I was able to take part in Medic Hut’s Annual Medicine Conference. This was a wonderful, interactive experience in which I was able to learn new things about the application process as well as applying my knowledge further through learning how to analyse and x-ray.
It was very informative and interactive and had my attention the whole time. I learnt many new things like interpreting a chest scan. Overall, this conference was very enjoyable.
The experience was fast paced so it was quite active, very informative and gave insight into the aspects required for medicine, it was nice learning about the Oxbridge, ucat, bmat process and the work experience was amazing, educational, collaborative and very enjoyable.
Going through case studies and having goes at diagnosing patients after learning the theory of the process was what made the experience really great

This not only gave a detailed insight into the process of applying to university, but also gave a great idea of what it’s like to work in a particular field of medicine, in this case Radiology. This was a brilliant session.
I found this extremely beneficial because I got an insight into the different aspects of the application process. This was very different to other virtual conferences I have attended, because you gave us the opportunity to practise what we’re learning.

The Virtual Medical Conference was very well organised and I enjoyed the work experience at the end.
I loved how interactive it was. It wasn’t all listening but we could interpret chest X-rays and ask questions to Cambridge students. I know I can talk about this experience in my personal statement and future interviews as I found it really helpful.
