I visited Guitar Galleries in Scarborough today with a view to purchasing a new Eastman archtop guitar. I enjoyed excellent service from Mike who offered appropriate advice but also allowed me unlimited time to audition a selection of instuments back nd forth until I had made my mind up after a ninety minutes. The surroundings were great and I felt under no pressure to buy. The instruments were beautifully set up I was ooffered the choice of amplifiers to play through. I ended up buying the guitar that I had identified through internet research but would have been happy with the other prime contender. Sadly I could not afford both.
Disappointed to be told of no Black Friday sale to find one advertised later in the day after a deal was done. However, I part exchanged for a mid range Taylor which was not in the sale and in which I’m happy with, but sadly had to let go of a Godin which I used only 7 times in the studio. I did ask to speak to the manager and distinctly heard him say to his assistant you take the call. Joe.
For the second time I took a guitar in to be set up and, for the second time, I am delighted with the service provided. On both occasions, as well as doing a great job on the guitars, they managed to do the work on the same day to save me leaving my guitar and having to return another day to collect it. Excellent!
