Had a really bad experience. Try this before you waste money on them. It is possible for foreigners to get married in Denmark. In order to marry in Denmark several conditions have to be met […] You will normally have to stay in the municipality for about 2 weeks before the marriage. In order to get married you need to appear at a Citizen Service Center. Here you will be asked to fill in a marriage form and present it along with the following documents: • ⁠Valid passports • ⁠Residence permits if you live abroad Schengen visa if required, or proof of entry and arrival to Denmark or the Schengen area • ⁠Certificate of marital status: from the place you were born as well as from your present place of residence (if different). […] The certificate must be no older than 4 months and must be translated if not issued in Danish, English or German. The certificate must include the following: Name, date of birth, place of birth, current address, citizenship and marital status. • ⁠Guardian's consent to the marriage if one of the parties is under guardianship If one or both of the parties involved have previously been married, you must also present the following documents: • ⁠Divorce decree (complete original divorce decree, legally signed. […] • ⁠Death certificate of previous spouse: Death certificates must be approved before you will be able to get an appointment. Please note: • ⁠Persons under the age of 18 may not contract marriage without permission from the Marriage Office. • ⁠Persons who are applying for asylum cannot get married in Denmark. There is a fee for marriage if both parts have permanent address outside Denmark. […] • ⁠Non-residents pay a fee of 500 Danish Kroner (DKK) to get married in Denmark. Scam. Absolute scam. My fiancee is pregnant. We wanted to get married in Denmark because these guys stated that they were the easiest way to do that. We spent the 750 bucks on their website. Before you choose to go with these clowns, realize that everything they are doing, can be done for MUCH cheaper and easier directly with the town hall. They offer a 10% discount on photographers and what not, but the amount you are spending on these clowns is just not worth it. They seem nice. They use stock sentences like "Congrats on your bundle of joy" or "Congrats on your engagement" but like most businesses.. there is no joy behind those statements. They are in it for the money. We contacted them in January. They couldn't accept my iphone photos of documents. I literally had to use a 7000 dollar camera to get the quality of photos they wanted. Bear in mind.. if you have ANY issues with them.. their refund policy is 500 bucks if you don't file, and 0 if you do file.. so if you stop at ANY stage for ANY reason.. you're out the 750. So, if you can't get a quality photo that they want (They want to be able to zoom in to an almost microscopic level.. my iphone 14 pro max wasn't good enough) you're out at least 250. They will NOT answer the phone. Their numbers are +45 30 14 99 94 and the one google has. Good luck. They take days to answer e-mails. After 4 months of back and forth, they finally file. The day after they file, my fiancee's doctor tells us that my fiancee can't travel because of the pregnancy. GMID does not care. They tell us that we will have to repay 220 bucks in order to file again, since the 4 month time period isn't applicable to us (again.. because of the pregnancy). Basically, give us more money and we will make your special day special. Please just call the town hall directly and save yourself the hassle. I wish I had. These guys are trash. We asked them for a partial of the money back since there's so much they haven't done yet.. but they absolutely do not care. Seriously.. Denmark is an amazing country, and the AFL is really friendly.. just call them directly. Watch youtube videos and people will tell you how easy it is. Wish we had done that. Here is what you need to get married in Denmark. - EU ID (If you're European.. we both are) - Proof you are living together - Divorce Decree if you're divorced. - A Relationship Document (it's a document they help you to prepare) In the relationship document.. these jokers literally ask you for photos and text messages to prove that you're in a relationship. That means they want your private and intimate moments for every month y'all have been together to prove that you're in a real relationship. I called the AFL in Copenhagen and apparently, the Danish government doesn't really need all of that.. it's just something these clowns to do to get y'all in the feels. They literally wouldn't proceed with the application without these. Horrible. Rasmus says I was rude. Yeah. Probably. Please, please, please do the work yourself. These scam artists don’t need anymore money from young couples. Incidentally.. I stated I was going to write an honest review of what i experienced. The only thing i was going to change was dependent on if y’all have me a partial refund or not. Specifically, if y’all had, I’d have written that you did. You did not, as I told your two “visibly shaken” associates, that was fine. I would be notating that. As a scam, I’m sure you’re used to people being upset.

GMID helped us to have our application smoothly approved and booked our marriage ceremony in Copenhagen's city hall easily. They are very strict on the quality of scanned documents but after all, it's going to be ok.

Bad costumer service, they treated me with no respect

GMID really live up to their reviews. In terms of customer service, I really don’t think I’ve dealt with any other business that comes close to how good these guys are. The entire team are so approachable, quick to reply, ready to answer any questions you have (and we had a LOT of questions!). From start to finish these guys were fantastic! They ensured we had the best possible experience and it really was the most amazing, unforgettable day! We couldn’t have done it without you GMID, thank you for everything!

Cannot recommend the GMID team enough! Whilst I am a UK resident and my partner is a US citizen, we had considerable hurdles to get married during this pandemic year. With neither of us being based in Denmark, getting married at such a destination abroad appeared daunting initially. However, the GMID team were simply outstanding. In short, GMiD is legit & amazing - what are you waiting for? My wife and I come from two different non-EU countries (one of which is required of the Schengen visa just to travel to Europe), and decided to get married in Denmark to avoid the excessive, lengthy, and expensive bureaucracy in our respective countries. The GMiD team helped us closely throughout the whole process, making everything seem so easy. It was evident that their experiential and legal knowledge was top notch in preventing any potential administrative delays. Thank you GMiD!!
