I had a number of responses to my enquiry and, after being without a boiler for a week, we have selected a contractor to do the work.

I was in a hurry to get a complete strip out of 1970's back boiler and replace whole system with new radiators boiler and pipework. Boiler Guide found me instantly available plumber.

I was given 2 plumber suggestions. I was able to get through to one of them George Penman, Ultramech Energy. He is a conman. He extremely badly installed a 5 year old, broken, dropped boiler. the framework was bent. So it was unsafe as well as being 5 years old and not new. He also installed the flue into an enclosed area and he did not join up the upstairs and downstairs heating loop so the upstairs is not being heated. I complained to Boiler guide and they do not seem to have done anything.

Within an hour I had three companies lined up.

Within 1 hour I had three companies telephone me, 1 had an engineer to my property within 30 mins and a quote within 1 hour, both of the others offered similar quotations but were outside of my region. Excellent service

Brilliant service from Adam who came round within hours of my contacting AM Gas Services. Assessed what boiler I needed and answered all my questions over the next few days, including the weekend, and offered me an appointment to fit a new System Boiler the coming week. David who fitted the boiler arrived promptly and went ahead in a professional manner, flushed the system out and fitted the external flue which was in a particularly difficult position close to the roof. I have no hesitation in recommending for professionalism and excellent service.

Very good Service replied to a message with a phone call on Sunday. Not happy with the Heavy Duty sell from the 1st Contact but the 2nd a very nice local man and started the work the next day after I souced the Boiler and Parts.

I didn't where to look for a new boiler installation, I came across Boiler Guide, provided a few details, and they forwarded three different companies who would contact me, and I chose one of those to fit my new boiler. It was so good to have recommended people to contact me.

Tony turned up on time. We explained what was happening.(loud noise )He then looked at the boiler told us that it was just a clip holding the front panel and that had not been put on correctly. He gave the boiler a full check up and said we didn’t need a new boiler (happy days). Would recommend him and will definitely ring him again if needed
