Joined salon iris in 2018 been a loyal customer to them paid to use there software, was paying a subscription fee to them every month as normal they tried getting me on a new software didn't want to change at the time , Got approach by a new company to go over called up to give notice was told I have to pay 11 months when I'm not using the service as we will be going over to a new provider .iv never heard so much silly words said ie your contact is February 2026 I said its a rolling contract surley there should be notice period of 31 days or 3 months not a whole year . So technically you have to pay to your contract date which I carnt rember signing this in 2018 it's 2025 now!!! Absolutely disgusting no compassion was given either Just we will send your contract by email , what a shame to end our business terms like this wouldn't recommend them either.
Unfortunately the ending to my contract with Salon Iris was a disappointing to say the very least! For 18 months I had been asking for features such as an option for the customer to pay a deposit upon the online booking, among other requests. I was fobbed off month after month with different reasons as to why it was not yet a feature but on the other hand promised it would be within the coming months… 18 months later I had had enough. Unfortunately, on my part, I was 8 days late in cancelling my upcoming rolling contract (you have to give 30 days notice before the contract is due to start again) I had given them 22! Therefore they demanded another 12 months… naturally I refused as they could not provide me with the basic services I required in order to run my business effectively. I had paid my subscription through the lockdowns as I was told I would lose data if I didn’t, even though my business was struggling due to complete closure as a result of covid. I had also lost my receptionist as a result in the business taking a huge decline. I tried to reason with them but they just didn’t care at all… With no further hesitation they sent the bill for 12 months, of almost £2000, straight to a bailiff company who constantly bullied and threatened me into paying. I now use a much more modern booking system that offers everything I was getting before plus heaps more, including an app, online payments, waitlists etc…. for a third of the price! Maybe it was my fault for not being more savvy in the first place but ultimately I feel completely let down by Salon Iris and the 5 years I gave them as a reliable customer.
Very slow website. Inflexible reports in the cloud version. Be wary of the fact that although the website majors on it being a monthly price you’re actually locked into a yearly contract that auto-renews with no notice. The website has a number of american spellings which look unprofessional, and is quite inflexible. It’s not bad, but it’s not worth the money they charge. Look elsewhere. Update following response. Regarding AWS. Lovely. It doesn’t matter where you host it if the software is slow. Just to be clear I tested access from a 1Gbps Ethernet connection. The first page sometimes takes several seconds to load. Not disastrous but not gold standard. Regarding the spellings, you’re just demonstrating your poor development skills with that response. That’s the purpose of language files which are able to provide the correct spelling for different languages and are perfectly capable of differentiating between British and American locales as identified by the browser. I stand by my comments and simply wanted people to be aware of what they’re letting themselves in for.
I have been using Salon Iris now for 8 years. I wouldn't be without it for my dog grooming salon. Any time I need any help the staff are always so helpful. It has never ever let me down compared to other systems I used previoulsy. One thing that would be great (maybe its already in the program) would be that when I close a ticket that customers are able to receive a prompt to leave a review ???? Just a thought and no biggy. Firstly, I would like to commend the Salon Iris support team, they are amazing. The system itself is good. There are certain applications that they don't have, which as one of the most expensive systems is not acceptable. The admin staff are great until there is an issue, then they can be obnoxious. I have had two very unpleasant exchanges with the head person. My main problem was that I originally only agreed to sign up on the provision that I was NEVER signed into an auto renew or rolling contract. On my renewal they automatically put me into an auto renew contract. I trusted that this would not be done, but it happened anyway and unfortunately, I signed. (So read your contract very carefully) They are prepared to lose customers rather than honor their promises. Then when it was time to leave salon Iris I found that, although easy to remove all my client contact info and other reports, I was not able to easily transfer my individual client formulas, treatment lists and product purchases. You can transfer the general lists but not individual ones. Anyone who uses online systems would see this as a huge problem. It took me 6 weeks for my staff, in shifts, to copy and paste each client’s formulas, product purchases and treatment sales onto excel spread sheets. Once the system had expired, I didn’t have any communication on how or what they have done with my Data. A few days before my system expired the system was backed up remotely by someone, although we were not requested for the system to be commandeered, the mouse just started moving and someone was remotely in control of my computer for a few min backing up the system. In conclusion, there are online booking systems at a fraction of the cost that have better facilities. I have moved to a fantastic Australian system which is less than a third of the price, NO contract, full facilities and offers online payments including gift voucher online purchases and more. There is nothing in Salon Iris which is unique or special to warrant the amount they charge. Shop around …
I have used Salon Iris for about 5 plus years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I absolutely love my website, it’s very versatile so I can tailor make it to how I want it. My clients find it super easy to book their appointments through it too and they also rave about it. The online booking side of things has definitely made my business busier as it’s just so convenient for my clients, especially as I can not get to the phone as much as I would like! The text message and email reminders have pretty much reduced my no shows to zero too! Whenever I have a technical issue however big or small the guys are always there to help, and they always go above and beyond to help me. I’m really really not a ‘techy’ person so have this kind of support is so important for me. I’ve used all of their versions of the system from solo use to the pro system and now I’ve closed my salon and I’ve moved my business home I am on the cloud version of the system I’ve loved them all and each version has suited my needs at the time. There’s no hidden costs and what you see is what you get which is just what you need when your running a busy salon. Taking on salon iris was one of the best things I could’ve done for my business, professional website, easy booking system for my clients, text & email reminders, easy reporting and amazing support! Brilliant system, I have tried many systems over the 15 years I have had a salon and Salon iris just ticks all the boxes its affordable and no hidden costs and believe me the hidden costs are in 99% of the big companies that say there is no hidden costs. The sales team and Tech guys at Salon Iris are amazing at being there for you when you need them and make sure anything you need is sorted as soon as possible and nothing is to much trouble for them and the system makes life so simple
As a busy salon owner I never leave reviews but these guys deserve it!! I took over a salon with Salon Iris and have never ever regretted sticking with them. There sales team are helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy, over the years I have upgraded and downgraded my packages, they treat old business with the same deals and respect as new business. The support team are AMAZING they have pulled us out of some very sticky tech situations and nothing is ever to much bother, they always go over and above to help even if its because I've forgotten what button to push (which is often) and your never in a que waiting very long. In recent times they have supported my business through the Covid times and will be forever grateful. Thanks guys!
