I attended the Show in Melbourne in April 2021. As new homeowners often do, I entered every competition available, so I was hounded by many companies in the following months, particularly solar companies. At that time, it was just a possibility, but I obtained some quotes. All the companies sounded the same: hyped up, excited, impatient, and persistent! I can't recall how I came across Solar Run, but it was an entirely different experience. I had expected the cost to be higher than others, reasoning that being local, they would have to back their products up long term. I was pleasantly surprised that they were among the most affordable. What impressed me most to begin with was their patience with questions yjat others deemed irrelevant and their ability to break things down into terms I was able to understand. I usually just leave all the technical stuff I don't need to know to the professionals, but Tim and Jenny ensured that I understood the process, the way the system worked, and provided alternative systems and quotes for me to consider. As a neurodiverse single mother just trying to keep it all together, I procrastinated for quite a while. Other providers showed their impatience by threatening price rises and cuts to government rebates, I was confused as to who was from which company and eventually blocked all of their numbers. When Tim or Jenny checked in, it was to provide me with solid information about availability of the quoted equipment and alternative options, to make sure I was okay, and to ensure there were no unanswered questions – good old-fashioned customer care! There is no better way to put that! There should be a Solar Run logo next to that quote on google search! I have had some seriously appalling interactions as I've gone about adding essential features to my newly built home, too many to mention, not to mention the build itself! So, when I come across someone who is knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, and genuinely interested in meeting my individual needs as a customer, there is really no decision to make other than what exactly we are going to install and when! The installation was extraordinarily quick and did not disrupt my family or our routine at all. And then I started saving money! The follow-up has exceeded any expectation. I have spoken to Tim or Jenny on many occasions since, and here we are, four years later, and they are still there for me as a customer. I haven't had any problems at all with the system, but I have needed assistance when I switched internet providers to ensure the app works appropriately. Tim has popped around and changed settings for me while I was at work, so no disruption at all. Solar seems to still be something everyone is interested in but hesitant to commit to because they are skeptical. I have lost count of how many times I've recommended Kilmore Solar Run! Even as far as Rye, when my uncle mentioned his interest, I encouraged him to call Tim for information. I rarely recommend a business because truly caring and consistent customer service is so very rare these days. But I never hesitate to tag them on community Facebook pages or to friends and family, and I know when someone follows it up, Tim and Jenny take care of them and always thank me for the recommendation. For those who have followed through with the installation, I have always had them agree with me . I enjoy electricity bills in credit through the Summer and into Easter. Even with the 75% drop in feed-in Tariff, I'm still enjoying benefits and learning to use my system during daylight hours. When it comes time to install a battery, I will not be looking anywhere else. Solar Run will be my go-to.
Was chased proactive by Greenvale Solar Run with a view to installing a 6.6kw solar system & battery, ready to commit once quote provided. Booked for 11am this morning 24/11/2023. 11.30am no show, so I texted him, response was "still in Sunbury due to a problem at site. Then he called and tried to rebook, im located at Hughesdale vic; 45 to 60mins away. NO I SAID Wasted my time and stuffed my day up, now full of excuses and promises. I'm fed up with these modern small businesses WASTING MY TIME AND ZERO PROFESSIONALISM yes full of appologies. The customer is why you are in business, they pay you, if you make an appointment turn up on time or ring before to say you will be late, that's the professional way. Argh 😠 😡
