Went through the WHOLE process of posting pictures, advertisement, etc. to sell an 75yr old tractor. No point in this did it plainly say there was a charge. Get a phone call days later. OH, that will be $XXX in hundreds of dollars up front. That is a scam if I ever saw one. If there is a charge, it should have been on page 1.
nothing but spam calls. asked for the add to be removed and to remove my spoof number. They refuse to do it. Now my phone is just bombarded with spam. If you want to spend 500 bucks to increase your spam phone calls this is your place. Also had a customer service question while my add was active. No one returned my call until it was time to renew. Then they had all the answers for me. Scam company that does not care about clients
Decided to advertise my tractor with them after a very persuasive salesman assured me the tractor would likely sell. The advertising was expensive. I didn’t get even one enquiry. When I contacted them asking for a refund, I was met with hostility and smart remarks which left me shocked. I wouldn’t recommend this platform for selling things. I’m now £360 out of pocket and achieved nothing.
Several years ago Tractor House had a good website. Now it is unusable on an IPad. It’s pages are cluttered with ads and if you touch the wrong place you lose what you searched for. The featured listings make it hard and time consuming for the buyers to find what we are looking for in the general listings. I now use Machinery Pete, Fastline, or John Deere and Case websites. I avoid Tractor House.
Have trucks listed but don't have the truck it says they have. Lure you into their site kinda deal.
Our Crane Company located in Baltimore, Maryland “Williams Crane” bought a Used Freightliner Rollback truck from the good folks @ Longview Truck Center located in Longview Texas. Where they have been providing Quality Trucks & Trailers along with modern Day Cabs & Sleepers and also Construction equipment for almost 20 years. We bought the truck (“As Is” no warranty which is typical in the industry on used trucks) after seeing it on the website and having them send us videos (with sound) and we watched as they ran it through the necessary functions that were important to us to see it in action along with 20 or 30 Photos. We made a pretty quick deal & then flew a driver down from Maryland to pick it up and drive it back to Baltimore. We had it Maryland State inspected and it passed with flying colors. After several months we had some rather expensive mechanical issues with the Truck & even though it did not have a warranty & honestly they did not have to do anything for us….. let’s just say they stepped up to the plate and sent us a check for a portion of what we spent on the repairs “No One In the Industry Does That”. So now Longview has a customer for life!! We knew that they have a reputation for outstanding quality ( & we love Our Rollback) and honesty and integrity and we found out just how true that is! You will not find a better Truck Dealer in the USA. We got a good deal & Bobby & Deidra really stepped up for us when they did not have to and again we will buy more Trucks from Longview we plan on a long, long relationship with this Dealership. Kudos to Longview! For the way they do business!! Williams Crane Service Inc Baltimore, Maryland 21236
I have had nothing but high compliments for TractorHouse. Tyler assisted me with two different tractor postings and was very helpful. BOTH tractors sold at listing price and BOTH tractors sold within a week of posting. Highly recommend TractorHouse if your looking to buy or sell. They reach a very broad audience.
TractorHouse is a great site in my experience! It is easy to negotiate with abundant filters. I just bought a 2012 JD 83 HP tractor off of Herr and Leaman in Lancaster County, PA. I was very leery and hesitant about buying and shipping from another state, but I was very fortunate the first time around: #1. Read the reviews/check out seller's website. Some of the seller's have horrible reviews; on Google Maps, if the facility is a shed/empty lot/auction house buyer beware. #2. Herr and Leaman Farm Equipment are run by two older gentlemen, who are from the era of integrity, trust, and repeat customers. I have dealt subsequently after my tractor purchase buying flail mowers, grapples, sprayers, from other dealers, and some of these dealers are such a turn off. These two fellows are old school, and are 5 stars plus. Nice website, nice facility, they keep their equipment inside, easy to talk to etc. etc. They even had their favorite trucker call me to haul my purchase down to Florida. First impressions! #3. Hire the local farm equipment dealer's service tech to check out the equipment. Again, I lucked out with Deer Country John Deere Dealership in Manheim. Ashley with the Service Department knew exactly what I wanted, service tech Charles even called me on my cell and went through the few findings on the tractor, and with a fine tooth comb ( found a "pinhole opening in the rear window gasket with a spec of rust" - what a tech!!!) I hope all of you will have the same experience I had! I do wish that TractorHouse would ban advertisers who have horrible ratings, commit fraud, etc. When you have so many negative ratings because you won't address the issue ( bad vendors), that's not good.
