Innovative British Chocolate
Ordered an advent calendar on November 27th. It still hasn't arrived and it's December 5th! When I emailed the company to query this, their response was indifferent and they just blamed the Royal Mail strikes. They did not reply to my second email at all. Why would they use a delivery company that has announced a series of strikes?! It feels as if they don't care about customer satisfaction. I can't comment on the product as it hasn't arrived...
Not only does this company make the best 100% dark chocolate I have found in the UK, the website staff are incredible helpful and friendly. So happy to have found a quality source of great dark chocolate and I appreciate their ethical focus as well.
Poor quality chocolate. I purchased a large box of assorted dark chocolate truffles for my wife. The truffles were hard, dried out, and the chocolate has a granular texture to it with a bitter aftertaste. We were both rather disappointed! Sadly would not recommend.
I love their 100% dark chocolate, it's one of the best I've tasted. Great service as well
Great chocolate and they even sponsor a cycling team. How cool
Sadly, we went in to the CHICHESTER store, and asked if there was any chocolate tasting available, as there was last year. The woman (I fear she was the owner/manager) said 'No because not all of my staff are double jabbed'. What a mind boggling statement. How does chocolate tasting have ANYTHING to do with whether or not someone has been jabbed with an experimental, dangerous gene therapy? If the 'jab' works at all, surely it's utterly irrelevant who has or hasn't taken it. This makes us think that behind closed doors, this bizarre woman is coercing her staff to get jabbed, and that I will not support. Will never be going in here again. Hopefully she comes to her senses, and realises she's helping this draconian insanity stay around for longer.
Took about a week to get used to the taste of 100% dark chocolate as I didn’t even eat dark chocolate before - but now I absolutely love it! Creamy, healthy and exactly what I wanted
Obsessed with the 100% cocoa Absolute black chocolates. Not bitter at all, they are super creamy and the best part is they satisfy the need for a treat with minimal impact on diet. You only need 1-2 squares and you already feel quite full. it is absolutely impossible to binge on this. people in UK really need to eat healthier, no offence but from what I've seen women are not slim. If you went to Sweden you wouldn't see this. I assume the negative reviews are from people who binge on milk chocolate and pasties for breakfast as this chocolate is very tasty ? I have tried three varieties the hemp, mint and original black and all have been very good. I even find it creamier than Lindt. Yes, in general dark chocolate is in fact bitter. But I did not find this one to be bitter at all.
I had an issue with an order and I emailed twice. They have yet to reply and it has been a month.
Wow great service as ever from Montezuma's. Their fast packaging and great delivery service from Royal Mail means my sister who faces Christmas alone, (with her presents stuck at Mum's) now has a parcel of your yummy chocolate to open on Christmas day! Thank you so much.
Absolute black 100% cocoa truffle snowmen are the most horrible chocolate we have ever tasted. Had to spit it out. If we could give less than one star it would be a minus 10.
Definitely can't knock the chocolate it was superb , but come on ,£25 for five items and half a box of cardboard cuttings I don't mind receiving it as a present I certainly wouldn't give it .
Things go wrong The way they are sorted make all the difference Thank you you keep a loyal customer
Lovely chocolates great to give as gifts.
I contacted them about a faulty bar of chocolate that I bought at Waitrose and without requesting any proof they sent me 3 bars of chocolate to make it up. Excellent quality of chocolate too.
Excellent chocolate - no faults there and many items can be obtained from Waitrose, Ocado and, now, Sainsbury's. HOWEVER - regarding home delivery of their more exotic bars, please read on? Unless you opt for next day delivery, this company use Hermes which is a very hit and miss company. It then depends on the skills, experience and personal commitments of their local couriers for items to get to you. EDIT - the wonderful chocolate arrived after 6 days. My wife said that the Hermes delivery man was very polite and courteous. I have upgraded my review from 3 star to 4 star.
A challenge every year is to find an Easter egg bigger than my sons head - Montezunas came up trumps with their 1kg giant egg, and delivered within a few days. Well wrapped generally. But sadly the egg was slightly too large for the box and had been broken in transit. I telephoned them and was immediately offered a replacement - the big ones had already sold out so they sent me a slightly smaller one AND a refund, AND we got to keep the giant egg. My son thought Christmas, Easter and birthday had all arrived together! Friendly helpful staff, nice chocolate - will definately shop here again.