I have had salon iris software for 10 years I honestly don’t know how I would cope without the team and the program. They are always happy to help and really friendly team. We send texts and email reminders, which of course tremendously cut down know shows. We use for clinic consultation and book keeping etc.. this is one smart system that runs on your own windows PC we add receipt till etc. Most company’s charge a fortune for this type of set up. It’s a small outlay with huge benifits And continued support, which we rarely call because the software is so good.

Our Salon Spring Beauty Room have been with Salon Iris for nearly 9 years now, from the moment we took on the package we saw a huge increase in appointment availability- easier to follow than a diary. Since upgrading we can perform so many more marketing promotions,track client history, engage with clients through the app and so much more. Thankyou to the team, Craig Patrick and the other guys , you help us and explain everything so easily when we need help. The support you have given us since the lockdown has been amazing. Lovely customer service hence the 2 star review. First class support that disguises how antiquated the system is. We were with Salon Iris for 3 years - our second salon software. Though it was far from perfect, we accepted the shortfalls as the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We accepted the shortfalls to the extent that we upgraded to the multi-site version in February this year (which obliges us into a new one year contract, even though we were out of contract for years). This was a mistake, and we should've known better. The first really obvious negative is you can't access important business reports from home unless the computer in the salon is on, meaning we either had to keep the computer on 24/7 or put up with not having access to basic reports outside of opening hours. The multi-site version really highlighted the clunkiness and outdated nature of the software. For example, gift cards can't be used across all sites without a clunky 'fix', as they're not stored on a central location. Another example is you can't make an appointment on another site unless that site's computer is switched on, because appointments are not stored on a cloud. We made suggestions for improvements but none were implemented. Another example of the finnacky nature of the software is their use of Windows 98 style dropdown menus for when you want to check a client out. The drop down is used to choose whether the client is paying with cash or card. This made accounting a pain when there were mistakes made (bound to happen in very busy salons like ours). Our new software has large buttons you can see clearly, which you can either click on or tap using the touch screen. We were promised a salon app to accompany the upgrade but what was offered instead was a salon iris website, a shortcut of which could be saved onto the phones of our clients - this is a cheap way to do it, and clients can tell. We now have a real app that can be downloaded via the Apple Store or Google Play. Our upgrade really showed how primitive the system was. We decided to downgrade about 20 days later.

Salon Iris software delivers everything we need to run, market and deal with all client, accounting and business management. The support staff are all really nice, friendly and most importantly don't make you feel like a twit for not understanding the complex issues that can occur with all computer based technology. COULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE HIGHLY ENOUGH!!! I can honestly say Salon Iris is the best thing to happen to House of Finesse. We have been with them for nearly 5 years now and it has help the business so much in that time. The mobile app on my phone helps me to manage my two very busy salons diarys when im on the the move its brilliant. So easy to use, never had one issue with it and couldnt imagine life without it now. What you can do on salon iris itself for the purpose of the salon is 2nd to none. Stock checks, reports, records, its endless. I can go back to when we first opened, it tells me every appointment the salon has had. Ive been approached by numerous other companies and even been show demonstrations and i would never consider leaving salon iris. The team or so friendly, like friends now. Nothing is ever to much for them. They always go above beyond and always have the best advice. From day one we have received nothing but an exemplary service from this company. Being a new business owner, the initial support and hand holding was very reassuring and has continued throughout. My therapists have always found the training and support very efficient and professional. They are a very experienced company and I have absolutely no reservation in recommending them.
We have been with salon iris for nearly 2 years now and we are incredibly happy with the system and the support we receive from the wonderful team. After doing quite a lot of research for a new system for the salon and meeting with a couple of other salon system reps we found salon Iris. The help received getting us up and running was 5 stars. We recently had a virus destroy our computer and the team were able to get us quickly set up on another device and resolve a very stressful situation and offer advice. If you are looking for a new system for your salon definitely give them a call!
Can't fault this company. Since switching to Salon Iris the sales team have managed to streamline both our booking system and point of sale services with an easy to use interface. On the rare occassion that we've needed help the customer service team have been amazing and explained everything in clear terms to get us up and running again very quickly.