We sell more new and used ag equipment via Tractor House then anything else we do. People call from all over America to talk about, learn about and buy our equipment we post on Tractor House. It works for us.
my post didn't post it just loaded for 2 days
This is a bullsjit USA company that has no foothold in Australia other than taking up space in the Google results
You ruined a good thing
I do not know if Tractorhouse owns Currency Financing, or the other way around. However it works my online application went to OneMain Financial, upon completing a Currency App. Still waiting for the funds to make it to the Implement Dealer in North Dakota. He won't ship without funds, and in this world who can blame him. So now I have all my work, and hoping that it doesn't get sold out from under me. Was told they would send an email to get them to ship the tractor, but OneMain doesn't know that tractors are sold via Bill of Sale, not a Title so once it leaves the state a legal battle awaits. Finally got transferred to Currency from OneMain. Not friendly people, even when trying to help I would repeat it back to make sure I was writing it down correctly. If you want to get farm equipment. Just pay more or settle for less at your local Vendor. Avoid using Currency for finance, and Tractorhouse- unless you are using it to see what is available in the local area.
You email sellers and know one ever gets back to you. This site stinks
Wow!! This company is horrible. The will take your money and keep taking your money and never sell nothing. They will lie to you and say other companies are scams. They operate in a very negative fashion. Stay away from this POS company. Call you credit card company and report fraud, Contact the Nebraska attorney general and the BBB. Get your money back.
Use great caution of this site. I was almost taken for $10,000 in a fraud that was listed on this site. Tractorhouse.com said they couldn't do anything with the seller. What a joke, put a site up and do nothing to protect a buyer, it makes no sense. They do nothing about who puts what up on their site. Leaving you to defend for yourself with fraud, which is widespread on their listings. Go somewhere else or buy local, protect yourself.
I had a 5075E John Deere for sale. I had 4x the calls from craigslist and market place. I paid extra to feature it, and my ad was on page 90.
I recently bought a 5400 John Deere tractor from Tractorhouse, Feb. 2019. My Sales person was DAVE BLEKE who was very helpful on all questions involving the tractor, shipping and accessories (ie front and back bale spears) and I might add very honest about it's condition. It is a good used tractor and he was very forthright about the issues that tractor did have. I needed a bale spear for front and rear and he had a rear one at his location, which he gave me a very good deal on and he also went as far as to have the front one manufactured in Elkhart, going to pick it up when it was done and hauling it to his location in his own truck to be shipped along with the tractor. He did all the foot work on that so I'd have exactly what I needed when my shipment arrived. I told him the budget I hoped to remain in and he worked at staying within that parameter even knocking the shipping down by $300.00. I would highly recommend this sales person to anyone who is in the market for any equipment and he will keep it real as they say! He's very honest and personable and gets the job done promptly.
lovely tractors
I paid a hefty $200 to advertise an older tractor and 4 Implements - 2 weeks into the ad, I Only had the tractor and frontend loader to sell. Trevor my ad rep agreed to make the changes and advertise a new lower price. He left up pictures of all the implements that should have been removed with the new lower price. We received numerous calls from people thinking they could buy the tractor and all implements for the new lower price - We didnt realize the error until our last week of ads. Contacted Trevor who admited his mistake but told me it helped me because I got more calls. He also blamed me for not calling sooner. I spoke with his manager Taren, who explained how they have so many ads, they may make mistakes - I wanted an extra week of advertising or some small compensation for their inability to get an ad right. Very disapointed in the customer service at Tractor House Plenty of other places to advertise for much less money!
