Yes Chef Customer Service was great! Replied quickly and was very helpful. Glad to see there is a real human behind the first automated replies. :) Love the classes too!
Completely nonresponsive! Gave this as a gift to my husband for 2021 father's day and was surprised to get charged again in 2022. Tried many times but no email response from them. Had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card. Time wasted with their bad business practices. Be careful!
I ask for a refund and the service was excellent ,Im very happy. thanks
I have used YesChef for a couple of years now and have learned quite a bit. Recently I contacted them about a billing issue and it was resolved quickly. YesChef is not just great content but a great company to do business with. They listen to subscribers.
Same story as others where I have been tricked into their auto-renew. Impossible to get hold of them to cancel this and then lots of promises to refund the money. Raise a dispute with your card holder guys, it's the only way to get your money back.
I had an issue with my account login so I messaged the help support and they got back to me within a reasonable time, had the solution, and a backup solution just incase. Very prompt, professional and helpful. Aside from that one time issue that wasn’t even their fault, this Site has the top tier chef’s giving you the most detailed instruction for their amazing recipes. I recommend this to anyone who has a passion for food and wants to better their skill.
Just read the review from JT....I am having the same terrible experience, I invite anyone who has had a phone number for Yeschef to share. my next step is to contact my credit card company.
First time leaving a review but I felt compelled to warn others. After being bombarded with YesChef ads everywhere in 2021, I decided to give the service a try when I saw them run a substantial sale (50% off). Their social media advertised a ton of eye-catching, beautifully filmed content and though they were clear some content would be "coming soon", I decided to go for it because surely within a year the content would be available. Wrong. Even in 2021 I saw reviews of others complaining about their lack of output, but given the state of COVID I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Wrong again. We are now in 2022 and in the year since originally subscribing, they've managed to add only *2* videos of a new class that I don't remember ever seeing advertised as "coming soon". The butchery class with Dario Cecchini (which I was mostly looking forward to) has been nearly empty for over a year, with the only video being a video introducing the teacher, despite the home page advertising the class alongside what I presume to be a fake review of the class since the class has no content whatsoever to even review. However, the final straw for me was the website. It is terribly designed and full of bugs. You have to sign in using the "sign up" button for some reason and even after signing in, you are kicked back to the home page where you're told to "sign up." Clicking on the "classes" tab does nothing but send you to a sales pitch for unregistered users — even though you just signed in! To access the class content you paid for, you have to physically type in "app.yeschef.me" in the URL address bar, though you'd think you'd be redirected to it after signing in as a registered user. This is really basic stuff. The video watching experience is also weird as you can't seamlessly switch between lessons, but instead have to constantly go back and forth refreshing new pages to do the smallest things. No workbooks either, so good luck typing out every single recipe if you ever want to try them out in the future. It's clear a small and overwhelmed team is running the service, and though I'm sure they want to meet customer expectations, the cost is too much to bare for the consumer. At $180/year, you are realistically going to pay almost $400 for 2 years in order to wait for and access the content you want. At this point, I would be paying $180 just to wait. That's just not reasonable. Despite the production value of the available classes, the quality of this services pales in comparison to the books and individual classes I could buy with $400. I would advice others to either wait a year before signing up or to avoid it altogether. If you stumble upon a substantial sale like I did and have money to burn, I guess it wouldn't hurt to see how they've progressed since reading this review. But, you've been warned!
Fantastic lessons with first class chefs and great production. Customer service is actually very good (I had a number of problems and all were sorted out quickly and efficiently).
I attempted to cancel my renewal on the day that it auto-renewed. The customer support Tel line was busy for 3 days. I tried on line with no success. I finally was able to initiate a chat. It took 2 days for a response and they said I chose auto renew thus I would have to wait the entire cycle (1 year). Their customer support is terrible. Do not get suckered by the auto renew. I wasn't aware. A company with integrity would cancel and/or at least alert you to a pending auto renew.
I lost my job recently and forgot about my auto renewal from yes chef. I got charged and as soon as I saw it processing I tried to contact them to get a refund. They won’t give me a refund since it’s been more than 30 days since the original purchase. It’s unbelievable! Don’t sign up!
IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HOLD OF. The phone number listed on your facebook page is disconnected. I have tried to message through chat on your website. I have sent emails to the "support" address and messages on social media - nothing. I have a problem with my account and there is no support. I need to speak to a human being.
Joined YesChef last year and there has been no new content for months and months. I contacted them and the response was essentially 'sorry, covid has us behind on content'. I enjoyed what little was there to view, but in light of the lack of new content, I really regret this purchase.
I'd give it 5 stars for the content I've seen, as it was beautifully done. But after a year not much was added. Quite expensive for what you get. So, that takes it down a notch at least. But, what really took it way down for me was the auto billing, which I was tricked into and then they said they would not refund. And, no notification of forthcoming billing, so you'd have an opportunity to cancel if desired. Suspicious business practice.
Signed up and paid in May and I have not witnessed another course added since I joined. The social media posts are few and far between with the last on FB this summer. Wonder if funding has stopped and the company is in bad shape. Really love the content and recipes. So much, I was "hungry" for more courses that I signed up for Masterclass. Sure hope YesChef gets it together and revives their content.
The content is not bad but the waiting for new content is taking forever. Also the mini documentary for each chef seems random clips of them cooking and talking and doesnt have a story behind it. For instance watch Nancy on Netflix chef table versus yeschef. On chef table it was about the journey from the begining and how she end up in Italy. On yes chef looks like ramdom clips of her. It got potential but is not there yet.
This is the most beautiful and thoughtful way to experience great chef's making great food and a way that will help you up your cooking game and develop ideas and skills to make great meals for your family and friends.
J’ai vraiment beaucoup de plaisir à regarder tes chef et à trouver de l’inspiration et de nouvelles idées pour la table d’hôtes de mon B&B
I love yes chef. I feel like I am getting a one on one class. Great and interesting chefs. Thank you
This has been the best experience I’ve had during the pandemic! It’s a great way to “travel” and get an idea of what’s out there! I can’t wait for more classes to become available!
