Leaks!! Beware!! Bought in March 2020. Unable to continue use as bath continuously leaking underneath through different tubes. 1. Pneumatic tube came loose in August 2020 2. The line drain came off flooding through ceiling 3. Other pipes leaking now. Money down the drain!!!
Purchased a bath from the Whirlpool Bath Shop in March 2021. Delivery stated to be due in 10-21 days. On 15 April 2021 I received a call stating that it would be delivered on 19 April 2021 however, the next day, I received a call stating that it would not be delivered on the Monday after all as the bath originally meant to be sent to us had been damaged in transit. Therefore, I was informed that a replacement would be sent the day after. On 19 April I received a text stating it would be delivered the next day and, on 20 April, it was delivered to our property. Once delivered we checked it with the delivery driver present and could find no obvious faults with the bath. The plumber we contracted to fit the bath also checked it and he too could find no obvious faults. Therefore, on 17 May 2021, the plumber fitted the bath and the work was all completed (electrics for the pump etc) by 19 May 2021. The delay in fitting the bath was down to the plumber not being available for a few weeks because the bath had been delivered later than the 10-21 days stated on your website. Since 19 May 2021 we had been using the bath (approx. once per week) and the product had been working satisfactorily which made finding the crack disappointing. On 9 August 2021 my partner explained to ‘Dan’ that a hairline crack (approx. 3cm) has appeared beneath one of the jets on the side wall of the bath (which is located at ground floor level of our bungalow). Dan asked her to provide a photo therefore I sent one on the 10 August 2021. As a result of the fault a leak occurred and we had to lift up the lino from the bathroom. Since we contacted the Whirpool Bath Shop on 9 August 2021 there has been a lot of back and forth via phone calls and e-mails with me chasing for the bath to be fixed. A part of the fix did occur on 27 October 2021 and I was awaited an engineer from the Whirlpool Bath Shop to come to finish the repair. When I chased them up again a few weeks ago I received an e-mail asking me to ‘Please contact Begbies Traynor on 02380 335888.’ I did so and was informed by Liam there that Whirlpool Bath Shop is going through a liquidation process. The delay in the repair now becomes a bit clearer as I'm sure they were aware that they were in trouble. I have submitted a Section 75 claim via my Credit Card company and hope that'll bear fruit. In the meantime I've had to pay someone myself to repair the bath. I see that the business T/A Watermark Spas Ltd is still not marked as struck off on Companies House and that the director also has other similar businesses. This is very poor from them on so many levels.
If you check out the accounts for this company published companies house they have been insolvent for several years so if your owed or lost money might be worth a punt with one of the no win no fee debt recovery companies as to the legal position for trading whilst insolvent
Purchased a whirlpool bath on 29 Oct. Found out today that The Whirlpool Bath Shop have gone into liquidation. You will need to contact Begbies Traynor. I spoke to Liam Callagher on 02380 712762. If you paid by credit card you will be covered by them, but if you paid by debit card, then you will need to contact your own bank who will try and recover the money for you. I now have a claims reference with the Visa Dispute team but Im not holding my breath. How can someone sit behind a phone and take your order and your money, knowing full well they are about to go into liquidation. Who has got my money !!!. By the way when I phoned the administrators they told me there is nothing they can do to help...some use they are
Ordered & paid £1500+ on 1st Nov' company started insolvency proceedings on the 2nd Nov'! Insolvency agent Begbies Traynor advised no chance of a refund/items to us. This was disgraceful business practice! The number on a prior review is correct for insolvency agent. The person who signed a previous review here as - Watermark spas LTD is the owner/director. The same business address has 2 more spa businesses - Exclusive whirlpools ltd and Watermark spas ltd - active and run by same person. I advise check Companies house - All! I advise contacting bank asap as they may be able to put in a credit claim and refund you, albeit you may have to repay it to bank if their unsuccessful in their pursuit of monies. I know addresses, names, family, several addresses etc but alas it is not allowed on here. Companies house info' is viewable to the general public and free, just search company names or name. This particular insolvent company does not seem to show, but other related info' does. I hope the owners are ashamed, investigated in depth and held accountable. Good luck disgruntled customers, I hope this helps you.
Has this company gone into liquidation or administration? Website is down; emails forwarded to insolvency administrator. My new bath has quality issues for which I was promised an engineers visit, and an extended warranty. Seems neither is going to happen!
