Was very impressed by Harveys approach. Giving students the times tables for the SAT makes study more predictable. My son was able to increase his score from 1320 to 1540, just as promised. Yes, it takes a lot of practice, but a guaranteed path to success is all anybody can ask for and Harvey can give it to you.

This review is truly overdue. As our twin boys are wrapping up their senior final exams and AP tests, as well as making their final college acceptance decisions, I just want to take a few minutes and express our appreciation and gratitude for all of the guidance that Harvey has given us during this college application process. This whole process kicked off over two years ago with the SAT prep and the proprietary system that Harvey teaches to his students to gain as much of an advantage as possible on this most rigorous and challenging exam. Both boys scored 1500+ on their first attempt. But what we really found exceptional is Harvey’s guidance in helping the boys craft their personal branding based on discussions of their specific passions and personalities. We felt that this process was what really set them apart from many other applicants. Everything really took off from this point as all of the essays, personal statements and PIQ’s were crafted and centered around their “brand” and passions. Harvey was available and very responsive on providing ideas for the essays as well as critiquing/proofreading/editing from the initial drafts to the final product, as well as each individual application. This 2-year journey culminated with multiple acceptances to T-20 schools. It has been a great experience working with Harvey and a big part of our boys’ success is because of him and his program. Harvey You Are A True Wizard! Can't even begin to thank you. Your "times tables" for SAT system got my daughter from 1100 to 1480 -- enough for a full ride scholarship from UMaryland, with the amazing application you helped her put together. You really did make my daughter a superstar.

I joined the College Wizard program after getting a lot of FB ads. I was excited to see the guarantee of reaching 1530. I'm a parent of a student who needs to take the SAT. I wanted to check out the lessons to see for myself. I clicked through a bunch of the lessons. Here's one for pronouns: "Match pronouns back to the words they are referring to." Okay, this is obvious. That's the definition of a pronoun. That's also what the instructions require. The problem is to actually find the pronoun's antecedent (that's what that word is called). I checked the math. One tip was something like "when you see a fraction, cross-multiply." Again, okay, that's not always the case, and that's middle-school level anyway, not 1530 level. If you compare this course with the free Khan Academy, you will see it lacks quite a bit. I'm writing this review to offer my year 2023 perspective; my previous review was removed.

As soon as our daughter Kelly met Harvey in the free mini-lesson, she was excited to work with him. Harvey really is a kind and old soul. Kelly was so motivated to work hard, I think both because she wanted to get into USC so badly and because she didn’t want to let Harvey down. The fact that Harvey’s techniques work well on both the SAT and ACT was a big time saver too. Kelly went from ACT 26 and SAT 1820 to ACT 33 and SAT 2190. And acceptance to USC.

Harvey worked with my son Josh a few years ago, so of course when it was time for my daughter Elizabeth to need SAT prep, I contacted Harvey. Elizabeth is a much stronger student than Josh, and so her goals were higher. She really wanted a perfect score. Elizabeth's challenge, though, is that she is a competitive gymnast and so has a very packed schedule during the week. Harvey's Skype lessons let Elizabeth meet at times convenient for her. Different days of the week, sometimes on weekends, sometimes late a night (10:15PM.) Elizabeth loved Harvey just as much as Josh did, and really got powered up and competitive with herself as she saw that Harvey's tricks work every time and give you a clear path to a perfect score. I was surprised to see it was true, as Harvey told us at the beginning, that the last couple hundred points of getting a perfect score can be as hard to achieve as five hundred points for a student starting out lower. But Elizabeth was determined willing to keep working with Harvey as long as it took. Elizabeth did need three tries to reach her goal, but she doesn't give up and scored 2260 the first time, 2310 the second time and finally 2400. Harvey truly is a wizard!

I have dreamed of going to Brown for years and I am here right now because Harvey helped me get here. I have always hated standardized tests, but in the first lesson Harvey convinced me that SAT was actually a game I could win. He didn't let me give up even though I wound up taking the SAT four times to get my 2240. He showed me how to create my own charity which I think really helped me to stand out. And he convinced me to change my essay topic even when my guidance counselor told me it was fine. Thank you Harvey for everything!

After sending my daughter to an SAT boot camp and seeing lackluster results, we decided to find a private tutor. Harvey The College Wizard's unique approach appealed to us and we liked the convenience of the Skype lessons. But the proof is in the pudding and Chelsea's 600 point score gain after working with Harvey was more than we even hoped for.

Every so often, you meet someone who actually exceeds his hype. That's how I feel about Harvey. When I first read about him, I thought he sounded a little too good to be true. But now I realize he is a truly gifted, unbelievably committed person who devotes all his energy to helping kids get what they want in life. The way Harvey worked with my son Nick was amazing. Honestly, Nick is not the most motivated kid. But somehow Harvey got him excited about getting into a really good school. He built Nick's confidence and got him to appreciate his own intelligence. Then every night, I actually saw Nick take out his SAT books and PRACTICE! (This in itself was a miracle). Harvey has really been a mentor for Nick, much more than just a tutor. I have seen so many positive changes in Nick, his confidence, his maturity, and I owe a lot of that to the time Nick spent with Harvey. Nick got just 1500 on his first SAT, and we were hoping for maybe 1800. But with Harvey's coaching, Nick achieved a 2120. I am thrilled!
