Very good, but don’t allow wiggle room especially during Such a pandemic. And at some points may seem rude.

Made an enquiry for a loan but not a critical worker, however service was excellent and clear during this difficult time. Thank you and I will be applying once you can lend to everyone again.

I had a successful redress claim on 8th june. Accepted 9th june. Now 5th july no payment no date of when I can expect it. Not good enough. 9th july. No correspondence no payment. 12th july. You asked me to email. No acknowledgment to that email or response. People are relying on these refunds because you have confirmed we are due them! Astounded at this. 14th july. No payment. No date given for when payment will be sent. No response to numerous emails. 15th july. Shocking to read these reviews. I the same as another reviewer needs these funds. I was given a figure 9th june. Yet 15th july no payment. Apparently due to me changing details they add a further 3 weeks on?? 18th july. No payment. No correspondence. Despite being asked to email. I give up. 20th. 42 days since accepted offer tomorrow. I feel for everyone waiting. 23rd. Received missed call on 20th followed by email stating despite my current financial situation no payment can be rushed through. Everyone says the same apparently... I wouldn't say over 6 weeks wait is acceptable. No one seems to be receiving their refund. Will update further IF I get refund.

Finally after 21 weeks got a final response but no figures! Been told to wait 14 days for guarantor to advise if they need a refund. She phoned same day but they still say need to wait 14 days. Then another 5 working days for figures (not sure why they can’t be sent at day 15 if no refund to guarantor) and then another 15 working days for refund? Not sure if just such a heavy work load with trying to get final responses by end of June to as many as they could, but know someone who got final response 5/6 (after 18 weeks), phoned 8/6 to confirm they received email confirming acceptance and money in account 12/6! Not sure why now it’s all taking 3x that time?!

I took a £4000 loan with amigo back in 2015 . I was in a very vulnerable situation at the time and they took advantage of the situation. I had a gambling problem and if they had of looked at my bank statements at the time like any normal responsible lender should do they would have turned down my application. Amigo loans aren’t interested in the credit of the lender they only care about the strength of the guarantors financial background . They are nothing but glorified loan sharks

Good afternoon. I don’t understand what takes so long after accepting my refund amount to pay me the money? Have been trying to call to get in touch with a manager to find out why for 2 days now. Can you please explain what takes so long? Thanks.

I've been waiting just shy of 6 months for a response to my complaint. The past 3 months my emails have been IGNORED and have received no response. I am appauled at the treatment I have recieved. I have seen other complaints have been resolved in shorter time frames which is unfair considering I have been waiting this long.

Offered me a top up on the website which would of been handy as our car needs repairs. Then declined saying I was either in an IVA or Bankrupt which I'm not. Update: called after Amigos response, and nothing can be done so no changes to my review.

Really pleased with the overall experience but what I could advice , when a payment is missed please dont make us feel like were not a valid person if someone is struggling which is the reason for a loan the best thing is to comprise and maybe provide more help

Mugurel 24 June 2020, 19:44

Requested a change of plan by lowering the monthly payments as i can t afford anymore and struggling to pay them , they declined my request and said rhe guarantor has to step up and make the agreed payments

I work as an agency nurse and like many became unwell with Covid 19. I lost 3 weeks work, which meant that I couldn't make my payment. I asked to move the payment date so I wouldn't default. Amigo Loans have been incredibly helpful. They have moved my date and advised that it wouldn't affect my credit file. It is such a relief for me and I highly recommend them. Very helpful. Thank you.

I was a guarantor and this is my experience with Amigo. They are hideously irresponsible lenders who care not a jot if they grind you into the dirt and leave you broken and penniless. The borrower was not a friend but my manager at work. I was on a zero hours contract and relied on her goodwill for enough shifts to keep food on the table. I was not in position to say no to her and suffer the consequences- Amigo was well aware of our respective positions and work and the power imbalance that this entailed but they still lent with me as guarantor, even though I was on a lower and more variable income than the borrower! When she defaulted I was immediately threatened with court during this already stressful covid time (I was furloughed and had just found out I was pregnant). I had to declare myself insolvent. The borrower defaulting has trashed my credit score. I was then sent a letter from Amigo stating that they were waiting on me to fail with my trust deed and then would carry on chasing me for money I dont have. I have had panic attacks and my anxiety has returned. I beg anyone considering becoming a borrow or a guarantor, please please please find another way, these loan sharks will eat you alive. Update: they still haven't responded to my complaint submitted directly to them months ago and the pathetic placating reply below this review shows that they do not care - if they had read it fully, they would have seen that I have already had to declare myself insolvent so such tools as 'breathing space' or contact with their team would be utterly pointless.

I put in a complaint back in February still waiting to here, about being removed as guarantor on a loan as l was mislead and if they check bank and pay slips they would see l couldn't afford to step in a pay and l am self employed and covid 19 has made an impact. Have spoke with solicitor and been advised can be reomoved as the checks where just a online form and they didn't obtain a signature