Fabulous company, great customer service. Our 24 jet Caron l shaped shower bath is fabulous. Chromertherapy lights are very relaxing. Highly recommend this company.
be warned looks like bust website down. emails now being dealt with by what looks to be an insolvency company. phoned and eventually got through to answering service firm who stated they were no longer working for them due to none payment. my bath was delayed 3 times now had to open case with paypal
My bath was due this week. Called this morning to be told I’d be contacted back the same day to let me know when it was coming. Heard nothing, so called back the same evening to be told she was working from home and doesn’t have a direct number for her manager and doesn’t know anything basically! If my bath was going to be delayed that’s not a problem but I should have been informed. I’ve heard nothing since placing my order and signing the documents over 3 weeks ago. So will try again tomorrow to see if anyone has any idea where my bath is 🤷♀️ Update: Called back this morning, same lady on the phone. She couldn’t tell me anything other than to email again or call back and I might be diverted as she couldn’t pass any messages over because they haven’t paid there bill with the company so doesn’t look like anything is coming. Called my bank to get money back. Worst service I’ve ever had!
Ordered on 11 May and website states 7 - 21 days delivery. Arrived on 22 June. Had to ring 4 times and email as had no delivery update or information at all once I had signed the order documents. Bathroom was planned for 21 June and I kept asking if there would be any delay so I could change the plumber's start date. Was told no it will arrive w/c 14th. Called the Thursday of that week (17th) as still heard nothing only to be told it didn't pass and would be the following week!! Website also states they call to arrange suitable delivery; not one call. Had a text on the evening before delivery saying it was coming the next day; no option for times or anything. Website states that the baths are packed to avoid damage. This arrived wrapped in 1 layer of plastic. The bath leaked when set up so called and was told my plumber could try to seal it, which he did thankfully as I dread to think how long it would have taken them to come out. Once the bath was finally done I used it for the first time and I can only say that the jets are useless. No power at all in them. I've had whirlpool baths for 15 years and this is the most useless one ever. The foot and back jets have nothing at all; I can't even feel them. The side jets are the only ones worth anything and they only have the power of my old bath when that was on the lowest setting. Pump is not powerful enough. I have wasted over £1200 and would never touch this company again. How they get 5 star reviews is beyond me but obvioulsy they must screen out these bad reviews first. All in all, their website could very well be classed as false advertising as nothing that is stated on there actually happens and the products fall well below the quality they are advertised as being. Edited after the reply...I do know how the jets work having owned spa baths for years and this is useless whether you think they look correct in your test video or not. Also, if the bath hadn't been in stock, why not tell me this on one of the times I chased it up? Bit late letting me know a month plus after the event and only when I posted a public review.
Bought having been promised 7-10 days delivery, paid and signed contract 2 days later. A month on I was then phoned to be told that the bath wasn't even in stock- despite multiple calls to chase with updates on build times, when it was being sent out etc. All either hugely disorganised misinformation or just lies. Either way I am yet to receive a refund of over £1000 not to mention lost outgoings for plumbers and electricians who had prepared the fit in readiness. I will be going to my credit card company to recoup.
Very bad experience with delivery. I waited for 5 weeks, took time off from work on the agreed delivery day, had a builder on site all day (also to help with the delivery, items are left outside as per delivery policies), I was advised to call at 9am on the delivery day to get a delivery timeslot and had no update about the delivery until 4pm in the afternoon which left me very concerned. One of the team members also hung up after asking for delivery evidence. Thankfully Carly has called me back around 4pm confirming delivery the following day before 10am, which has happened. She has also been very helpful throughout the 5 week wait answering questions promptly and accurately. I would give her 5 stars, not to the delivery company.
I highly recommend the whirlpool bath shop. The communication and customer service has been exceptional. Carly and Molly have been fantastic from the first time I phoned. I was unsure about buying chromotherapy lights and so the ladies organised a video of lights working to be sent to me so that we can make an informed decision. We ordered the bath early in December and requested delivery for 13th January. The delivery was spot on time, the bath securely packaged and all the required information clear and understandable. My plumber and electrician had no issues with plumbing in and wiring up the bath. Carly and Molly have answered some dumb questions from me and each time I speak with them I feel comfortable to ask questions. Thank you so much. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bath.
i was replacing an existing air type bath and wanted to keep disturbance to a minimum, tiles etc. helpful and patient when emailing for details.
