Good strong product, however the padlock has come apart and is very tight fitting into bolted plate. I have to oil to get the lock to go through on a regular basis. Aldo the bolts supplied were not brilliant. Snapped the head off one when tightening up and cannot get it back out. Does the job though. Rob.

The Metal Hut brand was a bit of a gamble for me as I had not heard of them before and there was very little independent info on them online. Long story short, I really like this product. I've done a video review discussing the pros and cons of this including how to install it which you can find on YouTube titled 'The Metal Hut Garage Door Defender Security Lock Review'. Things that I liked: a) Design - easy to remove + install and it protects the lock itself b) Thickness of metal c) Comes with 3 bolts, the lock and 3 keys d) Easy installation e) Colour choices are nice...I chose white f) Price - it's great value for money g) Fast delivery If I could improve 3 things they would be: a) Slightly nicer looking welds (mine could have been neater) b) Better shutter lock from a brand like e.g. Abus ... i would pay more for this c) 'Sold Secure' certification...it can help with insurance I'd highly recommend this product and to make it better i would add an Abus shutter lock to it which will set you back another £45 but it will make it even better.
