Friendly and helpful staff in store. Would have been 5 stars but after completing forms for a new ISA this morning my husband and I have to wait 24 hours to receive our new account details before we can transfer the funds to go into the accounts. then we wait for our passbooks to be posted to us. Would have been nice to get it all done in 1 go but Melton BS probably have a lot of new accounts being opened at this time.
It was very nice being able to walk into a bank and actually talk to somebody and literally do business over a counter. Staff very friendly,helpful and put you on the right foot and explained the ins and outs wether making a deposit or drawing money out. Opening the new Adcock account was quick and easy. It was a shame that the account could not be opened online.
Having just opened an account, I found the process longer and more complicated than I have come across before. For example, to have an online account I had to ring to get half a password, which then was eventually emailed,the other half coming by post. Lots of letters were involved in the whole process, which must be very costly for the BS. Having said all that, each time I rang up my calls returned promptly, so there was no waiting on the phone. And above all, the people were absolutely charming and couldn't have been more helpful!!! I'd have loved to do the whole process by phone@
I called the customer help desk and spoke with them regarding my account query. It was dealt with promptly and very professionally. The person I spoke to was very courteous and dealt with everything I requested very diligently.
A 5 star service from Melton. I sent my application form on Monday 24th March, the account has been opened and funded the day after and today (March, 26th) I was able to go on line and see my account and money duly registered. On Monday, although it wasn't requested, as a new customer, I sent my council tax letter as a prove of address for them and today was returned in the post. I made a couple of phone calls also and I must say that the people there are absolutely lovely.
Staff in the grantham branch were really kind and helpful in making arrangements to open an account. Great customer service and advice given on available options. Excellent service on opening an account in branch. Staff are very professional, friendly with great customer service skills. A very positive experience thank you.

Transferring an ISA. With this company. I was seen at the appointed time. Greeted courteously and pleasantly. The business was conducted swiftly and efficiently. I was given all the information I needed, and told that the relevant paperwork would be forwarded to me as soon as possible.
Always really helpful in the branch. The computer systems are a bit archaic but we always get there in the end.
I opened Melton Building Society’s new Adcock Regular Saver yesterday with a rate of 6.50%, the account was easy to open and the rates are competitive when compared to others on the market. Their continued use of passbooks also sets them apart from other building societies on the high street.
Good high street platform and competive accounts with good old fashion bank books that many people still prefer .personal service with real people at cash desks.ive always been happy with what they offer
I visited the building society recently and was impressed by the friendly, courteous staff . The Melton branch retains the customer service that other banking establishments seem to have lost. Their savings rates are good, comparable to the bigger names in the business and I have been happy to invest with them for over 30 years. Many thanks to the staff who made my last transaction very easy.
