I would like to thank Mr. James McRady for his help and assistance in preparing me to retake the HIC examination. As a background, I had previously taken this test several times but had come up short. So I continued to study and prepare myself to take it again. But this time I thought to incorporate the help of Jim to assist me with some practical strategies for the test. He and I communicated and I sent him my previous results scores and items missed for those test. He was able to zero in on what I needed to concentrate on as I retake the test. I listened, and attended the webinar that was offered. I rethought my approach and techniques for taking the exam, and this time I PASSED. I really believe it was of the continued efforts of Jim to help me, along with me applying the strategies I learned that helped me to make it this time. Kudos to him for his dedication and commitment to be of genuine help to people like myself who can benefit from his experience and patience. Thanks again man.

Money well spent!! I took this test prior to trying this program and bombed it miserably. This program gave me what I needed to pass this test.

I bought the books tabbed and highlighted and studied them for about 3 months. I went and took the test and passed it the first attempt. The test was long and a little difficult but very doable. It seemed more about how fast I could find the answers than anything else. Fortunately the books I got from you guys had tabs and highlighted to make the 4 hour time limit less intimidating. Thank you so much. Ps.... My 18 year old daughter is now studying to take her exam. Thanks again.

The courses were excellent!!! Most importantly they train you how to take the test which is what really helped me! Going through all the questions first and sorting the questions into groups (Books, Math, Drawings) definitely provided a huge time advantage!!! Not an easy course and not an easy exam by any means, but their help and instructions helped me pass the first time! The lady at the testing center said I was the first person she knew of who actually passed these tests on their first attempt!

Let me first just say that Jordan Cabell has been great to work with at the Contractors Training Center. She has single handed helped me through two commercial licenses in Georgia and Tennessee. When I have needed her to review or help with anything it is the day I ask. There have been no excuses. Not to mention they gave us money back for books we bought. I will be using them again for any future needs!

I signed up for their services several weeks ago to study for the Class A exam. Unless I'm missing something, I've simply paid to watch a recording of someone reading the IBC book to me; far from what I would call training. The only useful tool is the practice exam, but theres only one and it becomes redundant after the 2nd time through. I see a lot of positive reviews on here, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but so far I feel like it has been a waste of time and money.

Many of the highlighted portions of the book were not tested. Many of the questions on the exam itself were not highlighted in the text. The instructional videos were not helpful as it was essentially two different individuals regurgitating the highlighted material. I have taken 4 B&L exams: (Tennessee, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi) out of these, I would say Mississippi was the most difficult because the questions, many times, did not line up with the highlighted text or tabbed text. Therefore, you have to spend a majority of your time thumbing through the book. I would also say there were substantially more math questions involved on this exam than others.

I ordered all of my material online and had it shipped.The only thing negative is the shipping part.

Did not think the instructor spent very much time on what he kept saying was the most time consuming part of the test (math problems). I did not find the presentation helpful. I got the most out of the practice test. I would only recommend someone to get the prerecorded version so they have access to the test. I guess the more I think about it the lower my opinion is.

I ordered the books over two weeks ago, and paid for a two day delivery and I am still waiting for the books!!!

I ordered the BCSI manual based upon the recommendation of the local building inspector. Despite the logistical hurdles mentioned, I still received my product in less time than was forecasted. Thank you CTC !!
