Seem to be a lot of 5 * reveiws here, I suspect more than a few are written by the shop. I only went here once to play a magic tournament, to be honest glad I was turned away as they were sold out. I've seen sardines in a tin with more room, windows dont open so its very stuffy and hot, oh and stank of sweat too. My response to some of the other review comments. Honestly, the best game store that Liverpool has ever had. (Replace best with smallest. There used to be a much bigger and better located store in Liverpool when I used to play.) located in central Liverpool. (Well a ten minute walk from the bus station, no cheap parking, actually not in central liverpool) Definitely the best wargaming & card playing venue in the city (Actually theres a new one opened I hear is bigger better and a lot more room. Currently trying to find its address.) A friendly and inclusive atmosphere where all are welcome. (HA I turned up for a migic tournament and was turned away as they had no room. Really? The 'best' store in liverpool cant fit in new players?

How amazing place for magic people

Honestly, the best game store that Liverpool has ever had. Store owners that actually care about the appearance of their business. If their website says they have something in sock, then its in stock. The staff are all approachable and the community that has been built around their games is incredible. Other stores could do with looking at this place as an example of what makes a game store great. My only negative is that I spend too much of my salary there.....

Very helpful staff and quality gaming space. Good turnaround on orders, and although I've never played in the store (yet), a seemingly thriving community for Warhammer 40k, AoS and Magic. Top store!

Excellent staff in an excellent store. Great range of stock at competitive prices and the knowledge, friendliness and enthusiasm of the staff just make the whole experience more of a meeting between friends than a business transaction.

Shipped quickly, and order was accurate. They use Royal Mail, so shipping (to the USA) was a little expensive. Well worth it.

Love the store, awesome people who I enjoy seeing again. Only thing stopping 5 stars is the Heat which is bad, to the point of wearing shorts in Autumn

Friendly gaming centre with decent stock of gw and ffg games and hobby.

I have only been going to Just Play for about 2 months now and I feel really welcomed there. From day one the staff where really friendly and welcoming. I went in wanting to get in to a Final Fantasy card game and they helped me with that, gave me a place to play and a community of people to play with. They are so helpful and the guys run a really nice venue. I really like just hanging out there. And while it is a shop/gamer cafe they arent pushing you to buy stuff. It isnt about the money, its about the love of the games. In short, its an amazing and friendly atmosphere with some really good people and some really good games. And it seems to be the only place in the world that sells R Whites Raspberry Lemonade which is like magic.

The shop gave me a place to start play my games with friends and stangers - Ritchie (the ownwe) is very cool and chill dude, says hi to everyone comming through and takes interest in what people are doing and playing store is a little small and can get really hot but other than that I would say its the perfect gaming shop.

Best owners around! No bull, and very honest! The players are also extremely friendly and add to the overall atmosphere. Ritchie also loves Hera Syndulla, as much as I love Thrawn!!

A friendly and inclusive atmosphere where all are welcome. Everyone is warm and happy to help in the vast majority of game platforms which are played. I play both card games and tabletop and there are well organised tournaments for both. Prices are always good too and the staff are quality. Cheers.

Best LGS in the area by a mile, friendly and professional staff couples with a clean and accommodating space make for a dream.

Great little well laid out and well stocked Shop with great customer service. The guys here are knowledgeable about most if not all game systems. The gaming area is really relaxed with a social vibe which is complemented by weekly competative events (for those so inclined). Good city centre location close to Liverpools main hotels, restaurant's and pubs for a cheeky meal and a pint. If there is a downside its that it can be really warm in summer when the place is busy but the guys try as best they can with fans and windows. Finally, if the lift is out of order (shared building) the stairs can be a pain if your unfit like me! Otherwise 5 stars!
