Amazing organization. Truly helpful and connected with the community
They seem to have supported a mother of 3 and a mother of 2 autistic children get married. Their LGBTQ status is questionable. This is potentially abusing the system placed for LGBTQ community. Beware of this organization.
SEWA has been essential to me acclimating to Minnesota as a new transplant and for finding community and support. This organization is one of the things I treasure most about Minnesota.
Culture-specific human services are almost nonexistent in the places I have lived. Sewa-aifw is doing the most needed job of serving, supporting, and enhancing family wellness for the South Asian community. Their health initiatives, elderly support, and LGBTQIA+ programs are a few to highlight. Sewa-aifw MN is UNIQUE as they truly support the vulnerable and underserved (Casteism education and prevention, queer community support, etc.) Thank you, Sewa-aifw MN for your continued service.
SEWA-AIFW is a more than an organization, it is an experience. The Minnesota based non-profit working with South-Asian migrant communities and their wellbeing, makes sure to provide a space where people can feel safe and at home. The multi-dimensional projects cover a wide spectrum of minority communities, staring from the South-Asian seniors and their healthcare, LGBTQ+ Community, autistic and neuro-diverse community, the children and young-adults. The events, workshops and cultural festivals organized by SEWA-AIFW makes sure to bring the community together and create a sense of family. It is a delight to have been part of their mission and knowing the amazing people working at the organization.
Sewa's LGBT wing has been my place of community ever since I met them. Thanks Mubina and team for all the love and support!
