I've lost£8595 which I paid for 3 funeral plan for myself,wife,and daughter told me my money would be protected big lie obviously,how can this be allowed to happen why aren't these companies vetted before they operate

My husband and I have lost over £5000 which we used to purchase a funeral plan. We took the plan out because it looked foolproof and we felt it would help our children when we died. What a fool. We are pensioners and haven’t a hope in hell of affording another and because we are just over the threshold with pensions we are unable to claim any benefits which would mean we could not access any help with costs. Oh well. Will have to find someone to dig a hole in our back garden and get buried there. Disgusted does not even describe what we feel

My parents took out the plans and we have lost £6000. I just don't know how we will find the money for a funeral now. Absolutely disgusting. I cannot begin to tell you how upset we are.

Both my Sister in Law and myself both bought Funeral Plans after my Mum died. We are both Pensioners and we paid £2885 each, for our plans. I feel ice-cold anger that would have only been sated by a Sword, in days gone by. I suppose the clue was in the name, so I accept Caveat Emptor, but never the less, we're both f****d now. I only receive basic state pension and have no hope of getting another. So just stick us in a mass pit along with the rest of the vulnerable mugs.

This company has gone into liquidation with no financial backup just lost almost £3,000 pounds. They said the money was safe when taking out the policy and would be backed up if they ran into difficulties. I have Stage 4 cancer now no funeral plan for my wife to rely on to take care of the funeral Totally gutted how can they sleep at night

Not for profit funerals have gone into voluntary liquidation from today 6.7.2022.Anyone who paid for their plans or even the deposit via a credit or debit card should contact their card provider and see if they are eligible for chargeback under section 75.

I am trying to find out if this company has applied to the financial conduct authority because from 29 July 2022, any funeral plan provider that isn’t authorised by them will be committing a criminal offence if it attempts to sell or administer a funeral plan.Any prospective purchasers must ask the question. Why have you not yet applied? On the FCA website it say you have not yet registered and "This provider hasn’t submitted its application yet. It may not be authorised to continue funeral plan business after 29 July 2022." So, in summary, anyone thinking of purchasing from you should ask the question before deciding to purchase.That's what I am doing, asking, you are obliged to answer or should anyone who needs to know go through the FCA to ask you?

I am very pleased to find this company for my relatives as they wanted something simple and no fuss for their funeral and also speaking to the friendly team put me at ease and helped me to get what they were looking for and true to their words, always sent the relevant documents the next day and a cash back for introducing friends as promised.

I found the telephone service and information I received in the post excellent, my only criticism would be the online form when completing on behalf of a 3rd party. I work in an office environment and am used to completing online forms but this one bore no resemblence to the paper version. In the end I reverted to the paper form I received through the post to complete the arrangement as this was much clearer. Having completed the details and payment the arrangements with a local funeral director were made/confirmed and certificates received promptly. As we have not yet had need of the service this is as far as my review can go.

Whilst I cannot (obviously!) comment on the eventual outcome of my purchase of funeral plans, the process of purchase was very easy. I was contacted within a few days of applying and received all the paperwork promptly. Everything is easy to understand and I have great confidence that my eventual departure will be as financially painless as possible for my family. Regarding cost, I did take the trouble to research and found that direct-purchase of similar pre-paid services from local undertakers was anything up to £1500 more, especially for the large nationally advertising companies. Generally, arranging a funeral at short notice after a death is more expensive so it makes sense to pre-pay.

From initial enquiry to completion of plan, I was kept well informed of options and procedures .Informed that my plan covered a very basic funeral, not including Press Notifications or flowers ect. I Am satisfied that what I have selected will meet requirements. Therefore relieving my family any added stress or cost.

My wife and I discussed pre-arranged funerals for us. Obviously it makes sense to save money and aggravation to arrange it now. Initially we were going to have a simple "direct" cremation, no fuss and unattended. Good job we discussed this with our family, they were not best pleased. So, troll through the internet and one company, Not for Profit came to the top. Searched all the reviews, professional and otherwise and looked into their solicitors and Trust Funds etc and was impressed. Their prices were the keenest, and their service was exemplary. No sales pressure, any queries answered immediately and best of all, local undertakers and crematorium.
