I had a wonderful time at Our Retreat in June. Lisa is incredibly warm and welcoming and put me at east immediately. The food is incredible and there’s lots of it and the yoga was fantastic! I had Chloe as a yoga teacher and she created a very special journey incorporating different styles of yoga, breathwork, meditation and healing. I loved it and I’m going back again in November. The venue 42 acres is also fabulous with spaces to chill out, nice walks and very nice accommodation
This was one of the most restorative weekends of the year me. Everything from the beautiful surroundings, the gentle pace and the food was seriously 10/10. I met some lovely women and really connected with myself this weekend too. Lisa, the lady who runs the retreats is so wonderful and calm and told us from the beginning that whilst she would love us to attend as many of the activities as we wanted to - it was our retreat and our retreat so we should listen to our bodies and go at our own pace. Its totally unpretentious with zero expectations, I would really recommend this for first time retreaters. We did yoga, breath work, amazing pilates with Corinne, lake swims and I went for a country run and had plenty of time to also catch up on some reading and enjoy a big bubble bath. Total heaven!
Truly wonderful experience at 42 Acres in Somerset. The breath work and meditation sessions first thing in the morning were the highlight for me, followed by the most amazing fresh food from the garden in the most beautiful setting. I couldn’t recommend it more!
I attended the retreat at 42 acres, and had an amazing weekend. Lisa and Jade were so awesome and made the experience so fun and special. They really worked at breaking down all of the movements to ensure we were doing them correctly, whilst building an atmosphere were we could feel comfortable and supported trying new things. The food was also amazing, and there's a beautiful lake you can go and have a wild swim whenever you get a chance in between classes. I couldn't recommend this retreat more!!!!
Lovely lovely retreat. The classes run by Lisa (meditation mainly) and Jade (yoga and pilates) were pitched at beginners, but with many variations on offer for those with more experience. They are both gentle kind souls with an obvious passion for their jobs. The experience was elevated by the stunning Dorset surroundings - utterly peaceful walks and delicious lake swimming. Food grown on the grounds was served up in ample amounts. High recommended.
What a wonderful experience. 48 hours in beautiful scenery, meeting interesting people and having every detail taken care of for you. Lisa and the team have created something really special. And as an adult not having to think about the time, what to eat or what to do next was just pure luxury.
Super retreat in the UK - beautiful location at 42 acres in Dorset. Chloe the yoga instructor was excellent - warm and encouraging for those of us that were absolute beginners! Lisa ran the breathing & meditations - extremely calm and relaxing. The vegetarian food was outstanding - could taste how fresh and fragrant it was. The wild swimming was a highlight for me.
Have just spent a wonderful weekend at 42 Acres. Put simply, it surpassed all expectations. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable from the off. Lisa and Jade were wonderful hosts - friendly, approachable and thoughtful. The delicious food kept on coming and along with some fantastic yoga and pilates sessions, I left feeling nourished and refreshed. This retreat strikes just the right balance between giving you time to yourself whilst making you feel very much part of a community. No matter your yoga ability or experience, Jade and Lisa do a great job of making you feel safe and confident. 42 Acres is a stunning location, and much thought has been put into the details that make it a very special place to spend a weekend. I would highly recommend this retreat and will certainly be doing another in the future.
A truly fabulous week! Lisa and Richie were perfect hosts and instructors, they listen to individual requirements - so don't be nervous if you think (like I did) that you might feel pushed to engage if you don't feel up to it or feel it might be beyond your capability. We were encouraged and felt really good and pleased with what we achieved. It has changed the way we approach our daily life, as we learnt a lot and about ourselves. Along with the serious stuff, we also had a real laugh, some fun nights and met some lovely people. Can't recommend enough and will be booking again! Thanks Our Retreat!!
It's a few weeks since I returned from my week in Chamonix with Our Retreats but I am still feeling the benefits and regularly day dream about the great time I had whilst there. I love skiing and I love yoga so the combination of the two was very hard to resist. Lisa and her crew, the inspiring Richie Norton and Tamara, looked after us so well and had this great ability to involve everyone and make us all feel welcome and like family. They were warm and caring and engaged us in interesting conversations as we usually stuffed our faces with the culinary delights of Nick the in-house chef. (He's brilliant by the way, my personal favourite being his coconut tart ❤️) The exercise regime was a mix of breath work, stretches and yoga both morning and evening which challenged my body but also invigorated me. There was a special treat of a gong bath and early morning meditation put on by Tamara and Lisa which were another highlight for me. Just beautiful moments. The weather and the skiing didn't let me down either and the beautiful sunshine and blue skies just added to the sense of gratitude I felt for being there. It was evident there is a lot of thought and organising that goes into Lisa looking after her guests so well. I was genuinely sad to leave all my new friends but there's only one way to solve that - quickly book your next visit, which I have absolutely done! Can't wait to be back getting some more "Our Retreat" nurture. Traci x
A world away, true retreat style, in 42 Acres... Amazing weekend of yoga and pilates skillfully led by sensitive and nurturing women... Lisa and Emily should be so proud of their abilities to create a beautifully relaxing and reflective environment, facilitating so much more than just yoga and pilates, inbetween incredible thoughtfully prepared food. Absolutely loved my weekend here - beautiful accommodation in a wonderful tranquil setting, lovely people running it, and some excellent yoga / Pilates classes. A really nice group of ladies too, who all enjoyed the delicious home cooked food on offer. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again - can't wait for next year! The only retreat out there in my opinion!!!!!!! Our retreat holds space for true growth and reflection, from laughing and dancing wild and free to breathing at sunrise and deep introspection. Transformative experience. So grateful x p.s my abs are on fire now in the best poss way
Just back from a relaxing and energising retreat at 42 Acres with Lisa and Jade. The weekend was a wonderful combination of challenging and supportive yoga, breath work, meditation, woodland walks and interesting conversation with a lovely group. 42 Acres is a fantastic venue; the individual rooms and shared spaces are warm and comfortable and the food was both plentiful and delicious. What really sets this retreat apart though is the combination of warmth and humour in which Lisa and Jade held the group - it was good fun as much as it was a healthy, stretching and nourishing retreat, in all the ways. Would recommend...and hope very much to repeat.
I started going on Our Retreats about 5 years ago and have gone as often as possible since then. Not only are the villas always beautiful but Lisa thinks of everything. Incredible, fresh food cooked every day by chefs. Amazing daily classes and always a great group of people. I honestly cannot speak more highly of the experience and always come away with more than I bargain for. Worth every penny and more. Can’t wait for the next one.
The Italian retreat was amazing. The villa was absolutely beautiful. I loved the pool, spa and incredible view! Breathwork and meditation sessions led by Lisa were incredible. And I loved yoga and Pilates led by Emily. Her classes were calming yet energising. The food was delicious too, I loved that we had pasta and pizza. I’d highly recommend Our Retreat.
Super well organised! The food was superb, the yoga teacher provided personalised attention (a great mix of challenge and gentleness - as well as adjustments where needed). There was space to socialise and withdraw, to be active and rest. A very friendly bunch of people, working well as a team and providing a very memorable experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to reconnect with their body, wants tranquility and space for meaningful contact!
Amazing experience and very restorative. The UK retreat had amazing food, excellent yoga classes, and fun activities in the between. Also had interesting conversations with lots of inspiring women. Felt extremely rested, both mentally and physically.
This was my first retreat and WOW what an experience. It was incredible, truly inspiring and so eye opening. I left feeling so much more positive and could really feel my light shining. Everything was amazing, I feel really lucky to have experienced what I did, so so grateful
