In The Swim was founded in 1982 by a husband and wife team. Shipping chlorine from the back of their garage and taking orders on their front porch, they began to have a vision that this could be something big. As the quantities of their orders increased, so did the loyalty of their customers. Before long, In The Swim relocated to a larger facility and hired their first employees to answer the phone. As In The Swim’s customers grew in number, so did the product selection. The one constant factor of In The Swim’s growth has been maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction through its dedication to quality products at the best possible prices and its commitment to the highest level of customer service.
Don't waste your money on their 16mil Solar cover with its year Warranty. Bubbles falling off within a year but specifically excluded from the Warranty.
Ordered two pool covers in September; one was a floating cover for safety of my small dog and the other was a mesh cover that lets water through but catches leaves. I never even got an order confirmation from them but received my order timely. However, it was missing the water bags that were supposed to come with the mesh cover. I called and spoke with Customer Service who researched my order, apologized for the mistake and told me that I would receive the water bags in about a week. They never came. Extremely disappointed, I contacted them again in mid November (after having to close my pool without the bags using ropes to tie the mesh cover down) and this time was totally lied to. The agent told me that he could not find my order, which I could not anymore either, and then after I sent him a photo of my shipping label off the box suddenly decided that the cover I ordered did NOT come with the water bags even though another agent had previously told me that it was a mistake and they would be sent. Evidently, someone was lying and I do know what I ordered. I did hours of research about what I wanted before I ordered. TOTALLY FEEL RIPPED OFF!!
I am very disappointed. I was thrown under the bus this summer by a multi state liner company called galaxy pool out of NJ. I combed the internet to find a company that would sell a liner to me as a homeowner. ( I installed the previous one btw 15 yrs ago. ) in the beginning , the sales rep , Amy , delt with me patiently and knowledgeably. But that went down hill after my cc secured 700.00 . Next , I get emails from someone else with in the swim asking for pictures that the manufacturer wants. I’m at the 11th hour at being able to install a liner and avoiding the pool collapsing in the winter frost which I tried to convey It is shrink wrapped ,heated and pumped as the water table is rising as well. The company and /or the manufacturer has the measurements but seems to be looking for excuses not to making the liner to the size specified. I’m just the homeowner here, the customer and I’m tired of getting banged out by these pool companies. And I really don’t appreciate the attitude over the phone from someone who says they have been selling liners for 9 years. Well, I’ve been in construction for 30 , I know what good service is and I’m not getting it. My advice , keep going if you are looking for a pool liner or anything else for that matter.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE. Their Customer Service stinks. I should have looked for these ratings before I tried to purchase some simple pool items. There are better options online and in stores.
I purchased a pool cover that was missing grommets. At first I used the chat line for assistance but he was no help at all. I then emailed In The Swim and was directed to contact the warranty dept. Without any stress, I was told the cover was in the mail. it was delivered in 2 days. I was totally impressed. I would recommend this company.
I feel like I just got PUNKED!!! ONLY THE BASE WAS DELIVERED.!!!!!!!!!!! Purchase Date: OCT 12/20. Delivered OCT/16/20 The customer is always right, right? This is what I did when I only received the base: 1. Before writing a review on walmart.com I called In the Swim customer service OCT 17 @7am Was on the phone for an hour trying to resolve, after an hr the rep still couldn't find my purchase order in the system, she was supposedly getting help from her supervisor. The call got disconnected, I never got a callback, though I made sure to give my # initially 2. Called them back, the rep found my order about 5 minutes into the convo, it took an hour for the 1t rep to find NOTHING. She offered me a refund. I then informed her that I will be writing a review and contacting Walmart, she fwd me to her supervisor. She told me that they don't even have the shower or any solar showers, that I can only get a refund. I guess the customer is wrong even if I have the electronic pics, barcode, order #, date, price, confirmation, tracking #
CROOKS.....warning don’t buy from them...they offer free shipping then charge and bill you for the shipping. Then just try to contact them......THEY WILL IGNORE YOU.
I order a custom pool cover for an unusual shaped pool. The design team caught a couple of my measurement errors and were great to work with me to get them worked out. The new cover came this Saturday and two hours after it arrived I have it installed on my pool. Thanks to Denise Pree and all of the group at In the Swim that made this possible.
I had to give at least ONE STAR to leave review but this company doesn't deserve a freaking .00001 of a star. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE STILL CHARGED ME for an item I CANCELLED THREE TIMES because I still HAD NOT received my item 2 MONTHS AFTER I ordered it. CROOKS, LIARS DONT BUY FROM THEM!
HORRIBLE customer service. Covers are lousy.
