I recently underwent a hair transplant at the Private Clinic in Harley Street conducted by Dr Furqan Raja and his team. The procedure was done in two stages to the areas where my hair had thinned noticeably, the front and the crown. The frontal area was done in September of 2021 and the crown area in February of 2022. The gap between stages was to allow for the donor area to heal and to avoid over harvesting of donor follicles, which can adversely affect the result. It's important to be patient with this procedure, as Dr Raja explained at the initial consultation. In my case, with both stages nothing much happened with the transplanted hair for the first four months or so. Then, seemingly almost overnight, the new hair sprouts and the improvement is very apparent. The full effect can take up to a year to completely grow in. The procedure itself is not overly painful, but it is time consuming and both stages took a full day each (the morning to harvest the donor follicles and the afternoon to transplant them to the recipient area), so be prepared for that. Dr Raja and his staff are friendly and do their best to keep you comfortable and informed. It is now six months since stage two of my procedure and I am very pleased with the overall result. The improvement is dramatic, although also natural and age appropriate, which is what Dr Raja strives for. I'm glad I took the plunge, and I recommend the Private Clinic and Dr Raja and his team to anyone considering having a hair transplant.

I had a FUE Hair transplant of around 2000 grafts implanted into the temples and hair line, at the private clinic in July 2021. I highly recommend Michael, Kerry and the other members of his team. Michael will give you honest advise about whether you should get a transplant and what to expect as a result, unlike other places he will be realistic with you. The surgery went fine and was uneventful. After the surgery they will check in with you and will be happy to address any issues you have.

A fantastic experience right from the beginning. I was looking around local clinics for laser hair removal and came across the Private Clinic. I had an initial consultation with Emma, who was very knowledgeable about the treatment and really put my mind at rest that this was the best option for treating my unwanted hair. Emma and the rest of the Clinic team have always been very attentive, welcoming and helpful throughout my whole course of treatment and the treatment itself has gone so well! I'm very impressed with the results and still have a couple of treatments of my course left. Overall very happy with my whole experience and would highly recommend!

I cannot express my gratitude enough to the wonderful staff at this clinic. I had a very large Lipoma which was having a significant negative impact on my daily life. It was removed at this clinic under local anaesthetic in an efficient and timely manner. Very reasonably priced.

Being someone fascinated with the hair transplant procedure, I was please to find that Dr. Raja and his team were more than happy to answer my questions and talk to me about what they were doing throughout. I was made to feel comfortable and kept in the loop with each stage of the process. I was given all the information I needed about the aftercare and provided with all the necessary items to handle recovery on my own. I found the staff throughout the clinic to be friendly and helpful and the building itself feels like a hotel. Kerry-Ann was very helpful, informative and friendly, making my pre and post procedure experience as smooth as could be. The FUE results I have at 16 months are incredibly impressive and I'm pleased I chose The Private Clinic for the procedure.

The private clinic have provided an excellent service and the end product has exceeded my expectations. The clinical procedure was completed exactly how they detailed it would and excellent care and consideration was taken throughout. My only constructive criticism was the aftercare service. Whilst the procedure was within the difficulties of covid-19, there was not a mandated follow up appointment with the consultant/surgeon to check on progress. Whilst everything went to plan for me and I am sure if there were problems I would have been able to see the necessary people, I think for reassurance reasons a follow up appointment should always be undertaken. Was seen by Dr Ish at the hagley road branch. When I went to see him I had no hair, 6 months later I'm basically Ronald Reagan. The man is literally a brain surgeon so you can be sure you're in safe hands. Very clear instructions for the after care to make sure your results are effective as possible. I’ve been looking at corrective ear surgery for most of my adult life and it took me years to find a surgeon that had the confidence to try to help me. As well as protruding ears my right ear had a deformity known as Stahl’s syndrome which has basically made the cartilage almost impossible to reconstruct and shape. I reached out to Mr Lloyd in October of 2021 and explained my case to him , Mr Lloyd came across very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable and down to earth, he didn’t lie to me about expectations and was completely honest which was important to me in making such an important decision in my life. But what impressed me the most about Mr Lloyd was his compassion and understanding. He reassured me that no matter how complicated the procedure would be he would give everything to get the result I wanted. And for me that was enough, a surgeon giving their all is all I could ask for when so many others have denied me. When it came to the procedure itself - it was an amazing experience, half way through the corrective surgery Mr Lloyd and his team and I ended up listening to classic 90s music and spoke about all sorts. That’s how comfortable they made me feel. Mr Lloyd was very vocal and reassuring all the way through and he never made you feel alone. The result itself, I could not be more happier, it’s been several months now since the surgery and I feel like a new person as cliché as it sounds. I can actually go out and face people again without fear of ridicule. I can sit on the tube with my hat off for the first time in my adult life. Mr Lloyd did that for me, he gave me a chance to live a normal life and for that I will be forever grateful to him and his awesome team.
