The tyres were bought on behalf of a friend. We rang Vintage Tyres first of all to check what tyres were needed and 5 days later they have arrived. A great speedy service.

I ordered the inner tubes on Tuesday afternoon and the were delivered by Wednesday lunchtime. Well pleased with the service and the quality of the items.

FIRST CLASS SERVICE

I have updated my rating from 1 to 5 stars, based on two facts. Firstly, the additional charges related to importing into Ireland and I was unaware that this was outside the control of Vintage Tyres. Secondly, the delivery by UPS was significantly delayed and it was impossible to communicate with them. Neil, from Vintage Tyres, spent a considerable amount of his time, following up with UPS and me to ensure that I eventually received my delivery. Vintage Tyres customer care was excellent and I would strongly recommend people to do business with them. Original message: I paid Vintage Tyres for one tyre and tube, plus the UPS courier shipment. I was shocked when the UPS courier asked me to pay a further Stg 40 delivery charges before handing over the parcel. I was not informed at purchase that I would have to pay additional shipment charges. Shippers such as Amazon, Royal Mail, etc. don't do this. Ben from Vintage Tyres quickly replied that the additional charges were mainly made up of VAT (Irish). I now got the breakdown of the additional charges and I was charged Euro 4.07 which is less than 10% of the additional costs that I had to pay. The balance was brokerage charges and duty. Overseas customers should be made aware by Vintage Tyres that they will incur these charges, as I suspect that many customers experience of online UK purchasing relates to companies like Amazon where these additional charges do not occur.
