When I decided to fit a roller shutter door to my garage, I sought advice from a friend who had recently had one fitted. Unfortunately the company who fitted his door didn't install in my area, so I sought installers who would fit the same door brand. Of five different door installers SD Garage Doors were the only firm who: Turned up on the date and time agreed, Made it 100% clear what options were available to me, Offered a 'complete service' including disposal of the up/over door, making good the floor to fit the seal, making good the fascia so my garage looked just about the same as before. Quoted quickly and with everything included. Mr Day came himself to survey and measure up for the door and had answers for just about every question I posed to him. Any he couldn't answer he followed up by email ASAP. SD's staff were a credit to the firm, with the office staff being extremely responsive and the installers being prompt, professional, friendly and tidy.... You could hardly tell they had been... I had a Hörmann door fitted. It's worked perfectly since being fitted and has meant I can park vehicles much closer to the door without losing pedestrian access. The manual control panel is neal and works well, as do the remote fobs. I'm very happy I chose SD Garage Doors.

I contacted company who sent out a member of staff to give me a quotation for two new garage doors. I was happy with the quote and confirmed my order. Timescale for the supply and fitting went as planned. Doors were fitted and I am perfectly satisfied with the end result. The two guys on site were very pleasant and on completion they explained and demonstrated how the doors open and close. They carried out the work very professionally and left me with a very neat tidy job. All mess was removed from the site also.

Everything was excellent from start to finish. The site visit clearly explained our options and we were advised about getting extra trim to finish things off. After paying our deposit an installation date was quickly arranged. The guys arrived on time and were very professional throughout the installation which didn’t take too long. We were then shown how to operate and look after the doors. The site was cleared of all debris and you wouldn’t know the guys had been. All in very happy. Also mention to the office staff for keeping us well informed of progress etc. Highly recommend.

First class instalment, a good tidy quick job. I am very pleased with the door it was just what I wanted. The installer’s started straight away , offered refreshments but they declined.

Steven, who called to look at the garage door repair, has 35 years experience. It's always reassuring when you know there's almost nothing he hasn't seen before. He explained that the motorised door opening system that I inherited, wasn't designed for my type of door, but Steven would attempt to get it working, which he did with some difficulty. He advised me that when and if that failed, I would need to convert back to a manual opening, for which the door was designed. The motorised door is now opening properly, but I have been made aware of the limitation. Experience is invaluable. I was happy with the emailed invoice, which I received afterwards, the same day, and it was willingly paid immediately. Thank you to Steven. I will not hesitate to call him back if there are any further problems.
