iDonate.ie is an excellent and secure website enabling good causes to reach out to the public in a secure, cost effective way. When you donate there is a suggested 12.5% additional payment based on your donation amount to ensure that platform remains freely available for good causes to use.
Used iDonate for the first time yesterday, found very easy to use to make our Donation. Got the cause for the donation written up easy to understand did not go overboard.

I used iDonate for the first time recently. A friend was going abroad to work with a charity I know for some months and had set up a donation page using iDonate. The first thing I thought is this is so clear and easy to follow..The layout helps that as well as the spacious type print. My friends introduction to the project was excellent and strikingly well laid out. IDonate also allowed for the inclusion of graphics which really helped. It was lovely to be able to read messages from others who wanted to contribute. Again nothing cramped here. There was also the possibility of letting others know about the page who might have been unaware of it. There was also a commitment to good security on the site. I trusted it possibly because my friend is a IT expert and I knew he’d be using the best avaiable. It’s so easy to use iDonate compared with other platforms for similar purposes. I rate it first class.
Today I received ten email reminders in ten consecutive minutes from iDonate.ie that my fund raising page was about to close. This is excessive and poor email etiquette. Even more galling is that due to injury I had to withdraw from the charity event and had transferred my entry to someone else. iDonate.ie I would suggest needs to review it's email communications policy at the very least.