My whirlpool system has not worked from the start. They sent an engineer on several occasions who replaced various parts but could still not rectify the problem. In the end they said they didn’t know why it wouldn’t work correctly and blamed the electrical supply at my property. I employed a qualified electrician to do a full check, sent them certificates of proof that everything was fine with my electrics but they still won’t do anything further. I paid £1300 for a system that has never worked and is not fit for purpose. How is this right and fair?! Their customer service is awful too, you can only get through to sales, it directs you to a website if you have a problem and they don’t answer emails for weeks. They used Covid as an excuse to not answer too. Awful experience... I’ve given up on it as it has been so stressful but it’s wrong and I hope no one else has to experience this, they shouldn’t get away with it. UPDATE..... Reply below by “ Alan” is complete rubbish. The spa was not working properly each time after the engineers visit... the engineer didn’t stay long enough each time to test it adequately. I challenge “Alan” to come and see this for himself but I’m sure he won’t! Yes they replaced parts as I have already said and as I told them... my electrician is not a whirlpool spa engineer. He merely concluded that my electric supply was faultless and there was a faulty part on the spa system but as I clearly told “Alan” this was not a diagnosis of the fault with the spa system as my electrician is not a whirlpool engineer. A faulty switch was sent and did not rectify the problem. “Alan” is welcome to have the switch back anytime but seeing as he was unwilling to investigate the problem further, why would I bother with anymore time and cost. I’m already £1300 out of pocket. Why would I complain if the spa was working properly! LIKE I SAY, HOPE THAT YOU DONT RUN INTO A PROBLEM THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX, BECAUSE THEY WASH THEIR HANDS OF IT WITHOUT A CARE. UPDATE 2 Its strange how the whirlpool bath shop has stated that they are not able to diagnose electrical faults... and yet see fit to state that there is an electrical problem at my property! They received certificates to the contrary by someone who IS able and qualified. I am not wasting my time any further as the whirlpool bath shop has already wasted 18 months of my time 'fobbing me off' The problem is they have come up against a problem they have obviously never encountered before and dont know how to fix it so have callously washed their hands of it. After their 3 attempts to fix... Cant fix it, dont know why its not working... TOUGH! ......oh, and blame the customer! Thats The whirlpool bath shops attitude.
We ordered a whirlpool bath with advertised 5-7 day delivery. This was ordered in plenty of time for our bathroom refit end of November. I called on a number of occasions to confirm there was no delay due to COVID and was reassured there would not be. When I received the contract to sign there was a date for delivery almost 3 weeks later. I pushed our refurb back to ensure we’d have the bath in time. It was due to be delivered 16th November. It was not. I rang on the 17th and was told the bath hadn’t even been made and would be scheduled the week after. I had no courtesy calls to inform me of this delay and could not push the refurb back any longer. I found customer service to be dreadful and cancelled my order for a refund. I was told to get this I would have to email with reasons why. This email was never even acknowledged and I had to send a follow up to confirm they’d received it. I then got a reply to just say they had got it and it would be refunded. No apology, no acknowledgement, nothing. Had I know this 5-7 working day delivery was false I would have never placed an order with them and would have sourced the bath from somewhere else. I did notice however that when my order was cancelled the website was updated with longer delivery times. We were left without a bath and had to quickly find one from somewhere else for our bathroom had been ripped out when I rang to find out where the bath was. Very, very disappointed and would not recommend this company.
If only I could rate this company with zero stars. I purchased a whirlpool shower bath for best part of £1500, but due to several delays and Covid it was over a year before I could get it installed. On installation we discovered the sealant around the water jets was leaking in several places. The silicone was literally hanging loose from the bath. As the bath is sold with a 10 year pipework warranty (as advertised on their website) I didn't expect any problems. Unfortunately the Whirlpool Bath Shop after initially asking my plumber to fix it changed tack and point blank refused to help. The best I received was a very rude email demanding I contact them to pay for an engineer to attend. After many emails (they never answered the phone or returned my calls) I was forced to initiate a section 75 claim against my credit card. Luckily the credit card company agreed that I hadn't received the 10 year warranty as advertised and refunded me in full. I now have a fantastic replacement from Pegasus Whirlpool Baths (pegasuswhirlpoolbaths.co.uk) who couldn't do enough to help me. Avoid the Whirlpool Bath Store at all costs UPDATE: Your response is a lie. You never once offered to refund the callout charge if the bath was found to be faulty. You refused to speak to me on the phone and NEVER returned any of my calls despite me requesting this on numerous occasions. The worst customer service I have EVER experienced.
