Tyres were delivered in quick time in a couple of days. Delivery was to our local ferry but that is not a problem. Several carriers are reluctant to come onto the island and deposit their parcels in the ferry passenger cabin. There was no "Highlands and Islands" surcharge. Good service as usual.

You failed completely in your committed delivery time and date this week - the delivery of two classic tyres eventually turned up 24 hours late after you changed the previous date for confident delivery. My two tyres were ordered on Friday afternoon and on Sunday at 11.50 am I received a text confirmation from Vintage Tyres that delivery would be between 9.45 and 13.45 the next morning [Monday]. On Monday at 10.32 I received a second confirming text from Vintage Tyres that delivery was going to be that morning i.e. 9.45 to 13.45 Monday. I rang Vintage Tyres on Tuesday morning to report that I had not received delivery at all on AM Monday, as they promised, nor PM Monday for that matter either. I then received a third text message from Vintage Tyres promising a delivery on Tuesday between 9.45 am and 13.45 - that is 24 hours later than their first two text delivery promises. Their delivery was finally made within the last hour of that Tuesday committed time frame. These three text delivery times from Vintage Tyres are the sole, and specific, promises on delivery that my expectations were wholly based on; there certainly was no representation of a 'delivery within 48 hours' [implied anytime within that period]. Any suggestion from Vintage Tyres that there was [only] this gloss over 48 hour period for delivery just does not represent the facts of the specific delivery promises made to me in three different texts. On Monday, I had rung my normal tyre fitting company and confirmed that I would bring my classic car plus two new tyres first thing Tuesday. Also, the specialist classic garage that had recently carried out major engine rebuild work on the car, located only half a mile from the tyre fitters, were planned to be visited for a warranty check on the rebuilt engine. These plans for AM Tuesday had to be shelved and my other planned activities PM Monday and Tuesday were also put in the bin.
