I am a Broker Associate and work heavily with buyers, I deal with title companies all the time and Laura D who works here has gone above and beyond, making the process seamless and enjoyable. However, it was at closing where Laura truly shined. Our closing was delayed because the seller was supposed to provide a credit to the buyer, but the lender did not allow the full credit, leaving my client short by nearly $1,000. When it seemed like there was no way to resolve the issue, Laura’s quick thinking saved the day. Thanks to Laura’s problem-solving skills and dedication, my first-time homebuyer had a truly outstanding experience. I should have cancelled last spring when they could not find a service tech to work on our AC unit. ( There are at least 20 companies within 20 miles of us ) More importantly our house was destroyed by Hurricane Helene and we can't get a refund for the last half year of the policy. They said they issued it to our credit card ( Which was hacked and obviously shredded last spring ).

Failed to provide service - 'Sorry! Couldn't find a contractor. - here; you do it. Report results within 24 minutes, or you forfeit your visit fee. Don't forget to renew your coverage!' (Or words to that effect. Bait and switch, failure to perform. Completely untrustworthy.

1. easy to file claim 2. Most important - Tracking information of the vendor on the day of service 3. Vendor managed issue in professional manner and was very respectful.

I was with First American Home Warranty for three years on two properties. The only time I tried to use them was when the garage door opener broke. It was clearly broken as you could see the gears were in pieces. I called and they sent a contractor out. After a day I was told the repair was NOT covered. I called and they explained the door was not covered. I told them the door was not the issue it was the opener. The contractor reported the door was too heavy and that was the problem and the door needed to be replaced. The contractor then called me and said he could fix the opener without using First American Home warranty for $500. I called and told First American all this. Told them it was clearly a scam and the door was the same door that had been there for 15 years. They said I could pay the fee again and have another contractor come out. I ended up installing an opener myself for $140 and it has worked just fine for years now. They kept my service fee and no offer to return it even when asked. Total scam. Just like I was told, the contractors will tell you everything that is not covered is what needs to be fixed. The only time First American was nice is when they were selling me on their product or keep me as a customer. When they are needed they do nothing for you. Stay away.

Our geothermal system is not working properly. We put in a claim on Dec 20. A subcontractor came out on December 24. He told us we needed a new control board in the unit. This inefficiency is putting a lot of strain on the system as well as causing our electric bill to be extremely high. We have been in touch with FAHW (almost all calls initiated by me) on a very regular basis without an ETA on the part or any plan going forward for this repair. We get promises that the part is ordered or the part will be delivered in 3-5 days when in fact the part has never ordered. How much longer are we going to have wait for resolution? It has already been way too long. We are not at all impressed with the service we are receiving from FAHW.

I'm very pleased for what Ms Mindi Brown did for me when my air pump broke down. Ms Mindi Brown is the area Manager of East Las Vegas/Henderson/Reno. When it was discovered that my combination Microwave and oven could not be repaired First American purchased and installed a new unit. This is what they advertised and this is what they do. Afew years ago this happened to an AC unit and they replaced it as well. This is not always a quick process but it works.