So despite the lack of empathy for our troubles, we managed to get the bathtub fixed by an engineer and had our first bath yesterday and it was bliss! The whirlpool system is superb for aching limbs from unpacking boxes! Still waiting for the air pillows for the scratch on the bath panel! I hope our guarantee starts from the second time the engineer came by.
Following research, I decided to buy our new bath from The Whirlpool Bath Shop. We opted for a fully loaded specification including flush jets, chromatherapy lighting, ozonator, digital controls, additional jets and carronite. Quality of the bath looks superb and the team have been very helpful throughout, particularly Carly. Highly recommended.
Seriously unimpressed with this company and their lack of customer service. We purchased our spa bath earlier this year as our bathroom refit was scheduled for May. Due to Covid this had to be postponed. The bath panel that they sent us alongside the bath was damaged. It took them months to replace it. They promised to call us back on several occasions but could never actually be bothered, eventually after months we got this sorted and the panel was replaced. We had our bathroom refit last week. When our plumber installed the bath, he broke the news to us that the bath was leaking from at least 3 jets in 3 different places. This is a brand new bath, and considering the price we paid, one would not expect these problems. We contacted The Whirlpool Bath Shop who told us that we now needed to remove the faulty bath, at our expense so it could be repaired. Why on earth should we have to do this at our expense when the fault lies with their company and shoddy workmanship? How is it our fault that the new expensive bath we purchased is not fit for purpose and leaks? We were told that the engineer was on holiday but would call us on Monday 2nd November. We waited for a phone call, we never got a phone call from the engineer so later that afternoon we contacted The Whirlpool Bath Shop again. They told us they would talk to the engineer and he would be in touch ASAP. It is now Tuesday morning and we still have not been contacted. Yet again we contacted The Whirlpool Bath Shop first thing and we were told that the lady who was dealing with it would call us this morning ASAP. It is now nearly lunchtime and we still have had no phone call. It does seem that once this company has taken your money, they seem rather uninterested in putting things right and sorting out any faults or problems. They also promise to contact you and call you back but they are empty promises and they don't call back. They just seem to want to fob you off with excuses to get you off the phone to avoid dealing with the issues and complaints. Why on earth should we have to continually chase them up, they should be keeping us in the loop and updated, that is what good customer service is about. We know these are difficult times, we appreciate that, however if you promise to call somebody back on a specific day then stick to your word. This does not make the company look good at all, far from it and we are now losing patience. Unfortunately we are now going to have to take this further and take action against them if they can't step up to the mark and resolve the issues we have with our brand new bath which we have never used. I believed all of the excellent reviews on here about this company, more fool me. If you are considering purchasing from this company then please let this be a cautionary tale. Buyer beware, because if things go wrong, they aren't particularly helpful and don't seem bothered or in a rush to resolve the issues and put things right, and they want to be able to do it at YOUR expense when the liability and fault is clearly theirs and they seem to want to wriggle out of their legal obligations under consumer law. UPDATE, there are further issues with our bath, cleaning it for first time this evening with a soft cloth, and there is some blue marks in the bath, almost as if there is a scratch that wasn't really visible but it now it's as if dye from the cloth has made it somehow more visible, either that or coating is coming off the bath. Let me tell you, this bath was incredibly expensive, we also upgraded the finish to a Carronite finish which is supposed to be tough and durable? Needless to say I will now be pursuing a claim through the small claims court to get our money back. This company have not even bothered to respond personally to my written complaint that I sent earlier today. It is all well and good doing that on here to try and make themselves look good but their products and customer service is truly shocking and I just wish I had shopped elsewhere, as this bath is not fit for purpose. Thank goodness for consumer rights, I will be taking legal action to recover costs for a new bath and any costs incurred to uninstall and refit a new one. One very unhappy customer!!!!!
