The best food in town. Top-notch quality and taste.
Really friendly and approachable. Visited on the chance of getting something and sorted us out with a croissant and a pain au chocolat. They were both DELICIOUS! Thank you!
I ordered and finally received these pasties. I have to say they are fantastic, best gluten free ever. I will definitely get them again.
Fresh and yummy Croissant. I will recommend every one to buy from Manna Dew
I just tried the best GF croissants ever in my life. I have been trying different GF pastries in London, but never have experienced anything better than those of Mannadew. The owner was so sweet and decent that he followed up with my delivery and made sure I enjoyed them. Definitely recommend!
The best gluten free pastries I have ever tried. Always been an issue in finding a gluten free croissant that is delicious and fresh. My favorite goodie from Mannadew is Gluten Free Pain Au Chocolate with a cup of tea it makes my problems go away. Will definitely be coming back for more.
Placed order on Wednesday for Friday delivery, didn't arrive. I had to email Manna Dew to be informed there was an issue and delivery would arrive first thing Saturday when they shouldhave contacted me, it is now arriiving Saturday afternoon so my Saturday plans have had to be cancelled so I am home to take in. They are expensive so this is a treat for me and I'm really disappointed. I won't be buying from them again.
I ordered two of each of the pain au chocolat, danish and chocolate and almond pastries. The pain au chocolate and the danish were very nice. The chocolate and almond were disappointing - they arrived broken into pieces and the filling was more like cake than a paste in a pastry. Wouldn't have those again. They also didn't taste as nice after freezing, and the minimum order volume means I have to freeze them as I am the only person eating gluten free. Overall, I thought they were overpriced for the quality and restrictions - I have ordered from another gluten free bakery that was better and cheaper.
Pastries are very good. Wasn't keen on the bread at all and wouldn't order that again. Never had an issue with delivery - always turned up when stated.
I was delighted when I found the Manna Dew website offering Gluten Free goodies. My son misses pastries so much since diagnosis so it was to be a real treat for him to have some. I received my order yesterday, a 5 pack of GF pastries and 3 cookies. My son opened the cookies and proceeded to eat one, when he bit into a large piece of sharp jagged plastic. He quickly showed me the plastic which was still in the cookie. I was absolutely horrified. I rang and spoke to the manager who seemed not concerned, he said " In over 8/10 years of baking this happened maybe once twice before". He advised he would look into this and get back to me. He hasn't. I have received a refund but no further communication. Appalling, dangerous, do not use. Environmental health have been notified and are investigating
Well holy **** - I have been gluten free since I was 15 (now 28) and would go as far to say these are the best gluten free products I’ve ever tasted, they are amazing. They are so good I had to double check what I ordered in case I somehow ordered non gluten free ones. As someone who has always dreamed of opening a gf pastry shop (due to lack of options), I can safely say there is no point, it would never be as good as manadew do it. Checkout process was easy, delivery was on the specified date. The only bad thing is the price, I wish they were cheaper but it’s probably good for my waistline that they aren’t.
Really excellent GF products I absolutely love them! Never had an issue re delivery. Order them for every special occasion
Zero customer service! Nice product but if you have issues with delivery there is no customer service. I order pastries to come on a specified date… they arrived 4 days later now past their ‘use by’ date and couldn’t be consumed. No response to emails. I will not be purchasing again.
I was genuinely surprised to see negative reviews for this company. I have been ordering from them for over a year and have always found them easy to order from. Recently there was a mix up about delivery but the owner sorted it politely and efficiently and I was more than happy. But the most important part is their food is delicious and for those out there who are GF its so refreshing to have food that tastes like normal food. I treat myself to a box of pastries once a month and freeze what I don't inhale on delivery. Get involved... you won't regret it 😁
Terrible service. Paid £6 for a Friday delivery for a birthday and it never arrived. Got told it would be with me the following Tuesday as they had made an error but owner refused to refund the delivery charge or offer any form of apology. Just cancel order or get it 5 days late. Told him this wasn’t a fair response and got told my order was to be cancelled. Awful. Rude. Bad business practice - read a few other reviews after and seems the owner has form for being rude and treating people this way. Avoid. Lots of other nicer bakery’s out there
Ordered over weekend for delivery on Tuesday. My address on address finder was not as full as it might have been and someone ‘phoned on Sunday to check. They use the best delivery co (DPD) with delivery on time. All good.
Just had a surprise delivery of sweet and savoury pastries for Mother’s Day. What a fabulous idea! These are gluten free ( excellent for me) and look smell and taste absolutely delicious. Generous portions and you wouldn’t know that they’re any different from “normal” pastries. You can store them for 4 days in the fridge or put the in the freezer if you can’t eat them all in one go! Also come in a box which is clearly labelled food and attractively packed. Highly recommended and thank you to my family!
Unfortunately a very bad experience with this company, asked for delivery on a specific day, it arrived a day early, I was unaware that they could deliver at any time. My email regarding the delivery day was more than polite, just asking what went wrong…I even started the email with ‘Hello, I hope you are well’. The chap called me back and all seemed fine, he even said it was their fault and asked if I wanted a refund. I said no, times of covid and all, I said i didn't want a full refund from a small business, asked if I could just get a voucher to get a little money off my next order and have this confirmed in an email (you know sometimes things can get lost, vouchers dont work etc)...suddenly his tone changed, he said he didn’t want me to order from them again and then proceeded to go off on one...SUPER ODD behaviour!
These gluten free pastries are gorgeous and the perfect way to treat yourself. My mum got these for breakfast for my 21st Birthday and the quality is excellent. Mo and his team are so friendly and delivered the pastries themselves (during lockdown too in March !!). I don't know anywhere in the U.K that does gluten free pastries at such a high standard.
I had an issue with the order date. I understand it was my mistake. However, all I tried to do was fix the date, but it wasn’t possible. Fine. However, the person on the phone kept interrupting me to tell me it’s my fault, I was notified multiple times (I’m not on emails 24/7), etc. I told him that it’s fine, I wasn’t demanding a refund, just trying to fix the date. There was no need to continually cut me off, and blame me. I even asked him to stop interrupting, and that it’s fine. He persisted to interrupt and cut my communication. Why not just leave it at “I’m sorry we can’t now change the delivery.” Why continually say that I failed to notify in time, I received emails, etc? It has nothing to do with why I called. We could’ve left it at that. But instead he upset me, so I’ll never order from such rude people again. To make matters worse: the food is not good. It doesn’t survive the shipment. Why do they offer shipping outside London when they know it arrives in lousy condition. It was dry, the cookies were burnt, none of it was even remotely good. Absolutely a nightmare in every way.
