Good prices. Fast shipping
I would order from them again.
Overall good. Game came on time in mostly good shape. There was some indentations in the box. Usually I wouldn’t care but because the game was so expensive I think it’s worth mentioning. Overall happy though and will be shopping through them again.
Packaging was very protective of the items. Items came in perfect condition.
Good prices for board games and the best part is how well they package your board games. Amazon will just throw your board game in a plastic bag. Game Nerdz uses a nice box with bubble wrap around the entire game or games so that there's no movement in the box during shipment. Nice!
Game Nerdz offers truly unique options for purchasing and fulfillment, such as their Hold system. They also have fantastic, often rock-bottom prices, especially with their Deal of the Day, and Nerdz Day events. However, there are some areas for improvement: - I don't understand why, but Game Nerdz gets new releases and preorder items in long after everybody else, often a week or even ten days afterward. I believe this is due to Southern Hobby distribution, but am not 100% convinced that is the only part of the slowdown. Newly released items routinely show up at competitors a week to ten days before Game Nerdz. Theory: it is possible that they are getting fulfilled by Southern Hobby last, and as a result, get a discount which they pass onto the customers. This could also explain why I've seen preorders go unfulfilled as they are shorted by the wholesaler at a far higher rate than at competitors. This is not an uncommon practice when dealing with wholesalers; if you are willing to the "last man out" and be their one customer who has to deal with the fallout of manufacturing shortages and fulfillment issues, you are given a discount for your troubles. This absolutely seemed to happen recently with the fulfillment of the WizKids 50th anniversary figures, where Atomic Empire, Minature Market, and others all received all of their figures, but Game Nerdz only received some of them. All three use Southern Hobby. If this is the case, I'd wish they would just level with customers and be open about it: yes, we have rock bottom prices, but they come at a cost of convenience, timeliness of fulfillment, and increased risk of cancellation of order. - Preorders should not charge until a day or two before shipping. Sitting on our money for 3 to 6+ months for something that often is delayed or even canceled is wrong. Amazon doesn't do it. Game Nerdz doesn't need to do it. Just hit the card with a temporary hold to ensure the funds are there (it will lift after 24 to 48 hours), and then charge the full amount prior to shipping once the items are received. It's not rocket surgery. It's insult to injury that we have to pay up front, and get preorders long after everybody else, and see higher cancellation rates. - The Accounts page needs a history of Shipments, and what is in what shipment. It is very difficult to track what has shipped and what has not, especially when you have multiple Preorders and other Holds across many months. Customers shouldn't have to save emails in order to have insights into the status of things, when the database on the backend has all of the information already. Don't get me wrong: Game Nerdz is fantastic, and really offer things that nobody else does. But, it does come with a cost. And, I think those issues above could all be addressed without affecting the viability of their business model. If they have to rely on preorder cashflow to survive, they're already on very thin ice. Any business operating that way is a business that is a streak of bad luck away from insolvency. So, assuming that they have the wisdom to not do that, then that means they don't need preorder money to keep the doors open. So, they just shouldn't rely on it or charge it. If they didn't charge preorders until shipment, like Amazon, then within a year they would EASILY sell 2x as many preorders if marketed property. In the short-term cash flow will go down, but in the long term, it absolutely will go up, as will profits.
Great packaging and speedy service. Great prices as well.
Quick delivery and good price, but my board game arrived with some dents and scratches due to poor packing.
I made an order and as soon as I hit enter, I noticed that the address was my old address. I immediately contacted customer service and told them I needed the address changed. They replied back saying I needed to cancel the order, but by the time I received that email, it was too late. The order was already shipped. I tried contacting Fed Ex but I kept getting the runaround and was unable to get them to deliver my package to my current address. So now, my order was delivered to my old address, which I am unable to contact since I don't have any contact info for the current residents. So now I am out 80 bucks and I don't have 2 games I really want. I don't want to repurchase them, so it's just money down the drain, and has soured my experience with gamenerdz. Again, I made the error to begin with, BUT I tried to fix it right away. I don't know what else I could have done. So I'm beyond frustrated.
Big fan of being able to hold orders until a shipment meets the total for free shipping. Always quick and love deal of the day.
Had an issue with a pre-order (not GN fault). One quick email and issue was resolved. ( Less than 24 hrs.) Excellent customer service.
Fast Shipping, items were as described, would buy from again.
Always fast, well packaged, and great!
The experience was great. Everything arrived in a timely manner and the package was properly secured.
Sensational. My go-to for singles and sealed (when its in stock!)
Slay the Spire was hard to get elsewhere. Not only did they have it in stock, but they were not price gouging, and arranged for free shipping and speedy delivery. Thanks Game Nerdz!
Excellent prices and prompt shipping.
Gamenerdz has the cheapest prices, lowest threshold for free shipping, and a holds program that blows everyone else out of the water. I will always check Gamenerdz first!
Amazing customer service. I ordered something and didn’t get something that came with it and they helped me try to get it back from the company I ordered it from.
Great Prices, and easy to place holds to get enough items for free shipping which is $75 compared to most places being $99 or more.
