Giving feedback is not my thing but after Vin Audit saved me from buying a used car with problematic past and helped me get a real good deal, i believe it is necessary to let them know I was satisfied with their service and happy to recommend them to others!
My situation was so complicated and so emotional, I can't begin to explain it all in a review. My beloved car and I were separated for 13 years, and somehow I found Vinaudit and called them to see if their services would help somehow. The wonderful person who answered my call (no wait "on hold" either) took all the time in the world to hear me out, and even provided further service. I am going to be reunited with my car in a few weeks or less! This is a true story. I give them permission to use my name and location to prove it.
Since I had a problem with requesting the history of my shipped car [non-US resident] I wrote to the company explaining my problem. I needed my car history because the tax office in my country required it. The support team was very kind and quick. I got my vehicle history in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Amazingly fast, even though I had difficulties at first. I'd recommend the company anytime.
Have always been suspicious about cheap whatever especially used cars so when I was offered a good-looking model at a price my wife thought was just lovely, I didn't get excited too easily. Looked up the local DMV which led me to the DOJ and there I found vinaudit, purchased a report. My suspicion was proven right! Car has existing lien on it which the seller did not mention. Bought another instead for a reasonable price.
I was trying to locate a very old car for my dad and only vinaudit returned a search result. Others could not find my vin. They even insisted the vin is wrong and that I need to double check.
Do not trust VinAudit. I just bought 2 used cars this past weekend for me and my son. Due to the cost of Carfax, I used VinAudit on the first one. The VinAudit only showed 2 mileage readings for the 2005 Nissan we ended up buying, one mileage in 2010 and a current mileage of "exempt" since it is over 10 years old. The VinAudit report also showed no accidents, flood damage, etc. The next day we bought a Carfax package to check another car we were looking at. We decided to run the Nissan we bought on Carfax to compare to the VinAudit report, and we discovered the Nissan had been in an accident where it was declared a total loss, and instead of having 144,000 miles as reported by the seller and showing on the (likely replaced) dashboard, it had 270,000 miles!!! We were very falsely reassured by the VinAudit report. Carfax is expensive, but when buying something as expensive as a car, you need accurate and detailed information.
great company- honest about their services and super fast delivery
Entered my vin, paid the fee but was unable to download the report due to a "problem". Was asked to enter my email address so they could email it to me. Report never arrived. This all leads me to believe that I've been fleeced and this website is not genuine.
I just wanted to try a cheaper alternative to Carfax. I thought $10 is low cost enough but not too cheap. I didn't expect any hits though I just wanted confirmation on the car I was buying. Surprise! A salvage record in North Carolina. What are the chances, right? Seller was a friend of a friend. Turns out owner moved twice and got a clean title in the last state. I declined the offer, of course, saved me thousands! All for a few dollars I just wanted to give away. Thorough, updated, affordable. Will use it again.
Report will maybe give a clue to something maybe information on the car. But you have to look at like a clue. There is no detailed information. The dates of the information are different than the consistent dates I get with all other reports. For the price, it may clue you to something, but not much more than that.
VIN Audit was the only company that would pull up my vehicle history report. I would highly recommend!!!
The car I wanted was just fine so no hits on the report. I love the add-on resources for the vehicle (market value, ownership expenses, etc). Good price for good data.
i ran a vin on broke down 2001 tahoe with vinaudit. the report showed no lein. well guess what?? did the repairs, and went to file for lost title. there is definitely a lein. now I'm at the mercy of a used car lot in Arkansas. just go to your local DMV, because the lein check is 100% WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!100%USELESSS
It was very difficult but they were able to eventually help me out in the end.
They provide info if a unit has been impounded or wrecked and the location of the impound yard! (impounds are key in repo industry) or reported stolen! And it is great for lienchecks in California (private states)
We purchased a 2014 Dodge Charger in March 2016 for my 16 year old son from Central Autohaus of Richardson, Texas. When we stated that we would require a vehicle inspection at closing to make sure the car had not been wrecked they told us to take it to Huffines Dodge where they had an arrangement, which we did. Huffines personnel, knowing our objectives, performed the inspection, gave us a clean report, and we bought the car. After being rear-ended in December 2016 we learned from Allstate Insurance that the car had actually been involved in a major rear end collision in 2015. A simple exam under the trunk carpet showed extensive and shoddy repair work. The carfax presented to us was clean. We also ordered a VinAudit which was clean. We then took and extra step and paid for an inspection with Huffines Dodge yet we ultimately were sold a damaged vehicle. Huffines now says the inspection was mechanical only.
Total scam. They just check all the boxes "no problems found". I had trouble logging into my account after ONE search. I called, talked to a woman outsourced in the Philippines, working out of her home. I could hear a rooster crowing in the background. I asked "Is that a rooster I hear?" She readily admitted it. Worthless.
This site offers no more info than can be found for free with a Google search, what a joke! Advertisements all over the Web for vinaudit helping people locate their old cars. . . .what BS , site doesn't offer, city, address, or even the name of the current registered owner yet advertises " miss your dream car, find it here"
Great support and tracking of our issue
After using Vinaudit to check a vin of a vehicle I wanted to purchase, I have full confidence in the company. I purchased the car and then had the car serviced. I asked the mechanic to check out the car and he reported back it was in great shape. I am really satisfied.
