Having previously had mixed experiences with various recruitment agencies, working with Adam from Data Idols was a definitive highlight of my job search. Data Idols approach of honesty and transparency, backed by their expertise of the market and strong technical knowledge has put me at ease at every step of my journey that was bound to land me a dream job. At the end, I have not only "dealt" with just another recruitment agency, but ran into real data enthusiasts and made genuine friends. I have had the pleasure of being placed by Data Idols for a contract that, to date, has been the most enjoyable contract in the 5 years of contracting. Working with Dave at Data Idols was a very pleasant experience and I felt supported but not stifled by his/ their input. During the recruitment process, I was represented professionally, which was instrumental in securing an interview. After the successful interview, all required paperwork for the on-boarding process was received swiftly and processed securely. Whilst working for the client, I was supported with a few one to ones with Dave , just to make sure everything was going as expected. This was great as it gave me an opportunity to give and receive feedback. All invoices were processed swiftly and I received helpful notifications of payments etc. At the end of my contract, Dave was very helpful in assisting with the termination process, ensuring all parties were well informed and happy with how to proceed. I had a very good experience with Data Idols. I got a contact from David and I applied with his help for a data science role. He was very dedicated, professional, enthusiastic and always contacted me everyday (even when he didn’t have any feedback from the company for which I had applied). The lack of feedback and leave people in the dark, for me, is one the worst experiences that one can have during a recruitment process. I didn’t have any problem like that with David and Data Idols, and I must say that I really enjoyed the process. At the end I didn’t move on with the role but I had a very good experience. Even when on holidays David sent me a message saying that he was on holidays and his colleague was following up with my process (and I also got a contact from his colleague during that time). Like I said, very dedicated and professional.

Data Idols couldn't have provided a better experience for me in helping my search for a job. Unlike many other recruiters who bombard you with irrelevant or not suitable roles, it was clear that the data idols team had spent the time to look through my LinkedIn profile and CV and only provide me with jobs that suited my interests and experience level. Throughout the recruitment processes, they kept in regular contact, provided clear information on what could be expected at each interview stage and made sure I received clear feedback when I wasn't successful with a role. Whilst Charlotte was responsible for helping me find a job, another of her colleagues stepped in whilst she was away for 1 week and it was clear that they care about the people they are trying to help find jobs. They finally also help run a community of data scientists/engineers/analysts and have regular talks called Data Science Festival. With regular talks this was also a great place to network with people from potential employers to hear about their roles. Would definitely recommend getting in touch with them if you're looking for a job in this area!

I felt David was very knowledgable about the data industry, having worked in it himself, and I was able to have a very candid discussion regarding my skill set and aspirations. He did not try to simply push the latest job advertised but advised what employers are looking for and what kind of position I could take at this stage which would give me the skills and experience to progress my career. My contact with Data Idols was very professional throughout and David checked in frequently to provide encouragement and support in my application. Unfortunately I was not offered the job that I applied for however if an alternative position became available I would not hesitate to work with Data Idols again.

I had a great experience working through Data Idols for a leading e-commerce client in 2018. I found David to be available and very approachable, meaning any questions that I had were quickly answered. David gave me a good honest insight into the client before I started and the Data Idols met all of my expectations from an admin/invoicing perspective. I'd happily work with them again.

David over at Data Idols saved me from a dire contract in Amsterdam and landed me a gig at Trainline. Despite being an ocean away he sorted the interview process incredibly quickly, allowing me to fly back and meet the team within a week. Throughout my year-long contract we met frequently face to face for catchups, averting any crises & sorting out the occasional contract extension. When you find a recruiter you can trust, you hold on to them for dear life. Sadly the contract ended, but if there's ever a chance to work with him and the rest of the team again I'd jump on it.