Paid $259 for a 16 year winter cover recently. Warranty claimed full replacement within four years. After only two years, cover showed small holes forming. IN THE SWIM refused to honor warranty and replace cover, claiming damage was due to "mother nature." Gee, I thought they knew the cover would be exposed to mother nature...IT'S A WINTER POOL COVER!!!! In the past, the warranty was honored for the SAME DAMAGE. I have records (and so does IN THE SWIM) to prove that. Owned a pool for over 24 years...purchased many items and covers from IN THE SWIM...but they lost me as a customer now.
Horrible. Just horrible. I ordered a filter/pump that said it was in stock and would be shipped within 1-4 business days. After more than a week, I called and it was going to be sent the next day. I called a week later and was told it would be in the next day and would ship out to me within 2-5 business days. I called the next day and was told it was on backorder and would not be available until 9/22 (arriving more than a month after originally ordered). CANCEL. Don’t need it in the winter, I needed it now. If something was wrong with it, by the time we realized it, it would be out of warranty!! THEN- there is a cancellation form being sent to the “supervisor” to be processed. It’s a cancellation!! I never received anything but they did get my money!! 🤬
I Read most of the reviews and see that I am not alone in my experience .I have never in all of my years on this earth seen customer service this bad ! They ask you to write reviews on products but do not use the honest ones. I ordered a seahawk cleaner and it was completely different in the description than the way it really was . it never said it could not be used in anything but 5 foot pool but the instructions said you must have 2 weights for over 5 ft deep pool so i called them and was informed that it only comes with one and they can not send another because they don't have any parts for these things . Also description on their website says it "quickly eliminates dirt, leaves.sand and debris.leaving your pool clean and clear." paper inside box says pool must be clean when you start . it does not get leaves or debris. when i contacted customer services they would only take it back if i pay a 20%restocking fee stating that i am 2 days past my 14 day return day , i told them i thought it was 30 return and they said it is but only 14 without restocking fee . Whoever heard of a time limit of any kind when all of the problems was the sellers fault ? I did not realize people could even operate like this !
Worst Company Ever!! Customer Service Suck! Lied About Order Shipping, Sent A Tracker That Shows It Delivered, Called And Said It Has Not Left, When I Questioned How I Get Proof Of That I Was Placed On Hold For 25 Minutes Without Warning, Then Shoved To A Voicemail Without My Consent. I Will Be Calling The BBB and My Credit Card Company To Dispute The Charge, File A Grievance and looking for any and all places to leave bad feedback. Welcome to your world when you lie to customers!!!.
If I had read these reviews BEFORE ordering from this company I could have saved myself some headaches. Do yourself a favor and heed the negative reviews. Ordered $173 pump housing. It came this AM, broken....because the item was simply tossed loosely in a box with zero cushioning. Had little chance of making here undamaged in retrospect. Called CS (on a Sunday 8/23/20...because that's when it arrived. ) Good news is a CS agent answered. Bad news is that individual has/had no authority on her own to do anything but give standard answers. Provided (as asked) a picture of the part clearly broken. Said she spoke with a manager.........The company's main (and seemingly primarily) concern is getting the original shipping damaged part back before doing anything to assist. Told them I needed a replacement undamaged, properly packed part....and asked that they process that immediately. Again, their main concern is their RMA procedures (their needs) ahead of supplying an undamaged part (customer's needs). Reading the other recent reviews, I wonder if it is wise to surrender the original damaged part before the new one arrives......if it arrives.
I had waited a long time for a back ordered item and finally had to buy the item elsewhere and told them to cancel the order. They did try, but it was already out of the distribution center. When it arrived I asked for return instructions. They replied that since I had had to wait so long I could keep the item and they were crediting my account for the cost. Nice service. Appreciated!
Ordered a little over $1500 in pool equipment (Pump and new filter) from them on 7/17/20. Got the pump within a week (great), no filter that week or the next. Called and was told I would have to call the transporter, Echo Track. NO help there. Finally figure out that the filter has been sitting 20 miles form my house for more than 3 weeks and InTheSwim could not be bothered to call the shipper and figure out why. I have to pay a lot of extra cash to get a second installer out here AGAIN when it finally shows up. Hopefully it will be here this week, a whole month later.
I placed an order for an item 3 weeks ago and was not notified that the order was cancelled. I had to wait 20 minutes on hold for customer service to tell me that it that was cancelled. While not being able to get the item was disappointing, the service is even more disappointing. Now that it's mid-way through August, the item is sold out everywhere. Not happy.
Refused to refund my wife from an Ebay purchase. Took 3 weeks and an ebay case to get the refund back
I placed an order, it was supposed to be "same day shipping", Didn't get a tracking # until 6 days later. And the main item, an Aquqbot was not in the shipment. They said it was on back order and didn't know when it would be available again. They were told to cancel. A month after I placed the original order, I, after sending a couple of emails, had to call for a $319.99 refund. That was a long time for them to have my money!
