Bought 2 pocket doors as a non tradesperson. My builder said buy these doors from this company and gave me the code - I went online and purchased 2 of the pocket doors. I didn't have the need to read through ALL the details on their website as I bought what I was asked to buy and the initial information sounds perfect in the info it says quiet operation. The sales went through fine and the doors were delivered no problem. The doors are installed now - fantastic quality. Unfortunately when they are being closed they slam closed making a thud noise which we can hear upstairs. This has prompted me to ask them if there is a soft closing mechanism that could be added. I also had another look online to see if I could find something and have seen there is a code for a soft close mechanism on the bottom of the info but when you search for it it appears like it could be for a glass door so I gave them a call just after 9am. I spoke with a man who said the mechanism would work on the doors I have. I also asked if it could be fitted retrospectively and he said there could be damage to plasterwork which would need to be repaired.... I accepted this as it is not their fault I didn't know about the doors needing a soft close mechanism. Personally I think it should be standard but that's my opinion. I thought I would give the man my perspective as an online non experienced shopper on a relatively new product and suggested that if I had known about the soft touch option at the point of sale I would have added them on without question. He took personal offence to my suggestion going on at me about the information being present on the website I said it wasn't obvious to me and I suggested a pop up box on the website which pops up when you add the door to the basket let you know about the additional products relevant to the item you purchased as all the major website have especially the DIY websites. Well this did not go down well, he started on at me about additional work and the cost of adding it to the website ...really...and how they sell hundreds of these products - clearly one shopper's experience does not matter to them. The funny thing is we get so many emails requesting a review or survey of our experience and product info extra. Here I was genuinely carmly trying to help this business with its online shopping experience in a private phone call and I got shouted at to the point I had to put the phone down.... This has soured my overall experience with this company which is a shame as the product is excellent
