A hopeless company with incompetent staff. Have had two bills with only standing charges and not the usage. I guess I will be receiving a massive bill once they get their act together hopefully this year. Called four times in the space of two weeks and always get a promise of a call back that never happens. Filled online complaints form and nothing as well. The property has a smart meter so there shouldn't be an issue however they can't even input the readings manually. I mean this is the highest point of incompetence in my opinion. I guess they have the monopoly as they are the only suppliers we can have so they don't really care. Maybe consumers like us should form a petition or something as this monopoly is just not right.

I cannot explain my experience with Withenergy, as i do not know what it is that they are billing me for. Communication is terrible, even at Director level. I have been dealing with a complaint for 5 months now and have been promised calls back numerous times, which never actually materialise. I am being billed for a service that has never been explained to me and can;t actually view any bills for the period they are claiming i need to pay for. Also, the website is actually telling me not to pay my bills. As you may appreciate, this is a mystical company that has no answer to customer complaints.

Just like what Mike wrote. "Was forced into a contract with this company upon buying a new property (was informed at a later stage that we cannot switch to a different provider). Poor experience thus far (10 months): poor communication, occasional hot water shortages, all with a sprinkle of a massive monthly service charge. Suggest a hard pass, if you have a choice." I will just add that there is no off hours service.

Poor experience thus far (10 months): poor communication, occasional hot water shortages, all with a sprinkle of a massive monthly service charge. Suggest a hard pass, if you have a choice.

2nd update Jan 2025: they now asked via trustpilot for personal details. I refused as I highly suspect this is a pure bullying exercise (that trustpilot should not allow). If withenergy wanted to resolve these issues they would have already done so via the complaint (which been raised) channels. If withenergy wants to dispute having these issues, or want to offer a way for individuals to disconnect from their services, they can respond publicly. Update: Jan 2025, after five years WithEnergy decided to dispute that this review was about them, I’d re-iterate again, it is very much about them, we still have about over 5 failures each year. And a constant ping pong game between them and the building management. All I wanted was hot water, instead I’m busy reporting failures (as they only dispatch an engineer after a threshold of calls), raising complaints with them, and required to make manual payments as they can’t even operate direct debit properly. Hot water, that’s all I wanted. And there’s no way out, not as individuals, and not as a resident majority. Original review: WithEnergy running the service for our a-bit-over one year old development. For the last year we had over 10 occurrences of failure in our district heat unit at peak hours. And although With Energy charging us monthly (A very high price to my opinion) - they only forward our complaints to the freehold installer as the system is still within their warranty. We as residents been told we cannot change the supplier, and that they're doing the best they can, and cannot give us any compensation - hence no one has the interest of actually fixing the issue.

Expensive & Worst Experience. Don't go with With Energy. Their Customer Service is rude and only answer we get is we are looking into it. Faced frequent Hot Water Issues

Unfortunately our Development is tied up with WithEnergy for water heating but every third day we have hot water issue. The standing charge is too high abd they keeping increasing it frequently. There is no hot water every third and when we complain them about this....they assure us that the engineer is on way to look into the issue. But the issue is never resolved in time..it takes hours to get the hot water back. And With Enery is also aware that we cannot change them hence they dont take our complaints seriously.

With Energy provide the district heating for the new build development in which I live. Unfortunately they provide a woeful service which means we lose hot water often. Their billing system also includes an extremely high standing charge so even with low use of the system you end up paying an arm and a leg. There is a broader issue with the lack of regulation around district heating but With Energy make it even harder to deal with by not being upfront and clear about their prices, developments, and issues with the system.
