team should take these reviews seriously.
Thanks to all the team at Gibbs Removals who all worked hard to ensure our move went as smooth as possible. There was a lot to do but they got it done without fuss and absorbed a lot of stress on the day. Moving is never fun and there always challenges to overcome but their can do attitude worked and we were very happybwith the service provided so woukd highly recommend to anyone. Best wishes Amft Family.
Great price, great movers, great service. Couldn't ask for more.
After being let down by 2 other removals companies we were recommended Gibbs who made the whole process of moving with a week old baby so much easier and we could not have done it without them! The 2 lads that turned up on the day worked so hard and had some difficult pieces to move, they’re a credit to the company! Would definitely recommend :)
Credit where it’s due, my partner and I went with a different company as they was nearly £400 cheaper. Shelley did say cheapest is not always the way in house removals. On the day of our move the removals company we booked did not turn up, we waited till 10am. We felt terrible ringing Shelley’s but we was in such a bad situation and we really did want to go with her first but we thought we was saving a few £££ that could of Cost us £££££s. Robbie and his team come to save the day after they had already done a job, and they was fantastic very nice tucks and looked the part too. They provided us with storage as they couldn’t get to us till 2pm where they was busy with other jobs. I would never make this mistake again, I will use these guys and will be recommending then to all. Thank you both once again amazing family business who really do try there best to help others.
Moved house recently from Hampton Vale to Stilton. Gibbs did the packing and removals for us. I was delusional about the volume of stuff in the loft and garage so we had to have an extra van on the day but Robbie dealt with that with no issue. The whole team were very friendly, quick and efficient. I have no idea how they pack so much into their vehicles!!
The Gibbs removal team were excellent, efficient and polite. They made a stressful time much less stressful. Thanks so much for doing such a fantastic job. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to anyone who needs help to move home. K & S Burrows
Ah, the 29th April, the first anniversary of our traumatic house move by Gibbs, from Peterborough to Minehead. We're still trying to get over the experience! A nice enough group of lads but complete amateurs - out for a 'jolly' on a trip to the West Country and a visit to the pub afterwards. There's not enough room here to list all the things that went wrong. If you're thinking of moving, don't choose Gibbs - unless there is no one else - and even then think twice! Oh, and their insurance policy isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Jane
Gibbs Removals came round promptly and gave us their quote when they said they would. Our move date was changed several times. Gibbs remained flexible and tried their best to accommodate our ever-changing dates without ever making it sound like a problem. They didn't ask for a deposit to secure the date, eventually fitting in our confirmed date at short notice. The removal team were extremely professional and friendly; we went for the additional packing service due to the short notice of our move date not giving us the time to pack ourselves. I would definitely recommend the full packing service, the team had it done within a fraction of the time it would have taken us, even enabling us both to carry on working on the day of packing whilst the team packed for us. Everything was done carefully, nothing was broken, everything was dismantled and reassembled professionally. If I move again I will definitely use Gibbs again and would definitely recommend them to others.
We paid in May 2021 for a removals which was the going rate at the time even for big, professional companies. Despite feeding the entire crew for the 2-day move and treating them with respect we were devastated to find that our furnitire and possessions had been treated with utter disrespect. Damage to precious items and furniture ran into the thousands and it was not all covered by Gibbs insurance despite their admission of liability and claiming that they had sacked staff after the incident. There was no packaging at all. Large items were simply dumped into a box with delicate items none of which had been wrapped. Expensive items of clothing have gone missing and antiques have been smashed. Our shed had been crammed with our posessions which has just been thrown in causing even more damage. Promises to cover the shortfall in insurance payment were not kept and Gibbs Removals did not reply to our questions. We are still considering contacting a solicitor about this dreadful experience. My advice would be to go to a larger, more reliable company. You don't save any money with Gibbs but it will cost you an awful lot more, not to mention the loss of treasured items, in the , long run.
Gibbs Removals were professional from start to finish and we would highly recommend them. Nothing was too much for them - really lovely guys. We needed two of their removal vans for our house move from Buckinghamshire to Werrington.
Highly recommended. Gibbs provided an excellent service.
Great company to choose from the original phonecall to the actual moving day. The team of lads doing the move on the day were polite, helpful and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you so much Gibbs Removals. I would definitely choose you again.
Extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism shown by the two chaps who moved my house. They were nice enough but didn’t seem at all bothered about being there or trying their best. Everything seemed like extra hassle especially putting furniture back together. They didn’t assemble my bed correctly. They left screws out and support bars hanging off underneath. My son's bed had the mattress thrown on top with a good handful of nuts left underneath. There were multiple marks left on the walls in the hallways leading up the stairs. I understand that access can be quite tight but my partner and his friend managed to get some large items of furniture up the stairs and they’re not “professionals”. As for floor protection that we spoke about on the phone and my partner spoke to them in person (not sure it was Shelley or someone else): My partner politely asked one of the guys to remove his shoes as the carpets are brand new, he shrugged his shoulders, checked his shoes and continued on up the stairs without a care in the world, plus he said: "Oh you have snag report anyway"(We have just moved to a new built so obviously we had a few days to report things that needed fixing, and they were counting on the snag report to fix the s*** that they did!) Brilliant!! They couldn’t have given less of a care in the world about carpet protection! In fact the only protection was two towels over the bannisters and they were MY towels! Quite unbelievable! I think that being charged £500 for that was pretty bad for the level of service we received. I’d expect more for that sort of price. We did complain to the company and all they did was giving us a refund of £100 for all the hassle caused. A company that insures £25K. Yes, of course.... The guys didn't even have a uniform as they say on their website, no tools (they used ours) let alone blankets...🙄
What a brilliant team! Shelley is such a warm and friendly lady and certainly helped take the stress out of my move with her reassuring way. Robbie and Ricky were fantastic. They worked quickly and efficiently, taking great care with packing up my belongings. So friendly, which was nice too. I can highly recommend the full packing service. Well worth paying that little bit extra for. Lovely guys, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you all team Gibbs for making my move such a pleasure.
Lovely polite efficient young men. Would certainly recommend them. Thankyou so much for a brilliant service.
