Established in 1989 Sloane & Sons specialise in teak garden furniture such as benches, dining and lounge furniture. Our USP is that since 1989 we have manufactured ALL of our cushions and soft furnishing here at our purpose built facility in Burton on Trent. Unlike our competition who still import cheap foam and cushions we maintain our manufacturing heritage. Our grade A teak furniture is suited to domestic and commercial use.
We absolutely LOVE our new Sherborne corner sofa (with Cotswold Stone-coloured cushions) and can’t wait for the summer to put it out in the garden. It’s a quality product that’s even better than in the website photos. We would prefer the coffee table a little lower, but this is easily rectified. The friendly, quick and responsive Customer Service from Sloane & Sons was excellent.

The Volunteers at Stow Maries WW1 Aerodrome & the Family of a Senior Tour Guide - Les, wanted a suitable Memorial Bench to remember Les by. We decided on the Sandhurst Garden Bench (due to the Union Jack being part of the design) . I placed the order & contacted Callan (on several occasions) - who was extremely helpful with suggestions & advice. The order was delivered yesterday in good time (& perfect condition) for the day when his Family & Colleagues will Remember Les.
Great communication from the start. Feels like a family company. Ordered the Henley 1.8m teak bench for a memorial, having struggled to find ready assembled ones. Arrived on agreed day. Well made and feels very sturdy. Personalised brass plaque is lovely. Highly recommend.
We are very pleased with our Lutyens garden bench, which has just been delivered as a surprised Ruby wedding anniversary present to my wife. The quality is excellent, delivered as promised & and the engraved brass message makes it a very personal present!
From the outset, Callan was really helpful with my questions on the pre Order process, costs and delivery times. This bench was for a memorial for a family member. Unfortunately my bench was delayed but Callan kindly sourced me another and had it shipped the same day. It has now arrived. The quality all round is superb! Highly recommended.

3 years ago we bought the teak banana bench - over £600. It lasted under a year before the back came away from the rest of the body. Sloane sent us a new one… this lasted 2 years before the sides came apart. These benches look great but are really poorly made with thin dowels pegged right at the edge of the wood, so they give way. Fine to start with as the benches are glued together. So I complained to Sloane and they said it must have been used in a commercial environment and damaged, and I should glue and screw it together. At over £600? I think they should review their suppliers and quality control! Follow up comments. I have read Sloane & Sons reply and utterly reject their accusation that the bench has been used in a commercial setting in an unattended location. The bench is in my garden and has never been used by the general public. After a polite conversation with their sales director, we are left at an impasse, with the only solution for me to deliver the bench to Sloane over 100 miles away for them to repair it.
Ordered the Westminster 3 seater flat arm with cushion and couldn’t be more pleased! The quality is excellent, the craftsmanship is superb, and it was very easy to put together with clear instructions. Outstanding customer service from the team, highly recommend this company!
I left this gift late for my wedding, these guys managed to arrange the carving and delivery on time, communication was fantastic and the product is amazing, very good quality.
Ordered a Lutyens Teak garden bench 4 seater with wooden carving as a thank you present to the Care home who looked after our Dad in the last months of his life. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the bench & the carved message and the care home staff think it is absolutely beautiful. It is definitely a fitting tribute to our much loved Dad. The staff at Sloane & Sons were so helpful as I rang them before ordering, with concerns about the delivery. On the day of delivery they gave an estimated time slot and it was a pleasure dealing with them.

I don’t normally do reviews however I just thought it right to acknowledge the excellent service as well as the great quality of the two products we ordered. We are currently doing up our garden and I was able to ring up and get some help on products from a very helpful gentleman. Both the bench and fire pit arrived quickly and as described and we have been able to enjoy both just in time for this lovely weather! Couldn’t recommend enough and will be ordering again.
