These work a treat. Cone is a little smaller than I thought but perfectly adequate for a single veggy plant or a few herbs. Enormous reservoir. Delivery was fast too!
I must applaud the first class customer service I experienced when I reported damage in transit to one insert of the three oasis boxes I ordered. Within days following my email and photo a replacement was sent, extremely well packaged and arrived whole. I’m really looking forward to trying my self watering oasis boxes which are quite attractive and well made. I think they will be more efficient, free up more room in my greenhouse and be easier to refill than my current system of Quadgrow
2nd part to my review of Oasesbox. I have now stated to use the boxes for the 5 tomato plants and the courgette. Setting up is straight forward and my plants are all doing well. Negatives so far: Not easy to check the water levels and topping up can be awkward. Could do with a way of dipping the water level to check it and a dedicated aperture for putting water in.
This is our second order of the oases boxes as we really liked the first set. The service was excellent too as one box was damaged but was immediately replaced.
I purchased nine oasesboxes unfortunately one was damaged.I contacted Markus and one replacement was sent.I am now just waiting for my seedlings to appear so I can transplant in my new oasesboxes and have a very good crop of toms and cucumber. Excelent customer service and product.
I bought 6 of these last year and grew cordon tomatoes with very good results. ( Though it was a good year for gardeners generally). The reservoir keeps one's plants happy for a couple of weeks at least, which is useful for holidays away ( remember those?). They also only need about 8 litres of growing medium as compared with 40 for the size of pot you might use for a tomato. A cost saving if you buy growing compound in bags and less weight to hump around. I've bought another six and intend to grow padron chillies, cucumbers and salads. They're really chunky and I'm sure will last for many seasons.
excellent service and excellent product .would not hesitate to recommend both to any of my friends.
Very good product, sturdy and well manufactured, looking forward to using them.
Arrived promptly items look sturdy looking forward to growing my tomatoes in them
Ordering was easy, delivery quick and well packed. Everything looks great, obviously too early to say how the pots perform wth the "self" watering as they won't be planted up for a couple of months. However, I live in hope that all will work well.
Order arrived promptly and goods met detailed description.
Delivered promptly and on time.
Quick efficient delivery.A first class service
Good service. Fast delivery.
fantastic service
Prompt delivery and well packaged.
I have been using the Oasesbox system now for the last 2 years and found them brilliant. In the past I have been on my caravanning holidays and come back to plants that have dried up and withered through lack of water but no more. The Oasesbox system looks after my plants whilst I am away, all I have to do is ensure that I top up the water and the Oasesbox system does the rest. I have come back to plants and vegetables that are blossoming. I would recommend the Oasesbox system to seasoned gardeners and beginners alike as l know that the results will be first class.
Plant up , fill the reservoir then can leave for weeks before need to refill, trailing geraniums petunias trailing lobelia & upright geraniums combined make a big colourful display Also work well for vegetable growing, esp tall or trailing veg, eg tomatoes, courgettes runner beans & will be ideal for growing medicinal cannabis for home use when it is soon expected to be legalised in uk
i love this product, i had the Oasesboxes out in full sun all summer and no fading of the colour and there seem to be no issues with the sub zero temperatures we have just had. The plants grow well and it is easy to remove them using only half the compost of a normal planter. Easy to top up with water and to add plant feed. Only drawback i found was during heavy rain and they over flow. Not a major problem as it rarely happens and i just tipped out an inch or two.
I have been using Oasesboxes now for a few years and they are just brilliant. I’m not a particularly careful or skilled gardener but the Oasesbox makes successful gardening far more attainable and removes much of the uncertainty. No worry about intermittent watering or lack of watering during holidays. Feeding is easy - just add it to the water occasionally. Beyond that you only have to deal with the bit above ground. I have successfully grown crops of tomatoes, cucumbers, Italian leaf lettuce, chillis and peppers. I have a collection of ferns in an Oasesbox flourishing outside all year. Indoors I have a lemon tree that produces lush foliage, fragrant blossom and juicy lemons, all thanks to Oasesbox (prior to its transplanting it was a sorry excuse for a plant and was nearly put out!) At the end of a growing season my Oasesboxes clean easily with a hosepipe and hand brush. They then stack together ready for the next year. They are robust, light weight and, should you need it, they link together like giant Lego pieces. After several years of disappointing tomato growing I nearly gave up, but this year we had delicious homegrown tomatoes from June until the end of October. I can honesty say if it wasn’t for Oasesboxes my green house would just be used for storage.
