As this was my first GPS I did not want to go and buy the latest product but needed something that I felt I could use with out to much trouble. This reconditioned Drive 51 was ideal especially for pinging up posted speed notice's. Having driven for 60 years it only takes a moment to be distracted and the extra warnings are welcome. So easy to setup, use and the price suited.

They had the item I needed (still begrudge having to buy a special traffic receiver cable for a sat nav that advertises it has traffic updates) Great communication and item received safe and sound

As a first time buyer from ActiveGPS, I was quite surprised the level of timely customer support and follow-up that has been delivered. They shared frequent update about my order and shipment status and made a good job on packaging since this is something very important to me as an international buyer. All went well and I received the order in 7 days via Royal Mail International service. I can definitely recommend ActiveGPS and it will be one of my favorite for future orders.

I Recently needed some urgent advice regarding a Transducer which was a complicated fitting needed to suit my Barge, and to be compatible with my Garmin Chartplotter. James gave me lots of advice on the phone, and via email, after corisponding with Garmin directly. I received the transducer quickly as needed, and all is set up and working great now, with trouble free fitting. It's great to know that I have been given expert advice. Thanks again. Purchased device and was delivered in 2 days. Had connection problem with the charger but this problem was very quickly resolved by ActiveGPS and the problem was me not understanding the correct location for the charger connection. The response to my query was instant and they even called my home number to resolve this. Very good service to fix MY understanding of the problem. Excellent service.

Really nicely designed shed at a good price. The only things I'd suggest for improvements are 1) the descriptions of the optional extras on the website - it's quite confusing to understand some of these (esp the door lock options) 2) the paint is very thin - it's probably fine for protection, but we ended up buying extra paint from a DIY store to get the look we wanted

I give a 5* rating to ActiveGPS. They deliver what they promise. Read their fair T&Cs to understand their negatives reviews. I wanted a current map of Florida for a sat-nav that displays lane options … very useful for some of the US road junction tangles … but didn’t want to risk a download from Garmin to a sat-nav at risk of going wrong. The micro SD card from Active GPS allows a transfer between sat-navs to any replacement sat-nav. Garmin downloads seem locked to be original sat-nav only. Heaven help you if it fails. I also wanted hand holding before committing to ensure a functioning purchase. ActiveGPS did it all. They answered my detailed questions promptly & precisely, sent a sealed original 2018 edition pack immediately and told me how to be sure the US map was loaded when the GPS would not pick it up in the UK. I now have my first Florida stop loaded into history. Tracking of delivery by Royal Mail didn’t work until after signed at delivery, so couldn’t tell when it was in the local delivery office. But that’s not ActiveGPs’s fault. Overall a fair price for a 5* service. The 2012 map on Amazon might be cheaper but ending up in Tallahassee instead of Miami doesn’t appeal. The only improvement would have been to have the option of the 49 State US map on SD card for half the price, rather than the inclusive of Canada version. But hey, Canada’s worth exploring another year. And to repeat the point, SD cards, not downloads, are the way to go. TomOrrow

The web site is clear, and prices compare well with competitors, so I placed an order. After I had paid, the confirmation email quoted consumer rights laws stating they will not accept return items that have been opened, or kept for more than 14 days. I have poor health and take time to do things, but couldn't face the cancellation and refund process, so I didn't cancel. 16 days later I wanted to return an unopened item, but they flatly refused - I'm sure they know the consumer rights law, but as to customer service . . . I won't be going back to them.

My questions were promptly and courteously answered and my package arrived quickly. And, very importantly, the cost of the SD card, including overseas postage, was significantly less than in the states!
