I started using this course and all its accompanying material a little over a month ago (including the 90 day challenge). I have made vast steps in my relatively short time. Within the last month I've learned Travis Picking and to a well defined level - I'm at the stage now where I can learn any song that has it featured. This was a major hurdle that I struggled with before joining this course. I've also learned chord extensions and alternate voicings for these. I could go on for paragraphs with the material I've learned, but the most important thing I learned was the mindset, holding yourself accountable - the accompanying 90 day group has honestly allowed me to become comfortable with my playing, focus on the things I need to learn (and commit a dedicated time everyday to working towards this). The course itself is easy to navigate and reminds you were you left off, the videos encompass all the elements of playing this wonderful genre and each section is broken into sub-sections which really allows you to learn at your own pace. My first talk with Colin I mentioned that I have experience playing guitar but Rockabilly was a genre I couldn't wrap my head around, well I can safely say it's an area now that I no longer struggle playing songs in but have also began composing my own, all thanks to Colin's guidance and course. He approaches topics that can be difficult by building upon what you know, it's a very comfortable atmosphere and from what I can see from the rest of the group is all the progress everyone is making. I look forward to seeing everyone posts. I can't thank Colin enough for his patience. He is a very kind man and always makes time for his students. I look forward to working with Colin long into the future

Colin is a natural teacher with a lot of experience, and it shows. Colin is patient and encouraging. His lessons are well thought out. As you take his lessons you will see each lesson builds to the next lesson. In just two lessons I have learned the12 bar blues, shuffles, riffs, dexterity exercises, useful movable chords, some music theory, how to practice singing and playing, classic rock songs to learn, and more. Most of all Colin has been a good reliability partner that has encouraged me to stay focused on one type of music and has influenced me to practice more. I have found learning new things and practicing can be fun and the end result will come with patience. Highly recommend his lessons.

This is an excellent well-constructed course designed to get the tyro R & R guitarist up to playing standard within a very short time...and it does. The teacher is intelligent and empathic and has created a supportive Zoom group of peer learners who are always ready to help the novice guitarist through all the pangs, set-backs and self-doubts endemic to the learning of any instrument. Undoubtedly the best constructed and positively taught course that I have encountered and, having spent a career in monitoring educational courses, that is no small thing.

This has been inspirational for me. I had only played some acoustic guitar for years and my solid electric rested in its case. I only knew the basic chords. However, watching Colin’s online rockabilly videos encouraged me to take out my electric guitar again and begin to learn a few licks. I then took the excellent value soloing course and I found the format really user friendly. The fact that the weekly lessons were recorded so that even if I couldn’t make the live feed, I was able to access the lesson later, was particularly useful. The resource materials were clear and concise and Colin’s approach made the course a pleasure to participate in. In a few weeks I have learned so much more about guitar playing, I’ve purchased a loop pedal, started using backing tracks to practice with and I’m getting lots of enjoyment using my newly acquired knowledge.

I have had the most unbelievable great experience with this group. I am now playing singing and recording my performance, oh my god did I just say that, there are many others in this group who are excelling too but at there own speed. I got and still get loads of advice, encouragement and guidance from Colin and other members of the group, my family now like to hear me play and that’s music to my ears.

This is the best Rock n Roll course on the Net… You’ll learn very quickly your pentatonic, your blues and your rockabilly scales. And then learn how to use them in your own solo or cover version of another song. You’ll learn at your own pace with no pressure with all the video lessons available for you to go back and go over what you’ve learned time and time again. Then you have your personal one too one’s with Colin the most patient Guitar teacher you’ll ever meet.. All in all I’m very happy and can honestly say this is the best purchase I’ve ever made to do with music….

A patient yet friendly approach to the guitar world and how to manage the frustrations and intricacies of managing the learning curve and expectations - the groups are all at similar levels and adds the extra encouragement needed as does Colin with a little wit and reality check thrown in- highly recommended

This is an absolutely essential course for anyone wanting to develop and nurture their love for rockabilly and transfer it to the six stringed beast we know as a guitar. I’ve played for around 40 years and I learned a few tricks through the well designed and put together content. Colin is always on hand to help and the community is very encouraging and friendly. For anyone thinking about it, I say go for it, it is invaluable.

I attended the 4 session 60s Rock 'n' Roll Module 1 on Zoom with Colin and his other students. Great value for money, all questions answered in the Zoom sessions, along with Video lessons breaking the songs into sections along with Tablature. I would highly recommend these courses and I am looking forward to the next one.

Clarity and logic in the approach and the material construction and Colin is helpful on an essentially full-time basis to the students.

I started learning to play guitar, online, 18 months ago, learned lots of chords, Pentatonic scales, power chords, etc. Then I didn’t know how to put it all together. I came across Rock n Roll Guitar Masters on YouTube inviting me to join. It’s the best decision I made re playing guitar! I have learned, in three one hour sessions so much, it’s unreal. It has boosted my enthusiasm so much I now know what I needed to know! The lessons are easy to follow and Colin (the tutor) really takes a huge interest in each and everyone in the group, nothing is a problem with him and his dedication and time he puts into teaching you the correct way to play is the reason I can now say “I can play guitar” Tony Cullen

Colin is a brilliant teacher. He has taken our group of absolute beginners from not playing a note to playing classics such as Johnny B Goode and House of the Rising Sun with confidence in under 3 weeks. Awesome!
